I love how the Cowboys & Jets are Out of the Playoffs & Still Steal the Headlines, Thanks First Take
-
It is extremely rare for a QB to fall. They go the opposite way, up. And when they do fall, it's because it's consensus among the GMs that he's likely a bust and that's pretty damning.
Its not extremely rare for a QB to fall, Aaron Rogers, Brett Favre & Dan Marino fell down, its mostly due to need & there are really only have 4 teams in need of a QB so the demand isn't high & after Smith & Barkley are gone look for the 2nd round to explode for QB's
-
We Could Trade Down & Still Get Geno Smith or Matt Barkley, Kansas City are not going to Draft a QB at least not in the 1st Round & neither is Jacksonville, They are Gonna Trade for Tebow
Tyler Wlison could be a late one or early two pick & Ryan Nassib could fall to a mid 3rd Round so there is options out there
-
Chip Kelly Staying at Oregon, To Quote Promo The Robot " The Bills look very smart right now" ,Marrone was the Browns & Eagles second choice
-
Nassib at best is a 4th to 5th round pick if your gonna trade down you do it for Barkley
-
Ok...I am sick of all of the damn negativity...where is The Senator?
I agree, Marrone hasn't coached one game for the Bills, give him a chance before you call him a failure
-
Who did Kelly sign with?
The Browns are no longer interested in Kelly, its down to the Eagles or he will just go back to Oregon, rumor is he wants total control of football operation
-
Everyone is not going to be happy with this choice, I wanted Chip Kelly but we went in a different direction & at least it was a bottom feeder like Hue Jackson, I say give him a chance
-
This is Doug Marrone for those who don't know what he looks like
-
Rumor is Chip Kelly wants total control of football operations & Cleveland is willing to give it to him, I think that's why the Bills & the Eagles could be next to pick another coach, Marrone was rumored to be the Eagles second choice.
its just rumor but strange the Bills sign him so early this morning so maybe there is some credibility to the rumor
-
Hard not to think of negatives:
Cheapest option
No Pro coching contacts to build staff
Remember last coach to excite management that was a surprise pick... Greggo
I think the fan base will, at leat initially, be disappointed
I hope I am wrong, just strikes me as same old Bills... looking for a new coach in 3 more years.
I don't think he was the Cheapest option, 4 teams had him on their list ahead of Lovie & Whisenhunt & Chip Kelly might have lowered his option to just Cleveland
-
I Happy with this, we got a young, offensive head coach with NFL experience, his record at Syracuse wasn't great but you can't recruit in a conference that's basically a train wreak, so his record is suspect
-
Doug Marrone runs a no-huddle, up-tempo offensive scheme, he 49 from the Bronx's
He was a really popular choice, he was Interviewed by Eagles, Browns, Chargers & Bills The Eagles & Browns reportedly had extremely positive Interviews maybe thats why the Bills signed him so quick
-
NFL Network is Reporting Doug Marrone has Signed with the Bills too
-
The Brown Have Only Three Good Payer , Trent Richardson, Joe Thomas & Joe Haden, The Chiefs have Two Jammal Charles & Dwayne Bowe, that's just my opinion & as far as the Pro Bowl, its has been a joke since the fans got to vote so I don't put any stock in that
-
I have reservations about every candidate. I just want to take a chance for once and see what happens.
I agree on both points, especially on taking a chance, I am sick of the Bills playing it "Safe" its has gotten the team nowhere in 12 years
-
Please, then, get me to Monday.
I don't think Kelly's style will work well with veterans over the college players he has today. I'd hope that anyone coming in would be hired as a head coach and not also a coordinator for either the offense or the defense.
we ran the wildcat offence, the players just have to give it a chance
-
But coaches only care about good weather. That's the overwhelming reason every coach will pick San Diego first.
San Diego is a beautiful place to live but people say the Bills are cheap but the Chargers are worse, not only to they not sign free agents but they let their best players go too
-
Well, when you consider that pick was Todd Blackledge and he was taken BEFORE Kelly and Marino, I'd be a little gun shy about taking a QB in the first round, too.
GO BILLS!!!
Yeah but after almost 30 years you'd think they'd be past that,
-
I'd like to see the Seahawks I was a Russell Wilson Guy when he was a Wisconsin
-
-
I'd say the Eagles Job is the worse, you have a impatience, negative & hostile fan base that have expectation that are unrealistic with their talent & that not the worst part, the Philadelphia press are murder,
So the next coach better get ready because Andy Reid ignored them for 14 years & now they are looking for blood & the Philly press don't do Honeymoon period.
-
I'm still pretty torn on Whiz, but I will say that he is a definite upgrade (as long as he doesn't want to bring in a 3-4 defensive coordinator).
Well you've got potentially the right idea, but for the wrong reason. They would use Whisenhunt as a smokescreen so they could get a leg-up and steal Kelly from other teams. They would want fans to get hyped up.
I thinking they might not want fans to know in case it doesn't workout so we won't be crushed

I think you could get Romo for a 5th or so, especially since there is no chance the Cowboys can bring Romo back under the circumstances. If we traded a 5th for Romo and asked him to compete for the starting job and also drafted a young QB to bring along, I'd be pretty happy with that..
No offence to you but I'd rather get a drunk from the parking lot during a game to start at QB than Romo
