  1. +1! Beautiful block! Rolled one 'Skin into another to spring Roosevelt along the sideline. Love receivers who can block! I (spoiler alert! . . . Glass half-full comment coming . . . ) expect them all to run routes, catch balls, get open, . . . but blocking? It's nice to see!
  2. I'm sure OBD is hoping for THIS!
  3. Thigpen < Campbell There's no upside to bringing in Thigpen. It would just give us a few months to have the same conversations that have been going on for 6 months now. Just go back and erase Edwards, Fitz, etc and replace with Thigpen. Anyone really want to do that? I completely agree with !!
  4. Lankster, I think.
  5. Campbell is an upgrade, but that's not a very high bar. Campbell isn't good business, though. He gets you nuthin beyond a win or two more, for a season or two more. Definitely not Campbell, but certainly none of our "big three" either. CG has to get this team through this season, so we gotta watch what we're gonna watch , but our long-term starter gets drafted next spring and the seasoned vet to ride shotgun for him is still playing for someone else. We'll draft Luck or one of those guys, and we'll have to pick up a guy like Brunell who knows he won't start but has something to teach the rook. I doubt we want TE, RF or BB filling the role of mentor to a stud rookie. Brown hangs around because he's an athlete and an unkown as yet.
  6. REALLY? We can finally talk about real football, for better or worse, and you want us to go HERE?
  7. Problem is . . . the 6th WR is CJ . . . Hardy has to go --- which is a shame.
  8. My bad. Shoulda left this one alone. Thank god for google . . .
  9. This time it's just to screw with Shefter!
  10. +1!!!!! You (and others) are lifesavers to those of us scattered around the country! The Windy City sends HUGE PROPS!
  11. +1 Come back here and take your beatin like a man!
  12. Papa always said, "Ain't no cure for Stupid!".
  13. I hope that none of us are stupid enough to start pushy, unenforcible, silly threads that could be discussed in a more polite manner and still get across the desired point. Unfortunately, . . .
  14. That's a harsh interpretation . . .
  15. It's interesting that we batter a guy who plays by the rules but manipulates them to his advantage, yet the teams do this kind of thing to players all the time. The Vikes just upped the ante by about 4 mil. Seems like, Favre-ing them is a good technique!
  16. Hate to go all Arthouse on ya, but . . . Good fun? sure. Good movies? yikes. That's like watching the ball waddle through Buckner's legs and calling it Good Baseball!!
  17. Looks like someone murdered your avatar! I'll bet we can get this group involved a very worthwhile dialogue on whether it was Mr. Wilson, Mr. Nix or Mr. Schobel!
  18. Not sayin, just sayin . . . And count me out, also, when it comes to going rocky with the Clemson Comet!! But, #3, really?? Is that the one with Mr. T or the Russian? There is only one Rocky -- all the rest are just money grabs!
  19. If that's the goal, can't you do that and save the $10 mil??? For that kinda cash, I'll let you call me a name.
  20. High draft pick? Impact player? For Aaron Schobel? I like the guy. Always have. But, really? Think about what the fan boards would be saying about the GM that gave the Bills an impact player or a high draft pick for Aaron Schobel -- and gave Aaron Schobel $10 mil or so to be one more puzzle piece on a contending team. Those fans would make all the grouches around here look like Oscar -- as long as we're doing sesame street references . . .
  21. Raise your hand if you thought Schobel was going to be worth ~$10 mil this year. . . . Thought so . . . If the Bills had thought so, they would have been actively involved in this sprocess - cajoling him, shopping him, renegotiating his contract, etc. OBD probably made the choice before the draft that this would play out this way. What were the real options? No one was going to swallow Schobels' bonuses and contract. Now someone can pick him up for cheaper. Schobel gets his family time, maybe gets to play for a contender, and starts the next chapter of his life. The Bills save the 10 mil. and don't have to overpay an aging quality guy who was never a stud but never the weak link in the D. Stop complaining! This is a win/win situation.
