  1. Imagine a world where the Bills, Jaguars, and Raiders are battling it out for playoff berths! Long live the 90s.
  2. He's an exceptionally intelligent person and football player and that's hard to pass up when paired with his football talents. If I recall, he attended Bloomsburg on an academic scholarship. The football skill was just a nice surprise.
  3. Bloomsburg grad. Saw him play. Go Huskies.
  4. I think this would be a waste of money.
  5. I chose NONE. I think the Bills would be wise to copy what the Cardinals did at the ILB position this year with Deone Bucannon. You need one of your ILBs to quickly cover sideline to sideline and to cover TEs.
  6. I find the lack of food and lack of ammo stories a bit contrived. In the prison story line, the group had both crops and cattle in less space. The group also seems to find weapons with the greatest of ease - everything from rifles to RPGs. You couldn't ask for more access to military grade weapons and caches of ammo considering Virginia is home to countless modern day military bases. If you go back to the first season, how many pieces of equipment did Rick walk and the group walk by on the way to the CDC? It'd be interesting to see the group destroy Negan's base and Negan then occupies Alexandria under a reign of terror with the group on the outside looking in.
  7. No. All hat and no cattle. Ryan's not the guy. Nothing this off-season has changed my mind about that.
  8. They will do these superhero crossovers forever but Hollywood won't dare entertain a Die Hard/Lethal Weapon crossover. This Batman/Superman movie has the same critical flaw that the Marvel series has developed Too many characters. We've got three superheros, possibly five appearing in this one move alone and at least two villains.
  9. Everyone is going to be ok. I think the Bills will find a new productive member of the front four. Mario will have a rebound year next year for another team. In my opinion, this parting of the ways isn't a disaster for either side.
  10. I don't think he will play out his contract. He looked old in the AFC Championship game. Maybe one more season or two and then he will wrap it up and walk right into broadcasting.
  11. Question: Is Curry historically good or is team defense historically terrible?
  12. I have Jets fatigue after we brought over and largely retained the entire Jets coaching staff. Perhaps I have just a general all things Jets exhaustion.
  13. If parents could neither coach or watch their kids play organized sports, you'd be surprised at the sheer number of kids back out on the playground having fun.
  14. This needs to stop. I'm tired of the front office bringing in every Jets cast off for a look see. It's like they've adopted this board's not-serious "I've heard of him!" into a serious free agency recruitment program. If we must run Rex's defense, you don't need old Jets players past their prime and want a lot of money. You need smart football players. You can draft those.
  15. Give him a fullback and the I-formation and he's a force. I usually think it's BS when somebody says "scheme' was at fault but his situation in Philadelphia really made me re-evaluate that position. It's mission impossible though. It's a $13 million cap hit to cut or trade him. Ouch.
  16. Both of these men need to get over themselves.
  17. I think parenting is difficult. As your kids get older and get into high school on the cusp of being adults, you've got to weigh success vs. happiness and have a little self realization of who's going to define that success and happiness - and who really should. It's not easy. I've always been troubled by the parent who's forcing football on their brilliant musician son simply because dad played football. Or forcing college on their child who understands and enjoys fixing cars.
  18. This isn't a hard deal to do. It takes Mario taking a little less money and Rex turning Mario lose on the quarterback and knocking off the coverage nonsense. There is nothing stopping this fence from being mended but ego. Both sides have to adapt. That, of course, will stop it.
  19. Talking Saul would be a lot better if it had a different host, different format and a different set - a bar would work well there. Something like the bar where Jimmy and Marco pulled the cons. Needs a unique host for the show. Hardwick's goofiness works for Talking Dead but not for Saul.
  20. Considering the oddity of this offseason, would anybody be surprised Mario remains a Bill on a revised deal? You know, continuity and all.
  21. I think you'll be a-ok. You're thinking about things most homeowners do not. (They pretend the water will stop. They forget that water heaters eventually die.)
  22. I am not in WNY so I can't help you with a contractor recommendation. I only offer some advice. If you have a wet basement, don't ignore or cover up the problem. If it's wet, you have to fix that problem first. If you have utilities in your basement, don't box them in a closet around your existing water heater, HVAC, etc. My sister bought a house with a finished basement and they did that - and when you want to put a new HVAC in or need room to remove the existing water heater, there is nowhere to go. You'll probably need a secondary egress out of your basement - that may get pricey if you need to excavate for an egress window.
  23. It's amazing that the Western Conference has three teams with 40 wins at the break. (Warriors, Spurs, Thunder) Anybody think the Clippers will trade Paul or Griffin before the deadline?
  24. It's only speculation but McMahon is up to his eyeballs in an FBI investigation in Allentown, PA that began this summer. So far, that investigation has spread to other agencies locally and has ties to influential people in NYC. The mayor who appears to be the main target of the DOJ, retained him as his attorney.
  25. Please confuse efforts with results. Please?
