McD took over defensive play calling in 2nd half
North Buffalo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was thinking the same thing. Don't think you let Frazier go, but you might relieve him of play calling duties. Seems like guys really respect everything about him but his play calling because they become too passive. McD is more attack which is what defenders love to do. Frazier gets them in the correct concepts, McD gets them to be aggressive within those concepts... you could see it on the field especially passes over the middle. Last week the ball was going over top of the heads of linebackers... this week Chargers were dumping it off underneath them... I was yelling at the screen... why are you playing so far off... cover someone. 2nd half the D set up in zone and then found someone to cover immediately... kinda like a matchup zone... very aggressive taking away time and space... plus they gave the offense different looks on the D line... looked like the Bills were having fun on D. -

The Organizational Incompetence of the Buffalo Bills
North Buffalo replied to CamboBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ravens did a helluv a job getting pieces but already had a QB and D line, McBrain decided to clear house, but last year’s performances were better than expected. The rest of the clearing was done throughout off season plus Woods retirement. Guessing they planned this all along to get their guys in but last season raised expectations. Now the Bills really stink in all the areas mentioned. Oline needs to continued replacement. Need more D line and another stud linebacker as well as another CB and WRs are a mess. Cap space is available next year. They had to know this year was going to be a disaster but maybe they started to believe their own hype coaching abilities to turn trash into gold... maybe if only a few players but not this much trash. Gonna be a rough tank year... -
sigh another. lost season...?

After this last game it probably needed a newly refreshed thread. Didn’t see the previous thread... just saying was thinking the same thing. Thought the Bills had a chance to be competitive this year... not a chance after seeing that game. They are awful. Get pics or make some trades and start filling in holes right away... Why wait? -
The Organizational Incompetence of the Buffalo Bills
North Buffalo replied to CamboBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Short term, this season is going to suck. The only worry is if it screws up Josh Allen... given his temperament... don't think it will. That being said, not addressing wide receiver and O-line. Especially when Ducasse was such a tire fire last year. Heck he got let go by the Giants. -
Yahoo Pick 'em and Survivor leagues

Took the plunge, holy crap enough signed up for pick’em. Guess some has to have a perfect score. -
I remain hopeful. My biggest concerns remain the trenches especially O line... secondly the WR and linebacker positions. Though there is talent there it is interesting that McD rarely put all the starters together at once and flipped other guys in a lot. It is hard for me to tell what the Bills might have and cohesion takes time to develop so along with the tough sched I cant see the Bills getting off to a fast start even if the competition was less. Baptism by fire right off the bat and it could get ugly. Expectations pretty low at this point.

Sal Carpaccio: Corey Coleman Is In Trouble

Gotta think they keep a couple extra receivers. Ray and Streeter... cut Holmes not seeing the effort plus some of the tight ends are faster. Based on some of the stupid plays Coleman made thinking ps -

What areas of the team has Beane actually improved?
North Buffalo replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sp are the Bills tanking and any chance they could trade Shady for a number 1 next year or a couple of picks in the later rounds. If the Bills start 0-5 or worse gotta think he will be on the block... Gonna be a rough year if the O-lline doesn't come around. Losing Richie and Wood both is a big blow to what the Bills were trying to accomplish this year... Next year they need to draft at least 2 O-linemen, a number 1 receiver and a linebacker or sign Mack and sign a stoudt high end D interior lineman. That is a lot to fill. Haven't even looked at FAs who might be available next year. Any young guys getting cut on O-line or D-line that might be worth PS signings to develop? -
OL what I would like to see happen TOMORROW
North Buffalo replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given that Dawkins wasn't in and the interior linemen were being pushed around definitely Teller. Boettger wiffed a few times and needs some seasoning. Also the mixing and matching against a stout interior line of the Bengals was an obvious mistake. Showed Beane and McDermott how little depth the Oline has... see if Richie could come back? Probably not after his arrest, but agree he needs the structure of the team to keep his sanity. -
Its a preseason game but in SB years starting Oline controlled line so did D line for two series score was 14-0 or 14-3 then subs came in and that was that. The O and D line starters looked horrible. Peterson makes quick decisions and less likely to get hurt. JA gonna have some growing pains with the speed of the game and is gonna need to watch a few before he should start. Oline gonna need to get better before you put JA in there.
