I agree. If it were my money being spent, I'd be comfortable with a 1+option year type of deal. I'm all for adding a variety of skill sets at RB. Just wouldn't want to be on the hook for a lot of guaranteed money.

I'd offer Green Bay isn't a top tier destination for FA. Weather aside, it's the cult of Aaron Rodgers there and they never seem to be big spenders since Rodgers alone accounts for nearly 21% of their available cap space. The Bengals haven't won a playoff game since 1990 and only offer terrible weather, terrible uniforms, terrible track record in drafting and a miserly owner. To the plus side, Joe Burrow may right the ship there, the stadium is pretty nice and it appears they've done some good work on the new uniforms.

He's always been a productive running back. It's just that you're always on borrowed time with him unfortunately. Hard runner, elusive. As others have said, he's cranked out 1,000 yard seasons in a middling Broncos offense. The issue is that he has a LONG history of significant knee injuries. Has torn ACLs in high school, college and in the NFL. Those knee injuries now may be affecting his hips as those too now are getting dinged to the point he missed games over them. I'd speculate that his career longevity isn't fantastic and the Broncos didn't want to invest long-term and he's looking for that long term contract.

Both players are great. I picked Mack. His contract is a known quantity and I think Chicago is desperate to clear contracts and accumulate picks, whether it's for another shot at Wilson or to move up in the draft. I don't think NFL players with neck injuries have long post-injury careers. Hunter probably has 2, maybe 3 years under the very best of circumstances. That'd be just fine if you were absorbing an existing contract with that sort of timeline and where the current team has paid out some of it. In this scenario, however, not only will you part with some pretty significant assets in a trade, you also now have to navigate negotiations with this player who wants his first big new contract. The agents would negotiate hard to get a lot of that money paid out in year 1. If he'd have to retire after just one season due to injury, that's a mountain range of dead cap for as far as the eye can see.

It's not my money, but if it were, I wouldn't invest in old pass rushers, players that have been blatantly stealing paychecks (Clowney), and guys who go all-pro in their contract year (Reddick). The state of emergency is good business for state government bureaucracy. There is every incentive to keep it alive so that the federal government continues shoveling money to the states to prop up pensions and pay for all sorts of stuff. The stimulus bill reflects it. NY state is set to receive nearly $24 billion in cash with no strings. If the federal government told the healthcare industry and the states that no more federal money is coming their way because of COVID, states would open up within the hour.

I voted no in consideration of a scenario where the Bills would have that one magical SB season where it'd all come together. I think a one off SB win doesn't top sustained success and dominance like the 1990s Bills had. Is Doug Pederson the best coach in Eagles history because he hit pay dirt one year? I think the McDermott era would, at minimum, have to have the Bills of the 2020s stringing together division titles and AFC division and championship games.

This will make for an interesting off-season of 1-year deals and trades.

He's an exhausted elderly man and I expected to start seeing signs of fatigue about 3 months in to his term. The pandemic and a fawning press allowed him to rest, recoup and stay relatively crisp without much interference or questions being asked. The grinding requirements of being POTUS allow no such respite for anyone who holds that office. You'll see him drop out of sight for a few days before his first press conference.

I agree. I'd only add that cheerleaders are traditionally the community ambassadors for the team and that NFL cheerleading is a pinnacle of excellence in the dance profession, even to a higher degree than being in music videos and being selected as a dancer for musician tours. It's an industry in itself. To be selected for an NFL cheerleading spot, not only are you likely an excellent athlete but you also dance professionally. You can't sweat or look like you are huffing and puffing through routines. Teams have gotten away from squads that consist mostly of models because there's no guarantee they are going to be able to execute the more complex choreography. Models can look pretty but be completely out of shape. Dancers have dancer bodies and they are trained to dance.

While I understand her approach, I strongly doubt the Falcons will pick Paye at #4. That's like drafting Takarist McKinley all over again. I think they will draft Matt Ryan's successor. This draft is probably scaring NFL teams to death with so many players opting out from last season. Are they out of shape? Did they over-condition where they will tear an ACL in short order?

We are going to see a lot of teams cutting solid players this season as they penny pinch. However, there is opportunity for both players and new teams in signing incentive-laden deals or 1-year prove it deals and enter FA next season where there may be more money.

I think the sexual harassment allegations gives him an easy out. It's little coincidence that started warming up as questions about the nursing homes gained a little traction. I don't think he knew about the cover up personally and he's refusing to go down for it. He's in self preservation mode. I'm sure the plan is to resign well before any in-depth investigation into the nursing homes begins and there will be a concerted effort to "move on" and get back to normal. Why? I think the fatalities at the nursing homes are significantly higher than what's been revealed to date, there were things done not in accord with the law, and somebody will need to go to jail for it.

The first question in the algorithm should be "Is he healthy? (Y/N)" This isn't the year to give out rich contracts to seriously injured players. I'd argue no year is great for that, but this is a penny-pinching year where the dollar will be stretched to breaking point.
