More “painful” layoffs coming for espn
dpberr replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ESPN like cable news is now 97% talking heads giving opinions, 3% real news and sports "opinion" is over-saturated. Those opinions either turn people off or just wear you out and ultimately make their on-air personalities unlikable. -
Belichick getting haunted by bad GM'ing again
dpberr replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think the Patriots have drafted very well absent Brady and I think that's what is catching up to them, especially on defense. Their defense is slow and average and Brady is the only thing saving them now. (They score 28 points a game, give up 26). -
Positives/Negatives from Today's game
dpberr replied to Overseas Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beating the Raiders will make a believer out of me. That game is going to be a defensive grinder. I'm curious about what happened yesterday in the second half. Did TB make offensive adjustments that worked or did we make defensive adjustments that didn't work? -
He is injury prone. After he was drafted, he had two surgeries - one on the hip and the other to repair abdomen muscle. In camp, he hurt his hamstrings. Now, the knee. Very talented athlete and will be an amazing safety but IMO he's got a basketball player body and it will betray him with playing football.

Bills tried to move Dareus before the season. Open to it
dpberr replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt everything LaCanfora says. THAT being said, I'm all for the Bills moving on from Dareus. It's long overdue. I think what you see is what you get and continue to get. I don't foresee him becoming an explosive player anywhere else because he lacks the desire to be such a player. -
What Would It Take For You To Quit The Bills?
dpberr replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Outside of relocation, I'd leave the Bills if they sold the naming rights of a new stadium to a non-Buffalo area corporation. For some reason, that'd really annoy me. -
Stop linking to Buffalo News aritcles

I agree with the OP that it is an annoyance to have a lot of 3rd party paywall content at the top of the home page. -
Why are MNF ratings low this season?
dpberr replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a stale product. At this point it's overproduced. They could improve it by jettisoning the announcers and opinion and let the game play. They should also start the clever intros TNF started doing. Those are offshoots from how NBC and CBS would intro games in the 80s. -
Interesting Dareus post on facebook-Bills Mafia page

I've supported moving on from MD for a few years now. What you see is what you get. -
Dolphins O line coach in video doing drugs
dpberr replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knocking up hookers and doing lines with dirty dollar bills in Miami is so 80s. Bonus points are awarded for destroying your life with some flair. -
SAL M: Bills WRs have no business being starters.
dpberr replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's on the FO to fix this with the bye week here. If I were them, I'd bring in every FA wide receiver with NFL game experience for a tryout. Yes, Every. Single. One. -
No one should be surprised. This is 2014 all over again.
dpberr replied to Wayne Arnold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's professional malpractice if they don't address the WR and TE positions with experienced players during the bye. They can't roll out practice squad and call it a day. -
Amen to that. I've moved on to a new position with a new company and I no longer have to park in a garage. It's more a comprehensive one-over of a banner year of paint transfers and dings no matter where I'd park. The marks should be easy but the dings take some talent and skill. It turns out my BIL had some hail damage repair by a shop that he thought did a good job and took it there for an estimate.

There are *so* many Star Treks Shatner Trek Stewart Trek Pacula Trek Pine Trek Yeoh Trek Not to mention Deep Space Nine and Voyager. People still get it mixed up with Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica. "Doesn't Captain Picard fight the Cylons in that episode?" I don't think anything will top TNG.

My thoughts: I had no idea Peter Coyote was still alive. For some reason, I thought he had passed a number of years ago. I was surprised to hear him narrating the shows. My overall feeling about the Vietnam War: A sad, regrettable, completely unnecessary waste of humanity. That's further compounded by the fact, today, we are Vietnam's second largest trading partner and we hold joint military operations with them.

Adam Gase Tired of Dolphins' "Garbage" Offense
dpberr replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Matt Moore is a more efficient quarterback than Jay Cutler is this season because Moore knows the system and the plays. Dolphins will struggle until they accept this fact and make the change. -
Companies are starting to take sides with protests

The first amendment in action, demonstrating what makes this country unique in the world, and nobody is happy. -
Lorenzo Alexander proving he's not a one year wonder
dpberr replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are five Dareuses (sp?) to every one Alexander. Alexander takes care of himself year round and is a football player not just an athlete. The Bills deserve credit too for giving him the opportunity to excel at a position other than special teams. -
Remember when everyone thought Bruce Arians was a genius?
dpberr replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Cards are the NFC team I follow. They got old *quick*. The team still employs Karlos Dansby. Palmer should have retired last year, there is no running game, and their offensive line shift has been a disaster. They made Veldheer switch from LT to RT (after playing LT in college and his entire NFL career). -
Anyone tune into the documentary that's currently airing on PBS? Any thoughts?

Whoa: A. Hernandez most severe case of CTE ever
dpberr replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. It only takes a single case where a school system or university is held liable, to kill the NFL. The league wouldn't have any players because schools won't dare risk being liabile. The other route is if CTE can be detected in a living body and NFL owners are sued for knowingly employing brain damaged men in a sport where you take hits to the head. -
Halle Berry proves there's hope for us schlubs
dpberr replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
For some reason, the "quote" button doesn't work today Poojer so here's my response to why I suggest Taylor Swift is a headcase. 1. Men don't stick around in relationships with her. That's a telling point. For how attractive, successful and wealthy she is, men check out in weeks, months. This suggests something is wrong there. 2. Local knowledge. (She grew up here.) 3. If you're bored, check out her 73 questions video on YouTube that Vogue magazine puts together of various models and "stars" allegedly in their own homes, unscripted. -
Pure speculation but I've wondered if detonating nuclear weapons underground has "jostled" something that results in having two quakes in Mexico and one in Japan, all in a relatively short period of time. ...and even further speculation - did it trigger underwater ocean volcano activity that has led to warmer ocean waters to spin up this series of hurricanes?

She's a headcase. As is Taylor Swift.
