  1. It'll be a tough game and Rogers is a good, maybe someday great, QB. But, 50? No. I think we'll play everyone tougher this year than people expect. Incredibly tough to argue that we can beat the Packers, but the days of not belonging on the field with strong NFL teams are gone.
  2. Man! Wishing an injury on someone ... That's harsh!
  3. yeah, but would you bet anything of value?
  4. I understand the literal sense of the post, but . . . Doesn't Spiller's presence help the O-Line? The Defense has to focus on him and are less able to spend energy, effort and thinking on the other aspects of the offense, i.e. rushing the passer. Spiller means Defenses can't just come across the line hell-bent . . . that definitely gives the O-line help doing their job! Spiller's ability to change direction and be at full speed in an eye-blink means less time that a block needs to be held and still be effective. It's exactly why a playmaking RB helps a passing game. Spiller's versatility creates stress against all aspects of an opposing D's efforts.
  5. like, +1 But, not liking the standing Buffalo is like not liking Dallas' Star or Green Bay's G. It's classic, and represents tons of football history before the Age of Graphic Designers.
  6. The QB discussion is over. Haven't you been watching, reading, listening? It's time to move on and support your team -- or at least, find a new bone on which to chew!! Trent has earned the starter job -- love him or hate him, he's the Bills #1 QB. Let's talk about something else . . . I know . . . Ralph is cheap. No, wait. Maybin sucks. Naw. How 'bout that b@5t@rd Moorman -- now he's a real problem! . . .
  7. Agreed. My point only comes close to making sense if the problem you're focusing on most is which QB to keep and which to cut. If CG has already made up his mind to keep 3 and put LB on the PS, then you go with a standard 3rd preseason game approach. If he's already decided BB or RF is getting cut then there's no need to play him -- even if you're not cutting him till the last moment. No trade value for RF or BB, so that discussion is futile.
  8. The Raider bandwagon has to crack you up!! How soon will these guys be jumping off and washing their hands of this Raidermania?!?!? The Silver and Black might be better this year - maybe better than the Bills. But to think the Raiders are going 9-7 is just crazy talk!! To believe that, you have to believe that their only weakness was their lazy-flake QB! More power to them for getting better - certainly, Campbell is a step forward at QB, but he's not another Manning brother! They just don't have enough talent, yet. I'd love to hear what all these Raider-luvin' pundits will NOT be saying by the first weekend in November!!
  9. But Edwards has already played more than most starters. He'll get his series or quarter, but if Chan is still undecided about BB and RF, then he'll probably limit the known quantity and give more time to those two -- especially if he can get some time for them against Cincy's 1s. Edwards is what Edwards is. I think CG is done over-thinking that one.
  10. It's like real estate. Take the ball. Take the ball. Take the ball.
  11. Bull ****. Pure and absolute Bull ****. What is this Russia or China? I and every fan has a right to boo, wear bags or whatever. 'Good fans'? You mean lemmings? 'Good' fans? Who the !@#$ are you or gailey or anyone to say what a good fan is? all gailey has done is show he is an over sensitive kitty If the shoe fits . . . What are you getting so torqued about? If you invite me into your home, you get to set the standard of behavior. The govt. doesn't. It's exactly because we're not Russia or China that we have property rights, etc. You're right, you get to choose how you behave. On private turf, the owner gets to show you the door if your behavior isn't to their satisfaction. You'll notice I put "good" in quotes -- someone earlier used that term. In reality, the Bills get to define that term. I think you need to lie down.
  12. Good for Gailey. There's no freedom of speech rights when you're invited onto private property to attend a private function. As ill behaved guests, Gailey could have had them removed, his response was fine. It's a shame for the "good" fans in that section, but maybe they'll be less tolerant of such sophmoric behavior. A little thinking can go a long way -- it's amazing how many brains (and characters) get checked at the door of sports events.
  13. Thanks. Luck, Locker, Ponder, Pryce, Mallett, . . . Stanzi, Devlin, Foles, Tolzien, Enderle, Johnson, Dalton, Keenum, Riley, Gabbert . . . next year's draft should be fun to watch -- not to mention this year's college football season!
  14. It seems the "open contest" at QB has been won. I don't think Chan feels the need to keep it undecided until the Miami game. That being said, Edwards doesn't need to play tons this week because he's seen more time than most starters in the first two games. Since Cincy will likely keep their starters in for the whole half or so, Brohm/Fitzpatrick can still get in some time with/against the ones. Seems like this is Fitz's last chance to claim a roster spot. Brohm's game #2 was better than Fitz's game#1, but the coaches know there's a difference between playing in that Washington game vs. that Indy game. Even the coaches had a better night against Indy than DC! It'll be interesting to see what Chan does. Our boys were actually fun to watch against Indy!
  15. Good for Stupar, good for skooby.
  16. Thanks, SDS, good luck with the growing pains -- Thanks for being patient with us as we wallow in all the buggy nooks and crannies!
  17. Or, . . . there's the possibility that, coming back from injury, he'll continue his hard work and put in a soldier's effort. Good or bad, don't see how mocking him gets him to play better (even assuming he reads our nonsense) -- or how it makes going through today better for us as Bills fans. ????? At this point, I think we've dissed the O-line about as much as it needs. Gettin a bit boring.
  18. Later that night on NFLNetwork. 11pm Central, I think.
  19. Sure. I'm just speculating. It would be way too easy to wait around until 2020 and then judge the group! I get your point though I think you're over estimating the 2009 class to make your point.
  20. I think we'll be drafting ~ #5. Locker won't be the pick there, but like I said this a GREAT qb class. When all is said and done around 2025 or so, they'll be talking about how this group edges out the class of '83!
  21. Locker won't be there when we pick. That's OK, though, because there are several franchise QBs that will be sitting there waiting for us. The class is so deep you could even trade down and still get a stud.
