That 7th rounder was Matt Flynn. National Championship holder Matt Flynn. Of the LSU Tigers. They play in the SEC, which in the opinion of many is the greatest football conference in the world. Don't act like this kid was some chump out of a D-III school. "On January 7, 2008, Flynn led LSU to a BCS National Championship, beating Ohio State 38-24. Flynn was named offensive MVP of the game. As the starting quarterback for LSU, Flynn led the Tigers to an undisputed #1 poll position."

If you draft good players it doesn't matter where they come from, get it? Say Hello to Haloti Ngata.

This is the greatest post I've read in weeks.

Not with that criminal record following him around. Politician A: " I would like to defer the question of spending government money on new tasers to my distinguished opponent, who I understand, has first hand knowledge of the device." Donte: "Don't make me beat you, hell no I ain't leaving, get your hands off of meeeeeeeee.......zzzzzzzzz.

Does the move to the 3-4
Russ 'Em replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3-4 defenseive ends go out in pass coverage? In what league? I guess if you consider a zone blitz pass coverage, but then you could have your NT in "coverage". Kyle Williams is our best defensive lineman and they will find a spot where he can contribute. -
If your talking about parrots then you have no idea what your talking about, because parrots don't read they watch. They also are not native to Caribbean islands. I DVRd every bills game this year and watched the offense in slow motion to see what the fn problem was with our anemic o. Yeah the guards didn't play like pro bowlers every game. They were rookies playing next to rookies. When they did have starters next to them they excelled. Go replay the Monday night game when Eric Wood manhandled vince wilfork for most of the game. How about how they knocked Chris Jenkins out for half the season because he couldn't handle our interior. The problem came from the outside. Over and over again. How can you fairly assess these players when they play next to someone new every week? You suggest we just throw our 1st round pick from last year overboard in favor of another rookie "project"? That Demetrius Bell taste is out of your mouth then I assume.

Does the 3-4 change who we draft?
Russ 'Em replied to HooperBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah in my opinion WR isn't 1 of our stronger needs. We have 2 or 3 guys who we have seen very little of. We could find a WR deep in the draft who could potentially come in and give us some more depth, but we desperatly need d lineman now. I wouldn't be suprised to see a trade involving a DE or 2 on this team for a DL or WR that could be a stop gap until next year. Its all about the LT and the D line in the draft. -
Sam Bradford on the Dan Patrick Show
Russ 'Em replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ask Michael Oher and Jake Long how long it took them to catch up to NFLs pass rushers. The only LTs that take years to develop are those who started out as TEs. -
James Hardy and Shawn Nelson
Russ 'Em replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well that must be the reason he doesn't compete for balls in the air. He's been following TO's lead. The thing that I think is the number 2 most important aspect that a receiver can have, right after running good routes, is going and getting the ball. If that fade wasn't thrown perfectly he wouldn't even have a TD. All I remember from the few times he made the field, was that he didn't use his height effectively, and he didn't go and get the ball. I would rather see Stevie J in that position everytime. He fights for the ball, runs good routes, and finds the softspots in the zone. Shawn Nelson started a couple games for us this year. He got plenty of playing time and contributed on the field as a rookie. He had a few injuries and suffered from debilitating migraine headaches during the season. By no means did they overlook him, he was 1 of only 2 healthy TE's on the roster at 1 point. -
If Clausen and McClain are both gone in the first, which I don't believe they will be then it is between Williams and Buluaga. 2nd round will be Pierre-Paul or Alulua 3rd round would not be surprised to see them take LeFevour or Snead though we need a solid LB 4th round and I'm not positive but Selvie out of USF.

FYI We don't need any more guards.

Most Important Postitions of Need For the Bills
Russ 'Em replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it all depends on weather we switch to a 3-4 defense. If that is the case then we need a big freak of nature, run stuffing, double team taking, nose tackle. -
And I'm sure they will. I have to assume that Ol' Buddy has a plan and he won't pass up blatant opportunities to make the team better. He did work under some of the best football minds in San Diego. I don't think that Mike Vick is what they are looking for, but if he ends up being the best option, I can see a scenario where they bring him in. This is supposedly, one of Chans strong points, working with the pieces he has and crafting an offense that moves the ball AND scores points. DickJ just creamed in his pants.

If this is true then I would pull the remainder of my hair out if we signed him. All I can see is JP bouncing one off the turf on a throw to the flat.

Cortez as QB coach, possibility of Garcia as QB?
Russ 'Em replied to Red's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same GB team who had Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and a Division I powerhouse program's qb, John David Booty ahead of him. He needs more then 3 days in an offense to make a decision on him. Yeah there were some issues when he came out of the draft (thought he deserved a starting job) which can be hard to shake when your with the same team. I don't mind a leader who thinks he belongs, he just needs to prove it. -
ESPN Truth and Rumors: Buffalo and Vick
Russ 'Em replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you honestly believe Mike Vick actually was hands on in killing dogs? If so you don't understand the NFL lifestyle. Vick never even had to come in contact with a dog. He had people for that. The disconnect was so, that if he or most any other NFLer wanted something illegal done, that he would just have one of his cronies do it for him. Mike Vick never electrocuted or drowned dogs. It happened on property he owned, and yes with his knowledge. There is no getting around that he broke the law and that he may have knew that this kind of thing was going on, but to put him at the pinnacle of the physical abuse is absurd. I'm sure Jarred Allen has cut the heads off of a chicken or two in his day. Get a grip. And for the record, no to Vick, because of football. -
ESPN Truth and Rumors: Buffalo and Vick
Russ 'Em replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who's jersey do they wear now, because they are already there. Is it an old McGahee jersey because we don't like him. Or is it a Lynch Jersey because he fits the bill. These idiots are going to be there weather or not we sign Vick. This opinion is ridiculous. When we signed Anthony Hargrove did drunken idiots storm the Ralph? yeah they did, they were Lee Evans fans. -

The only thing it made me think about was why the poster didn't realize that there was a spell check. If you want to make a point, and do it via the written English language, REVIEW the ****ty posts you make. -
Leslie Frazier could have been a good coach
Russ 'Em replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you were hoping to get a rookie HC so you could cut him some slack when he loses? Give me a break. And please anyone on this board, who agrees with the premise that we RUSHED to get a HC raise your hands now. Anyone, Anyone, Bueller. Leslie Frazier might have been a good HC but we wont get to find out until he takes the Raiders job next year. Anyone who interviews for the Seattle job knowing full well they already had there man and that he was just the token interview for the NFLs Rooney rule is a joke in my book. Get some nutz. Gailey has the skills we are looking for and until he proves that all the previous success he has had was all just a fluke, lets talk about the draft or uniforms for christ sake. And for all those people who think we could have had Frazier and Gailey, are you serious? No one would have come here if they were going to be told who there OC or DC was going to be. The Bills gave out pink slips. Our ace Special teams coach is gone. Use your f'n heads people. -
The Bills Oline- will it be better in 2010
Russ 'Em replied to ....lybob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we can't come up with a good o line after the 42 free agents we brought in during the season and a top 10 draft pick then we need to pack it in.
