Some of you guys would have bright futures with the CIA.

Patriots (I think they legitimately cheated the game and the league and it was covered up) Nittany Lions (weird cult-like phenomenon there) Redskins (entire fan base lives in the 90s more than we do)

Bills miss out on London games for '18-'19 season
dpberr replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Seahawks and Raiders are going to love that nearly three year long plane ride. -
I like them both. Hurst is ferocious. Vea is massive. I'd pick Vea because 1) he's Ted Washington 3.0 and 2) his presence on the line can make the linebacker corps an elite unit without elite individual talent. I think Hurst needs a legitimate nose tackle body next to him to be elite.

IMO, Heat was Pacino's, DeNiro's and Mann's best. (and...arguably the best crime opus of all time.)

Marcell Dareus: Going to Jaguars “changed my life”
dpberr replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We will see. He had it easy going to Jax in the middle of the season. There will be expectations of him in the off-season by Coughlin/Marrone that will exceed those that he had in Buffalo. Getting in far better shape. Learning the playbook. It won't be enough to just stay out of trouble. -
I remember when someone posted Rex's real voluminous defensive playbook from his time with the Jets. I was paging through it and I know that my brain isn't wired to memorize and then recall all that on a moment's notice in a game. I think "reading" a defense is just as much a skill as is passing the ball. You need to have a part of your brain that's got a predictive analytics department in it. It's what makes Tom Brady special. It's why he's still shredding the defenses from predictable coordinators at 40. I'd go so far to say that's why some amazing college talent never cuts it at the NFL level while others flourish.

Breaking news. Rick Dennison

If this ends up not happening, can this poster be banned or at least punished? Teachable moments ahead. -
Do You Give Panhandlers On Street Corners Money?
dpberr replied to Rico's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I see a dedicated racket in my area of so-called homeless "vets" that strategically place themselves in high traffic areas around Targets and restaurants. These guys work in a pack, and rotate between the spots. The police chase them off - but they reappear a few miles away where there are different police. They don't harm anybody and they don't try to wash your windows or anything. What gives these guys away is #1 - they wear very clean, very new clothes with a just-purchased brand new American flag sticking out of the requisite backpack. Plus, these guys don't look anybody in the eye. Giveaway #2. Giveaway #3 is that the homeless in this area are largely invisible. They live in camps in the woods or under a nearby bridge. They only come in to civilization when it's brutally cold or they desperately need medical attention or need to show up for court, etc. -
Possible Darkhorse FA QB's
dpberr replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My dark horse pick is Cam Newton. There's no guarantee new ownership, GM, etc. are going to tolerate another year of "Cam"anigans especially with so many choices available this year in the QB market. Joe Flacco would be my runner-up. I don't think Baltimore is long for that guy either. -
He should be and I didn't think he would be but Shula's availability may change "the" plan.

There isn't a single OC out there that doesn't believe his own "magic" can work wherever he wants it to. The WGR points are repudiated by fact in some ways. Dennison came on board with the same eh QB issues, same ehh WR issues, same talent gaps, same older players and a complete unknown - at the time- as a head coach.

2018 Veteran QBs - the Mega Poll
dpberr replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I picked Bridgewater. I'd be shocked if he were available. Minnesota loves the guy. Bills need to rethink the OC and the zone blocking before they quarterback shop. Fixing the Rick Dennison problem is #1 off-season issue IMO. -
I agree with the OP. As a Bills fan, this game was quite exciting. They made Bortles beat them. He did. This time. Barely. Heard all week about how Jacksonville was going to run the Bills right out of Florida in a blowout.
-
I loved the Bills effort today. They all showed up. I am happy that this game was close, was winnable. I thought it was an exciting game. Was tired of hearing how the Bills would be blown right out of Florida. That being said, Tyrod can't be here next year and neither should Dennison. It's time to finally take the next step and you need more from the QB and OC to keep going in the playoffs.

Name the biggest NFL misconception by media and fans
dpberr replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Free agency was good for the league. Fans love Carrie Underwood and whatever they call the abomination of rap and country in the blender for MNF. Los Angeles will be different this time. -
I figure the team can't just plug in a running back of the street with this zone blocking scheme. Knowing *where* the lanes are going to be is part of the play, but also knowing *when* they will be open is too. I'm pretty sure it's why audibles are far and few between. That's where corporate knowledge becomes the asset to have. It's why your practice squad players have more value than a free agent.

You remember the Saints game? That's exactly what the Jags will try to do. That's where the Bills need to be creative.

Dennison - Does He Stay On As OC For 2018?
dpberr replied to The Guy In Pants's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dennison needs to go as does Castillo. I don't think a Super Bowl run would change my mind either. They are two coaches who try to fit personnel to *their* scheme and script and it's not a sustainable approach for success. I think it produces lazy, uninspiring and at times gutless football that really smart coaches figure out at halftime. (See: New England Patriots) That being said, I do think Dennison has gotten the memo of late that he needs more than a half of offensive plays and that running and hiding after halftime with a lead only works in the NBA. -
Screamed like a professional wrestler. Son and I ran around the house in 7 degree temps in just boxers. Said I'd do it if it happened. Man of my word.
