  1. Also, there O-line has been a disaster this year. Been watching there games living downstate and when Eli has time he can still huck it.
  2. Agreed, Joe Gibbs proved you can win a superbowl with a very average QB.... Schroeder and Rypien and a talented over the Hill guy in Williams with a great O-line. The Ravens won one with that numb nuts announcer I can't think of his name right now. This O-line is growing, guard play needs to improvement. That being said Orton is tough to watch especially when missing or not throwing to guys wide open. His accuracy seems off too. He was playing better during the warmer weather. I don't hate him, just frustrated because like everyone else, this team has possibilities and the D deserves to make the playoffs. P.S. Could the Bills just draft offensive linemen and QBs in the next draft, maybe a running back? Do they have enough depth elsewhere? Go Bills
  3. I think it is time. Bills aren't going to make the playoffs with Orton and the Defense deserves a shot. Orton has gotten a case of the Fitzs and can't through the ball long. Bills need to see if EJ has learned anything or do they need to draft a QB in 2nd round?
  4. Agreed which is why the Refs shouldn't have been worried about the Bills winning the game... they had Orton on their side.
  5. Not that the Broncos needed calls because the Orton led Bills offense was so inept, but the Refs insured the game was the Broncos in the first half. The interfence call on the interception..., the interference call on the Ball knocked away near the end zone, the unsportsman like call when the receiver was in the upper ribs, shoulder as the ball hit his hands, the roughing the kicker non-call, the head butt against Chandler. It was obvious the NFL wants the Broncos to lose to Seattle or Greenbayanother Superbowl to Seattle or Greenbay lead by Manning. The fix was in, get over it. The Bills still need a quarterback, but wow this defense is something else. Problem is the league is getting to be like the NBA. The officiating was worse than when Shula was head of the referree committee. I haven't watch very many games this year and now I know why. You get a more balanced reffed game up at a Montreal hockey game... pathetic.
  6. Ah, not old enough to watch 4 Superbowls go up in flames.
  7. I haven't checked in for a while and as I watch Notre Dame get pounded in the first half, I realize that any return of the Bills to glory will have to wait another 5 years. At least next year they will get the Number 1 pick and hopefully can draft a QB. Moroon is going to be a hard pill for Bills faithful to swallow evident by the quick perouse of the 67 pages about this of this mess. I am soooo sorry for the Bills team who I think are just a few linebackers and cover guys away from being a lot better. But WTF this isn't even my childhood Bills team with OJ who at least was entertaining. :censored:
  8. The things that sticks in my head was the fantom ruffing the passer call and there is now way a fine should have resulted and PS Brady's knee was down. That being said, there was no pass rush and Brady picked Bills apart in the second half. I went to the game, my first in a few years and was joyous after the first half and beffuddled by the end of the 3rd quarter.... No adjustments by the Bills coaching staff, no blitzes and no paybacks to Patriot players tacking cheap shots that the refs were not calling. Reminded me of the Sabres after the Lucic incident. They played like a bunch of wimps except Gilmore who was outstanding. Despite getting run over a few times, he kept sticking his head in there unlike Williams and his phantom arm tackles.
  9. Wilfork was allowed to get up and come in from behind and rip it out without any protection from a Bills players. He was flattened, the play should have been blown dead for forward progress, still no Bill protected Spiller from the pile that was on top of him. 10. The last book that I am aware that was detailed on this issue was called College Sports Inc, Written by Murray Sperber From my understanding you are mixing up your accounting terms. Revenue generating vs. profitable. Many schools make up shortfalls in athletic programs especially football by increasing student fees. They hide their losses by attributing many of those expenses to the University itself and generally have no clue on what a profit loss statement is. Yes they are revenue generating, but with a few exceptions they spend more than they bring in. That being said if there were not TV and merchandise contracts with the Universities, I agree this line of argument to pay the players would be a moot point. But as long as someone is making money off marketing the image of these players, I believe they have a right to compensation for it.
