One huge key factor in Manning throwing for 5,000 yards with this offense would be the play calling. We ran the ball more than any other team last year, if you are running the ball that much, you are eating clock, and not able to pass as much, restricting the yards your QB can throw for... PS- I hope you were talking about Peyton manning and not Eli.... I'm confident that Eli could find a way to throw 30 INT's with our current roster...

After some convo's with mrags, I was really hoping to snag him.... The good news is that by not trading up for him, we saved a thread on how bad we overpaid to get him... Along with the Mel Kiper report of us having a horrible draft... Oh wait, that happened...

Leading up to the draft I wanted to stay put or slide back... As soon as they announced the trade, I knew it had to be Mack or Watkins.... When they called Watkins name, I had a good feeling that Stevie was gone... I am extremely enamored with the moves we have made, and don't see how it won't add up to more wins... It's a great time to be a Bills fan!

Sure... This is just as likely as some slut regretting that she said "deeper" instead of "no"... I'm not trying to make a joke of the serious nature that is sexual assaults, I firmly believe there is no place in this world for men who commit them, but you need to understand that there is a HUGE number of women that claim something like that happened, especially to a sure to be millionaire, when in all reality, it never happened...

There are two sides to every story... I'm not trying to suggest anything one way or the other or make a blanket statement about all the prospects- but any time there is a report of one person claiming that something happened, there is the possibility that the said act did not actually happen. Sexual assaults for example have the highest "false reporting" rate in the country...

If I read everything correctly, I think the guy you quoted was under the assumption that we now have dead money bc of the trade, when in all reality, SINCE we traded, it freed up every dollar that SJ accounted for towards our cap, increasing the ability to retain CJ or target FA's... Trade SJ = more usable cap room for Buffalo

I think 4th on the depth chart is doing quite the disservice to Stevie... I would say 2nd... Sure he had his problems catching the ball in clutch situations or even holding into it now and then... But he has to be above Woods, and I would say he was no worse than TIED with Williams, which you gotta give Stevie the benefit even our of respect for what he's done.... I don't think that a team should carry 1-#1 WR and 3- #2's... The last 2-3 WR's will be responsible for ST'a role, and you don't want to be forced to put any of those 3 there... Maybe Woods or Watkins on return.... But that's about it Sorry Kirby... I typically agree with what you say, but I don't think you can put woods ahead of Stevie until he proves he's worth it (I won't use that argument with Sammy bc his tools are far superior), and they evaluated SJ as a 4th round compensation and Williams as a 6th... Clearly there are a lot if factors that go into depth charts and packages, but I don't see anything definitive that says Stevie was about to slip from 1 to 4 on the depth chart.... Draft and retain talent? Byrd may blow up in NO this year and make a lot of people on here talk, but if he wasn't playing for a huge contract somewhere, we wouldn't have seen half the production... It was quite obvious that he didn't want to be in Buffalo, so good riddance.... Paying him to stay in town only forces him to be here, not give maximum effort...

That's exactly it!!! If these "experts" suggest for months that team A should take a certain player to fill a glaring position of need and get great value, and said team takes draft a different direction, they can't flip and say it was a great draft. Very similar to how officials won't over turn a poor call and risk making one of their own look bad... Same concept, but in all reality, both scenarios end up making them look incompetent... Kiper and company have no problem coming up with excuses on how players "beat the odds" to become a productive pro... It's very rare when they flat out admit that they didn't see the player for what he was...

That run he made around the :59 second mark scares me... Hopefully he learns/learned to not carry the ball like a loaf of bread... There were 2-3 times on that play alone where his arm was extended with the ball unprotected away from his body.... Very indicative of why he has ball security issues
