    At the end of the day we need a good quarterback. Free agent retreads and high draft choices haven't worked out for us. We've missed on a couple others. If McBeane thinks these guys are worth trading up I'm all for it.

    Right so let's sit our hands for another 17 years and hope something falls our way. Sorry I've heard it before. You can draft all the great players you want but if your quarterback sucks you're going to suck. That's just life in the NFL you have to deal with it. This is the year to get a quarterback.

    Ryan Leaf wasn't a bust, he was a dumpster fire! I don't think that's going to happen to this year's crew. However I do think Allen is the most likely to be a bust.

    It's going to be interesting. If they do get a Rosen or Mayfield I believe the Rook starts year one. Anybody else it is going to definitely be a bridge. The thing is you don't know until the draft.

    Were Wentz and Goff once in a generation QB's or sure things? It's the most important position on the field. You got to roll a dice every now and then. This is our year.

    It was cathartic. You may be right about AJ. He'll want starter money and hasn't shown he can do it. That said we don't know his ceiling but we know Tyrod's. If you don't like AJ or Teddy, who's you vet to sign to bridge or back up our rook?

    My favorite McCarron moment was mentioning his name and seeing you light up with a smarmy ass response. If you would have read the rest of the thread, I wanted Bridgwater or McCarron as a veteran presence for our brand new drafted first round quarterback. So chill out take a break from being such a smart-ass.

    Right. But at least he's worth the cost. The others will cost more than their real value.

    Boy you really put a lot of thought into that response. Come on! Mayfield has accuracy, anticipation, can read the field and knows how to win. None of those things define Losman.

    I'd do cartwheels if we got Mayfield. System QB? BS. The guy is uncanny in accuracy, pluck and finds a way to win. He will translate to the NFL no problem.

    I don't want to give up any draft capital for Foles. Save if for the big move to the top 5. Get the rook first, a veteran back up later.

    I know. I can't remember being this jacked up for a draft, and I've followed the team since 1963!

    We do have the capital for that move, but I'm suspect of Darnold. I can't get over that Tebowesque loopy throwing motion. I think he's a ways off from starting. My own ranking is Mayfield, then Rosen. All that said, what an amazing place McBeane has brought us to. Imaging trading a first, second and third in one draft and still having a first, second and third.

    I understand that there are times in life where anything seems possible. Then someone says maybe Indy will trade Luck and our dreams dissappear like vapor....

    If they build an offense around TT I think they'll do well. Which means they better draft Lamar Jackson because that's the way their offense would be built.

    Valid point. But at the end of the day they're going to have to play somewhere. Not sure how many teams would consider them their long-term solution. Maybe a short-term prove-it contract is what they need. Particularly Bridgewater. They both throw with anticipation and actually throw to wide receivers. I take that as a huge upgrade.

    I don't know if Bradford could last 8 games in a flag football league at this point. I'm a little suspect of Keenum as well. He had an amazing talented group around him and seems like a one-year wonder. I also think he'll be looking for a lot more money than Bridgewater would cost. But you're right, both of them should be in play.

    I hope. His production has been declining for the last couple years. Rather have Dontari Poe. Would be nice to have Bradham back as well.
