WR Dorial Green-Beckham

if he's there I would absolutely take him, I don't think he will however. -
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!
Billshank Redemption replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the hire. Buffalo needs a guy that has our back, he's a far better coach then Marrone and at the very least we will slightly increase in productivity next season. -
Package Deal? (Mike & Kyle Shanahan)
Billshank Redemption replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
can someone please explain why we need a football czar? What does it even mean? Didn't the Holmgren situation prove the stupidity in that? -

Package Deal? (Mike & Kyle Shanahan)

Would like Shanahan and Kyle as HC/OC but no way in hell as GM and HC. Awful idea, I want to keep Whaley. -
Head Coach candidate: Mike Shanahan
Billshank Redemption replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. Would stay solid on Defense and improve on offense. Zone scheme for O-line would also be nice -
MSU fan here, never understood the hype with Kirk in the NFL. Dude is a great human being and leader but he just made way to many boneheaded moves when it mattered in college and does the same thing in the NFL. He also doesn't have NFL arm-strength as far as I am concerned. Connor Cook on the other hand... If he can figure out how to handle pressure up the middle better he's gonna be a stud.

what are the odds we finish 4-0?
Billshank Redemption replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a betting man I would say 100-1 but realistically the casinos would say something like 50-1 but I would be willing (and happily would) pay out someone if we went 4-0 these next 4. Just don't see it. -
Is a Bronco Win Over Buffalo Really Imminent?
Billshank Redemption replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I for once think this board is being entirely rational on this topic. CAN this Bills beat the Broncos? Yes. However over the last couple of years they have had an insanely difficult time in beating elite QB's (Would have to go back to Brady in 2011 by my definition). Do I think this Defense is good? Absolutely but so is Denver's (although I think ours is better with far more depth). Like everyone said this game comes down to Orton & the running game getting established. If Hackett can call the game of his life & Orton play his best game of the season we can and most likely will win this game, if he doesn't we will lose. Our defense is good enough to overcompensate for bad teams (see Jets & Browns) but not nearly good enough to overcompensate for the poor offensive play vs solid-good teams (Pats, Chiefs, even the last Dolphins game). Basically the defense can only sustain themselves for so long with the offense stuck in neutral and vs. Denver it just can't happen. You can't punt 4 straight times in this game or we WILL lose. 3-outs can't happen so Hackett needs to plan with a game long battle plan of how to wear down Denver's defense while also keeping our D rested. Even if it means getting to the Denver 40 & pinning them deep thats okay but we can't have the same crap we have the last month. It just can't happen. -
Day after sanity
Billshank Redemption replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I usually am pretty good at getting over losses, yesterday was different. This was one of those few times that playoffs wasn't that big of a hope and a prayer if they could've just won that game which was clearly in grasp. If they would have handily beat us, fine. We were the better team, and we gave it away. Just still unreal for me to think about. -
I have to vent (Lots of anger in here)
Billshank Redemption replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you wanna play that game we absolutely should have lost the lions game. So maybe 6-3. This game hurt more than most for me as well. Just unacceptable. -
I am not terribly worried about Mariota, i think he is far less of a surefire prospect than some would have you assuming. Winston on the other hand (all character issues aside) is the best QB talent and developmentally wise since Luck. If he keeps his head on straight he's going to be a stud from day one. I absolutely can't stand him though.

NFL Rewind URBIK Pass Protect Review
Billshank Redemption replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
all I know was we all were able to notice how bad pears and richardson were. Urbik got the job done yesterday and if we can get protection like that all season (Orton had a ton of time to throw on numerous occasions) and improve on the run blocking to at least put up respectable numbers we will be in good shape. -
You mean that its not obvious that its going to be run up the middle, run up the middle, pass every 3 plays?
-
i don't think schwartz is getting a head job for awhile. He had great talent in detroit and could never get the job done and have them play consistently. He may get an interview or two but I think people just have Pettine fresh in their minds. If we just fire hackett and bring in a proven O-Cord I will be more than satisfied. Also a new O-Line coach.

Agree with most of your points today Bill. M Marrone to me made some really boneheaded decisions that could've cost us the game IMO. Specifically, if you have a kickoff specialist, kick it off. I don't understand the squibb to give the Vikings great field position after we got the TD and finally snagged some momentum.

i don't have any apologies, he had a great play but that fumble was brutal

None of these are particularly good, wouldn't mind detroit vs NO as the top though. -

Have you ever been to a Bills game before? -
We as fans and especially the team can't get ahead of ourselves (which we always do). Look at the last 7 games of last season and how bad we did. You never know what can happen in the NFL and thats why it is so damn exciting. One game at a time with this one having obvious importance. Next week we will be saying how huge the Minnesota game is and so on. If we take it one game at a time we will be in good shape.
