Does anyone really truly believe that we are cutting underneath the salary cap so we can "pounce" on some O lineman that gets cut? That doesn't seem like a way to find talent. There were many other ways to address this need and the Bills have failed to do it. This, coupled with the let-go of Evans is really making me wonder about this franchise.
I for one hope you come back to the games - I have always admired how tough the Canadians were to drive that far, take time to buy their hamburgers across the border because of some silly regulation on Canadian beef, and of course to make sure all of their citizens have access to health care. My experience is that we are welcoming at the games, we need all the fans we can get and you don't really want to root for the Rough Riders anyways
The Ghost of Todd Collins by I.P. Freely
There once was a man from Nantucket,
He never wanted to see J.P. Tuck it,
So he asked for Trent,
All the $ it did went,
And now we have a Harvard QB who can't chuck it
I love the Bills too and I think I will always buy tickets but I know they are going to lose this year. That's why I have my seats on the opponents sideline - so I can see some real professionals in action. I hate the Pats, but it has always blown my mind that Brady throw 10-15 yard passes the entire time the defense is on the field - mindset baby!
It would be great if one of our longshots/projects actually panned out. Then again I guess converting Peters worked out but then we weren't willing to pay for the monster we created.
I think you can still billieve and think they aren't going to do well. I really think we are headed in the right direction with Chan - but if they win more than 6 this year it will be a miracle - I think we are still 2 years away. I feel like we made some good picks in the draft and I would much rather do what Buddy and chan are doing by getting free agents they think are real upgrades rather than "big name" additions a la the Pats. Of course it always seems to work for them but I guess you have to get the winning mentality back first. I can root this year for the future-- I just can't do that every year!
Good post - made a lot of sense - we don't want to overpay like the Walker signing and who really wants Ochocinco anyway. I think we all know deep down that we have at least another year to rebuild. I don't mind taking idiots like TO for a 1 year deal - but I think Gailey/Nix have made some pretty good picks and tried to get value where they could. Buffalo is not a place many want to come to - so they have to come for the team - we have to keep building
