  1. Your answer: "A team is not obligated to grant another team permission to discuss employment with a high-level employee (GM, president or equivalent responsibilities) under contract. For other club employees who do not fall into the category of high-level employee, they may be interviewed for a GM position." http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2014/12/what_are_the_nfl_rules_for_jets_upcoming_contact_with_coach_general_manager_candidates.html
  2. Not in a million years. You'd never get your money's worth. He's never been a 1000 yard receiver, doesn't score many touchdowns and has never started a complete season. WASTE OF TALENT AND MONEY!!
  3. Tyrod screen pass to Watkins (right), gain of 19 yards 17 1st downs.
  4. The way I see it the team is for the fans. There's no point in us tearing each other to pieces over an opinion. I've loved this team and it's fans too long to have it out over a player on the team we all love. They could move Dareus to qb and have him play both ways for all I care as long as he got us back to the playoffs.
  5. I feel the same way but there's no reason to let the wind out of the sails of anyone who's hopeful that he'll succeed. It'll play itself out.
  6. Kubiak can make chicken salad out of chicken scratch in regards to the QB position. Yes it indicates there is something there but he would have another year to work with the kid and allow him to learn behind one of the great NFL quarterbacks. So it wouldn't have been a huge gamble for them to pay him more if he is willing to be patient. Time will tell if he can be something in Buffalo. I just have my doubts that he's ready this year to be the kind of guy that can lead the Bills to the playoffs. If I'm wrong I'll buy his jersey and wear it with pride. Save the post and hold me to it.
  7. It's just my opinion. That's what this board is about. They do have a couple Super Bowls to their credit. They must be doing something right with their roster.
  8. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it. It's a pretty safe assumption that he'll be the gimmick guy and nothing more.
  9. . No need. It's obvious if you've followed him since college. If he was worth a roster spot the Ravens would have kept him. They're above average when it comes to judging talent and keeping the good ones and letting the middling/busts go.
  10. Notice how Rex says he's going to give "both" quarterbacks an equal shot at winning the job. He's not referencing Taylor. He's referencing Cassel and Manuel. Taylor is only going to be a trick play guy if anything at all. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000483546/article/rex-on-ej-lets-not-just-throw-him-out-after-two-years?campaign=Twitter_atn
  11. The kid has talents. Too bad playing QB isn't one of them. He won't be part of the competition for long.
  12. Cassell will start. He'll be better than most expect. Pray that Tyrod doesn't ever have to start because he is awful and has shown 0 improvement in 4 years in the league. He might be okay to keep around for the occasional trick running play but nothing more.
  13. This guy has been dropped from every team he's been on for a reason. I do not want him to be part of the Bills organization.
  14. I'm going with $1 Bob.
  15. He was never considered by anyone in or out of football to be more than a project QB that could possibly be molded into a serviceable starter somewhere down the road. The question I ask myself regarding EJ is, was he given enough time and the right coaching as that "Project QB" to be any further along than he was when he was benched? Or was he exactly how good he could be expected to be at that point in his career and they pulled the plug before he could be truly expected to take a real step forward? You would think that with such a low expectation level he would have been given more time to learn.
