  1. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! LeBron Sucks! Gilbert Rocks! I'm thinking of becoming a Cavs fan!!! The fallout from this should be highly entertaining and is a reason to become an NBA fan again -- something I stopped being when POS PS sold the Braves!
  2. If we have a chance of getting Locker next year, that will mean that the 9 months between now and then will SUCK. Luckily, there are two handfuls of very talented QBs coming out next year. Locker's just the best known of a terrific class of QBs. Tough choice: 9 sucky months and Jake Locker or 9 better (than sucky) months and a very good QB later on in round one . . . :nana:
  3. No need to apologize twice -- nice try. Curious readers will figure it out
  4. Why would the 2nd stringer be the lock?
  5. An aging veteran with obvious motivational and health issues? Not to mention the cheating, ref bias and TUCK issues!!!!! Been here, done this . . .
  6. YES, but I'd think of it as a $120 donation to the economically-challenged-in-these-hard-times bookie with whom I was placing the bet! Either that, or Kharma bribe!!!!
  7. aaaahhhhh, early July . . . arguing about the HC's meaning when he uses such concrete language as "made a jump" . . . makes me miss the local pub back in WNY . . . moving to the midwest has really helped my blood pressure . . .
  8. Sayers was a #4 overall in '65, though you could argue that only two teams passed him over since the Bears took Butkus at #3 -- and then the Bears had the #6 also that year. And in the AFL, 3 teams including the Bills passed on him before KC took him at #4. I know it's tough to compare a college kid to a legend, but everything about Spiller screams Sayers -- though I know that dates me.
  9. You're being too rough on Best! A fairer comparison is C. Spiller and G. Sayers! Go Clemson Comet!!
  10. Our standards for success have truly lowered over the last decade!
  11. And, now their one effort to help themselves has failed. link
  12. And now their rookie safety is out - at least for a while. Our db/returners look like Giant bait. I wish I knew what they had to offer that would interest us . . . link
  13. agreed! Really like the tone of OTAs, the pressers, sound bites, even player comments, etc. Any history on CGs game management?? I hate it when supposed pros blow the clock management at the end of halves and games!
  14. Having read the Johnny Cochrane "quotes", I wish it was about a Left Tackle!!
  15. We join in thread after thread denying sports reporters' and TV analysts player e v a l skills, yet we seem to run wild with their bits of wisdom whenever we get the chance. I can't wait for the off season to be done with so we can stop making ourselves nutty! FWIW, here's the whole fact-filled paragraph that rotoworld summed up and passed along as if it was from PC himself. It's from that world-famous football expert Dave Boling (no disrespect, but . . . ) of the Tacoma News Tribune . . . At quarterback, Whitehurst had a pretty nice series in a two-minute session, but he threw two picks in the Red Zone, too. For my money, and I think I've seen every OTA session that has been open to us, I think JP Losman is far closer to being a game-ready productive quarterback than Whitehurst. Losman really has a big-time arm on him, and an awful lot of experience. This keeps up and I'll end up watching World Cup instead of visiting my favorite website forum!!!!
  16. Pretty good assessments/guesses so far -- hard to argue about any of the thoughts. But which two will catch more passes than Spiller? I think only: Evans Easley And I'm still thinking Parrish and/or one of our other return guys (dbs?) is gone before the reg season starts.
  17. Why would Edwards be the easy pick for Gailey? It seems this is the fairest QB competition we've ever seen around here. Gailey has no loyalty to any of these 4 -- maybe you could argue Brown, but really none of them as far as the starting role for this year. I'm enjoying watching them play/work for the job. CG is goinig to know each of these guys inside and out -- yeah, yeah, it's without pads so far, but . . . And where is DiCesare coming from? . . . • Shouldn't Chan Gailey name Trent Edwards the Buffalo Bills' No. 1 quarterback heading into training camp so we can discover, once and for all, if he's outgrown the post-concussion skittishness that seems to have sidetracked his career? I'll reserve judgment on Brian Brohm, but if Edwards is right, he has greater upside than Ryan Fitzpatrick. Then again, with the organization desperate for a playoff berth, perhaps quarterback is more a question of "What can you do for me this minute?" Shouldn't he be a bit more comfortable with the plan at this point in the preseason? What's his rush? As if CG can't make that decision (Edward's skittishness) without naming TE the starter first . . .
  18. There IS hating when taxpayers are told it's their role to fund new stadia in which the multi-millionaires play their game.
  19. We'd have to run 100% wildcat! I think we'll find out very soon that putting RP in for CJS on passing downs isn't necessarily a passing game upgrade. I like Parrish, but I think Spiller is going to be Sayers-like special. It will be complicated to have all these talented weapons touch the ball. What a great dilemma to have!
  20. y...a...w...n... Thanks. y...a...w...n...
  21. Naw, but apparently (since I can do without the World Cup. . . ), my wife would!
  22. Spiller - otherwise he's a bust and not worth the #9 overall!!!! GO, Bills! Go, Clemson Comet!!
  23. $$$$, and shortsightedness. This only turns out dumb if/when Brees get crunched from the left. Either that or "People who have watched him" aren't as talented at judging players as the Saints coaching staff . . .?
