Paul was the better singer from a technical standpoint. But John on lead with Paul providing harmony is what made the Beatle's "magic". Paul was an amazing accompanying singer.
-
Someone mentioned Freddie Mercury....Winner. Total control and amazing range. Ann Wilson--------Freddie's female equivalent. Honorable mention: Karen Carpenter. A voice that sounded like honey flowing from a microphone.

I never left, he exited the thread. He had the pick of the litter and access to the entire XTC catalogue at his disposal. My job was easy, his job was far harder, but that is what you get when you run your mouth. He never answered any of my questions either. But here ya go! Any monkey can cut and paste, so here is a random list cut and pasted, happy? Thank You! You've had your nose up my skirt chasing me around for two solid days. I made one idiot (you) listen to more crappy rubbish than he ever dreamed he would....and one little idiot (Fraud) ran away earlier today. All in all, a pretty sweet week of work. Your Welcome!

But at least they will all be in my possesion. Hey, why don't you shoot me your address and I'll send you some.... oh, I don't know, maybe............... XTC? Heard enough?
-
Try to extend an olive branch and this is what I get. I don't hate the same way you hate Chef.
-
The point is, I have poisoned 50,000 minds against XTC thus eliminating competition, and now all those hard to find Andy Partridge solo records are going to soon be mine all mine!
-
You see even I have limits when it comes to bad taste.
-
Well, for better or worse the name is out there now thanks to that nifty 28 pager. My job here is nearly complete...
-
What!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andrew Ridgley is a GOD a !@#$ing Rock God!!!! Get ready for round 2 Mother @#$%^&* Errrrr!!!!!! Actually, I cannot defend Wham...
-
Well, it was almost a truce....now, let me see...where did I last put that soapbox?
-
Point is, he didn't produce just anybody, plus you left out two of your faves: Cheap Trick and the NY Dolls. I wish to god that this thread would just die already, it feels like we are running a marathon and neither will admit defeat...just admit that XTC is NOT music to torture your dead cat to and I will let it go.

I really don't give a horse's shiny ass if you like them or not! I was teasing you about the dark side business...I just wanted you to acknowledge that they are a credible enough group that Mr. Rundgren himself would actually sign on to a project in the first place. But hey, I must have missed that Rundgren/Bananarama concept album that came out the following year. you know...since XTC...was JUST ANOTHER band from the eighties. No matter what that disc (Skylarking) had on it, before the proverbial needle touched the record, your mind was poisoned against it. Period. You are as hard to crack as a hard-core hunger striker, I'll give you that...
-
Huh...one song, fantastic. Silly me, I actually expected more from you. Oh well, at least your Hero has a longer attention span than you do. I guess that is why TR is rich and famous... Saw him in Atlanta years ago supporting "the Individualist" record, still got the T-shirt.... for whatever that is worth.
-
Actually, I was paying you a compliment.
-
An hour ago you didn't even know who XTC was....do you like joining random pile-ons or something?
-
You listened to Skylarking?
-
Ok, I'll give you that one...that made me a laugh a little. Good one.
-
You were boring hours ago...Fraud!
-
For a man who "hates XTC" you sure do spend a bunch of time researching them. Come on over to the dark side old boy, I feel your strength is failing you...you might just give in before the day is done!
-
Obviously good enough to keep you hanging around, begging at my feet....you and your silly scorecard. Fraud.
-
There, fixed that for you.
-
Hope you never ever have a "falling out" with someone in your life Chef. Again, TR thought enough of XTC to produce Skylarking in the first place. Why don't you do yourself a big ol' favor and pick up a copy of Skylarking?
-
What's the matter K? Scared to death to post on Youtube? Agree to my request and I will gladly release five songs for you....till then you are a fraud.
-
You MUST care...you keeping responding don't you?
