  1. What a stupid idea. Are you out of your mind? Haven't you learned anything after what happened in NY last season. The Bills cannot afford distractions especially ones that big.
  2. Gailey seems ready to jettison players he thinks don't fit his system but won't do it with his coaches. Instead he follows a wishy washy approach of bringing in Wannstedt as linebackers coach AND also names him assistant head coach. That guy has been as invisible as Edwards has been all too visible on game days. The linebackers aren't playing any better than the secondary. So now we get to look forward to next year where DW takes over as DC. That's suppose to inspire confidence?
  3. I don't think you can argue that Green Bay did last year. I also think the Bills had more injuries back in 2007. The problem with this team is their starters aren't that good to begin with. So it doesn't take much to go in the toilet.
  4. I agree with with your take on the Steelers. I was also thinking about their free agent signings and couldn't identify any big ones like Philly and some other teams. They basically build through the draft and they are good at it. I don't fault Nix trying to do that but I don't feel they are good enough at it. They may have one or two good picks but they are not consistent especially in the later rounds. Maybe this new guy who took over for Modrak will come through with a year under his belt. But I am not optimistic.
  5. We've been through this before. A new GM/Coaching regime comes in and gives us hope the first year. Then reality hits the second year. Desperation will hit next year. It will never end. These guys are going to follow the same pattern they've followed for a decade and let's face it, they're just not that good at judging talent in the draft and don't want to spend in free agency. Ralph is just going to have to deal with losing more season ticket holders next year. Why bother with a stadium renovation to add to the fans "game day experience" if this is the kind of team they put on the field? One that can't even make it to December.
  6. There is already a good reason to suspect that 2010 will not be "air Buffalo". Chan will build on what he has and that means a healthy dose of Freddy and the running game. TO can only assume that for now and won't know much more by the time FA starts. I don't think he is worth another 6.5M so his only chance of staying in Buffalo would be no one else wants him and Buffalo gets him cheap.
  7. I hope this is the end of the Marty Schott wanted the job but Ralph didn't want him BS.
  8. It's a well known fact to most peoplel that selling the team is Ralph's only viable option. No one in his family wants to keep running it, and this was before his daughter Linda died. If they were to keep the team the estate taxes would be punishing. Selling the team takes care of the tax issue and leaves his family or whoever is in his will a very good return on his initial investment. Selling to the higher bidder would make sense. Wouldn't it be to you if you owned it? So that's the plan. What we don't know is who if anyone can somehow come up with enough money and backing to be in consideration to be the next owner and keep the team in Buffalo. That's why everyone is nervous but I don't think Ralph owes anyone anything to address that. This who is the next owner thing is really someone elses plan, not Ralph's.
  9. Given Chan Gailey has stated he was going to be the OC as well as head coach, should he bring back AVP as offensive assistant/QB coach? I think Alex was tossed into a tough situation after Turk was fired and working for Jauron couldn't have been easy. He seemed to do better under Fewell. Bringing him back to work under Gailey, especially given his knowlege of the personell could free Gailey up to focus on getting a qualified DC. Thoughts?
  10. Don't let the door hit you in the a.., flyboy. We will keep an eye out for you next year to see what a hipocrite you really are. You won't be missed.
  11. Oh, OK. He says he didn't want to return to coaching on his radio show but deep down inside he really did. And the Bills are at fault for not hiring him. Give me a freakin' break. Tim Graham, Where in this article is there even a mention or quote that he said this. What's your source? Why didn't he mention that on his radio show? What BS!
  12. This is not a hit on Chan Gailey. It is about Buddy Nix. I have no problem what Nix tells the media. They are all big boys and should be able to figure things out. And we all know they can make things tough, justifiable or not. They are out to sell papers. However what Buddy needs to learn is that when he speaks to the media he is also speaking to the fans. And Bills fans are tired of having some GM or other front office honcho get in front of a mike and tell us have truths. Donahoe did it, Brandon did it and now Nix is doing it. Telling us he had 15 calls a day some of which would "blow our minds" and not telling us who is an insult to our intelligence. This is the fan base that has to buy tickets not the media that gets to cover the games for free. Buddy. Start being honest.
  13. Stay in St Louis & enjoy the Rams. Neither Schott wanted the job, moron.
  14. Cowher retired after missing the playoffs the year after winning the SB.
