Jamaal Brown to the Redskins
Sabre Bill replied to Nostradumbass's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True enough, but aren't you oversimplifying? Oher stubs a toe and Gaither is cemented into Raven purple, but they lose a DB and . . . not so much. Not that your wrong, but the Ravens aren't a perfect football team, any more than any of the other 31. Ozzie has needs and wants, too. There's a tipping point that will make Gaither more valuable as a trade commodity than as a disgruntled RT. Or then again, we wait till next year and get him to protect the young stud we draft in round one with pick number 10. -
If Thigpen is cut, Gailey will pick him up

"If Thigpen is cut, Gailey will pick him up, He will be his starter . . . " There is a reason there was never a 5th stooge . . . -
Jamaal Brown to the Redskins
Sabre Bill replied to Nostradumbass's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't Brown's injuries, age and overall talent level make him less desirable than Gaither? Now that the market value for Brown has been established, doesn't this make Gaither potentially cheaper? Perhaps Buddy's playing chess and the rest of us are just playing checkers? -
My God, look at the wobble on the deep ball attempts...
Sabre Bill replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many passes does he throw in a practice? How many of those make it to the film clip? How many of those wobble? and, again, . . . it's June . . . Your head's gonna 'splode sometime around late August, isn't it? -
Giants' Hixon out, can we help each other?
Sabre Bill replied to Sabre Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My bad, I've been talking about Hixon as a Giant . . . -
Clip Smith! God, I miss WNY!!!!!!!!

Excellent! Because is you ever make this mistake again and lift Spag's rock . . .

Even if one of current crop does well enough that we have a better than expected record, next year's QB crop is VERY deep. We won't have to be drafting in the top 5 to get a stud. People will focus on Locker, Luck and Mallet, but there's also Ponder, Pryor, Stanzi and even others who people like: Devlin, Foles, Gabbert, Johnson, the guys from Houston and Wisconsin . . . There's a ton of them! The 2011 class will potentially be compared to '83 when all is said.

Giants' Hixon out, can we help each other?
Sabre Bill replied to Sabre Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the Everett connection here, but I'm not sure where you guys are going with this. Hixon is out for the season. What's the Denver connect? I think the Giants could use a potential weapon (Parrish) - their offense has been erratic if not anemic. If Hardy, and Easley both continue to have good camps -- not that either is a slot -- aren't we going to continue to find it difficult to get the ball to Parrish? -
We have extra return guys - With the Giants' Hixon going down for the season, is there anything there where we might help each other? Parish for ? (I like RP, but if we can fill another need . . .) Anyone know much about the G'men?

It's June, why fret about worst case scenarios? Sure, we've all watched through 10 years of waste, but let's give Nix, Gailey and co. a Training Camp at least - before we decide we're doomed for all time . . . Even without the stud quarterback, you're better off being a Bills fan than a Lions fan. And I don't get how you jump to either a doomed rookie stud QB, or a required FA QB acquisition. There are lot's of ways for this to pan out better than the last ten years. Just let it happen. You want gloomy -- go watch the world cup -- that'll remind you how good it is to be a football fan in Buffalo rather than a futbol fan anywhere else in the world! That stuff makes your eyes, and now your ears, bleed!

>> 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Club Onyx, described on its website as an upscale "urban gentlemen's club" and adult entertainment venue. You'd think NFL players would have learned by now, there is nothing but trouble for them in that kind of setting . . . Goodell's gonna have (want/need?) to do somethin -- maybe just one game? a fine?

There's no reason to cut him at this point. He's not a team distraction. We don't need the roster spot for someone else. If the final cuts come down and we're still talking about him, then maybe it gets a little harder to make choices. By then there might be a team needing a headcase battering ram more than we do. Or maybe by then, his mama will have slapped him uptop the head and staightened him out a bit. He's causing more stress for posters on this board than for the Bill's coaches and players. There's potential upside (at least a higher trade offer), so it would be a waste to cut him or trade him for a late round pick. It's not like holding on to him runs the risk of lowering his trade value!

I'm Tired of hearing about the JETS

Me, too! Next . . . -
Maybe . . . try decaf?

Perhaps, if we just stop talking about him . . .

Tough spot for everyone. Like him or not, he's been a good member of the team for years. Is there a better way for him to do this? I don't know, at least he's not Favreing the Bills, but . . . If a trade can be worked, that sounds win-win. At least it sounds like he would play for someone else - closer to family. If you could choose, would you let the company change your job to a role you didn't really fit? I know, most of us don't usually have enough power/wealth to choose otherwise, but . . . As frustrated as we get, these guys must get fed up with it, too. Hope it works out for him and us. It's time to make the best of it, though. Does this open a roster spot?

Yo, yankee, there's no "o" in 'possum!!!

nice to see the saints step up!
Sabre Bill replied to dwight in philly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Totally agree about the Saints and their players!!! Well said and well done! Totally disagree on your attitude toward the celebrities you mentioned. None of us can do everything and help everybody. If you want to be critical choose targets who help no one. Those people do some good. The fact that they choose a different good to work toward hardly makes them bad people.
