  1. I can't see how all the heavy predraft trade up talk ISN'T a smokescreen... I can't remember this much predraft talk about the Bills, EVER... I think it has EVERYTHING to do with the overhauled from office. I believe Doug Whaley is an incredibly smart and methodical man and that all this talk is in an effort to either devalue any trade up scenario (doubtful) or to force other teams to feel the need to trade up... Ideally, I think that our FO would prefer to trade back, pile up picks, and increase the skill across the board, rather than at one or two positions... We will see starting at 8 if I am right or wrong, but aside from Clowney's freakish ability, I don't see anyone worth trading up for that could immediately impact our roster at a position of need... Clowney's ability in the nfl is clearly debatable, but as Whaley said, it you are going to miss, there is no better DE to miss on than a 6'5", 270lb guy that runs a 4.4 40...
  2. Remember when a player would respectably walk up to the commish, give him a hug and he his jersey up??? Those were the days!!
  3. So they want to trade down far enough that all that elite defensive talent is off the board?
  4. We don't have that type of authority... I tried it a few times...
  5. Word is they had it 3 weeks ago in a bunker
  6. I am going to just throw this out there... Michael Sam may be a Nirvana fan, but it's reported that he will not choose the song 'Rape Me'
  7. If I wanted to premiere LT, I would put a smokescreen out there stating I wasn't moving my current LT, too... Not trying to say Cordy isn't a premiere LT
  8. Must be the new 49ers stadium....
  9. I can't wait to hear someone play some David Allen Coe... (He says sarcastically)
  10. I agree!! Both of the top two teams want to (or claim to want to) move back... There aren't a lot of teams claiming to want to move up... IF all we hear is true, teams would either be forced to accept whatever they were offered, or draft at their current spot... We all know that nothing is what it seems this time of year, but the news of Buffalo blowing up the phones trying to move to 1 or 2 will have me on the edge of my seat!!!
  11. Actually, Maybin was 236 at Penn State and somehow weighed in at 249 at the combine... Both players are undersized for DE, but if they both were in this draft (and Maybin wasn't already proven a bust) is prefer Barr due to his upside... Neither are/were worthy of a top half of the draft position, but Barr could drastically out play his draft position (if drafted in or after the second half of round 1).... Of course virtually every player could...
  12. Typically I would agree with you, but in the last few years draft day trades have gotten cheaper and cheaper... Didn't the Dolphins just package in a 2nd rounder to go from 12 to 3? I think Buffalo could go from 9 to 1 or 2 for as cheap as their 9th pick, a 2nd or 3rd and Stevie I don't want to lose Stevie, but his contractual burden is gonna get silly, quick
  13. I can't wait to see what this draft produces... I find that I waste a lot of time thinking about possibilities, and what I THINK should happen, but something dawned on me... Regardless of my fandom, I will never know what goes on behind closed doors... After things go down, I look at them and can see the thought process- so why dwell on things before they happen... That being said, I can't wait until Thursday night, I apologize now for any drunken rants I may post- good, bad, or indifferent...
  14. I'm gonna have one here for draft day.... slides right into a bounce house!
  15. Beerball, who do you think the target is?? We've all heard the Watkins, Mack, Robinson talk- but do you have any ideas who you think they are trying to get?
  16. I hope we have a successful draft, however it unfolds..
  17. Love me a little Clowney slide...
  18. it kind of irritates me with the lack of support for EJ on here. He was a top draft choice, and has the skills to produce, sure he got injured a couple times, but that doesn't mean he is going to be am injury risk all the time... Conversely, I am probably higher on him, than what he deserves... Saying we DO or we DON'T have a quality starting QB, at this point is premature at best! There has been a long track record of top drafted QB's making significant leaps in production in year two- it was discussed on here already... EJ has the tools, drive, and brain to succeed, lets hope for our teams sake he is the real deal!!!
  19. I think with the talent in this draft, if OBD can find a partner to trade down with, that will be the move. I have all kinds of confidence in Whaley and the scouting dept., and I'm sure they are confident in their abilities... They also prefer to land several top prospects... Only way I don't see us moving back is if someone slides to 9 that they have rated very high on their board
  20. I would think that we won't need a DT until 2016, that gives us two drafts after this to address the need... we are finally getting to a place where we can draft for replacements rather than draft for a glaring need and force them into a plug and play role. I am excited to see where this draft takes us!
  21. Yes.... Next year it's in Warren, PA
  22. hind sight is 20/20... clearly they had a plan when they brought him in...
