My vote goes to Bart Scott for believing in his head he's a premiere player on the level or Ray Lewis or Urlacher -

If We Win Two More Games in a Row...
Stealth replied to BringBackFlutie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah that would be the last time Wade has a career record of 82-61, In Buffalo Phillips was 29-19 11-6 10-6 8-8 -
Mostly due to Fred Jackson perhaps, but I've been of the belief that a rb doesn't have to put up some mythical stats for perceived draft slotting. If Gailey can get out of Spiller say what Darren Sproles has done over his career in SD and now New Orleans than he is worth the pick, even if he's not a 1400 yard 400+ yard rush/rec back. Fred Jackson as of now affords us this opportunity to not put a square peg into a round hole. Get Spiller out in routes, off tackle runs and sweeps to get the man out in space. Let him return punts. He can be a valuable asset for this team and in 2 of the first 3 games esp the oak game proved as much

Def not too soon. It's just a matter of time. Early reports indicate that after Fitz retires in another 8-10 years an entire "Fitzmagic" Wing will be built at The Hall that will have a movie theatre which will show every comeback from Harvard-pro career.

What's the Difference between 2008 and 2011?
Stealth replied to Sniper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2008- After 3 games The Bills had scored 78 points. During this season The Bills only scored 30 pts 4 times 2011- The Bills have scored 113 pts 113 The Bills have scored 30+ points in the first 3 games. Someone brought up that the Bills in 08 had a combined season total passing td of 13. Correction it's 14. Moorman had 1 on a fake fg I believe against Seattle week 1. Anyone wanna even begin to wager that Fitz won't smoke this #? lol 2008- Through the first 3 games The Bills had 297 yards rushing finished the year with 1842 2011- Through 3 games The Bills have 459 yards rushing which puts us on pace for 2448 yards for the season Anyone even wanna argue the merits that Fred Jackson is better than Marshawn Lynch? Say what you want about questioning the oline I get fitz's quick decision making, but they've been money run blocking for Fred so far through the first 3 games, and Fred is averaging a very ridiculous 6.4ypc tied with Darren McFadden. 2008- Through the first 3 games the Bills had Edwards had 704 yards passing 3 tds 1 int. It took him till week 12 to equal where Fitz is at now td wise. Finished the year with 3040 yards passing. 2011- Through the first 3 games 841 yards 9 tds 3 ints. I remember ppl being high on Edwards during this time, although there was still a vocal group who questioned him. I myself did Believe in Edwards, which I find disappointing. A simple face value # look could tell you that he just was nothing more than a care taker. Am I saying Fitz is the next Kurt Warner? No of course not, but too "not be sure" he's not a country mile better than Trent Edwards is laughable. Offensively speaking this 2011 team is light years beyond the 2008 team at every single position including the most important Quarterback. The Coach is better, the rb is better, wr's are better, we actually have a redzone offense. Overall efficiency is better. There's nothing that says "this team is destined to falter like in 08" on that side of the Ball. As far as the defense goes I'm not gonna break down the #'s right now but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being. I agree with the people who "Want to wait it out" and The Bills may level off, but there's a lot more positive things working in their favor this year than 3 seasons ago. -
As someone who lives in NJ and watched a lot of Jet's games take it from me. Brad Smith's value won't be measured in statistics, but over the course of the season as was shown in 2 of the first 3 games he will be very useful in 3rd and short situations. With the kicking game rule changes maybe not as effective, and what I believe to be the most important. Brad Smith may not be a huge "impact player" for us, but the Jet's will sure as hell miss him.

When did you feel the best yesterday?
Stealth replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I felt best after the kick went up. I guess it comes from being burned in a lot of Pats/Bills games where "we came close" but couldn't close the deal. The whole 2nd half had a great feel to it. I was in damn near tears when the clock was at all zero's. Even when I woke up today I still wasn't quite sure if I believed that we finally got over the hump of beating NE. I know a lot of older Bills fans always talk about the 0 for 70's against the fins. This was "our Miami" There was not a team in the NFL I wanted to see The Bills beat more than NE. Now hopefully they can build off it and we can witness the beginning of something special this season -

The Predictable Nay-Sayers...
Stealth replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, and I'm not gonna sit here and say "The Bills are gonna win the superbowl" or even utter the P word. It's great that we're 3-0 a lot of stuff to work on no doubt. It still feels damn good to finally get a legit win on NE though -

and if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle. What if's in football don't count. Like Parcells used to say. You are what your record says you are. I'd also venture to say KC is not as bad as the NFC West teams. Possibly Miami or the Colts without Peyton -
When did we really start getting better ??
Stealth replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By getting real leaders and developing players to buy into a system. Team above individuals. Players who are hungry and share the same vision and goal of bringing winning football To Buffalo. So Yes When Buddy Nix was hired, and I'll throw in Doug Whaley as well -
WTF cares what Boomer says. This Bills team has heart. And after 15 miserably excruciating losses and going into every NE game "knowing we were gonna lose" We BROKE THE DAMN STREAK. We're 3-0 and as of week 3 The AFC EAST RUNS THROUGH WESTERN NY!!!!

I ran up and down my block and stopped at the corner by my neighbors who have a patriots flag and did the lights out dance and chanted 3 and 0 than back to my house....I live in NJ lol

I'm unsure about Houston. Detroit I think is pretty legit so long as Stafford stays healthy. The big question with The Lions is also being a very tough division with the bears/packers Do they have the depth to make a run? I believe so.
-
Umm both... Esp seeing how in order to make the playoffs you usually have to win your division games. To be honest though I don't wanna just see this team "make the playoffs" I wanna see them build into a yearly contender so we can enjoy a few good seasons of bills/jets bills/pats afc east rivalries. Yes I want to see Them in the playoffs, but again to do that beat your divisional opponents. As long as Brady/Belichick are around The Pats are the measuring stick of which the Bills have repeatedly fallen short of.

The biggest things is to not go in expecting to lose to NE like the Bills of the past decade have done on a consistent basis. Man the hell up and leave everything they have on the field. More so than a win, the biggest thing I'd like to see is that they're "not afraid" of NE. Something I haven't seen from past Bills teams. That and yeah obviously limiting turnovers and ball possession will be key

BILLS entrance song this Sunday!

We've got no time to lose Your news is old news Hate this, hate me, hate this Right approach for the wrong It's time to spread the word Let the voice be heard All of us, one of us, all of us Dominate and take the mother!@#$ing world http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPHy9dFwmcY&feature=related -
This. If people wanna discuss an elite level type wr who was hampered by inconsistent QB play it's Eric Moulds. Lee Evans is a poor mans Terry Glenn. Eric Moulds had hof talent and garbage qb's. It's not that Evans was bad, but the Lee Evans myth that he takes all this pressure off other receivers, rb's,qb's etc etc is just head scratching. On the list of former Bills wr's I'd put him on a level of Peerless Price

Bills have a better chance of beating the Pats on Sunday
Stealth replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That all relates to how the Bills finished those seasons in general. If the Bills were a contending team the scores of those games would reflect it. Its a very discouraging stat, but again that's the difference between a winning and a losing franchise. Like Lovie Smith said when he took over the Bears. The objective is to beat Green Bay. Well In order for the Bills to be a contender in the AFC, Let alone the AFC EAST. They have to beat The NE Patriots. -
I didn't realize Evans has been "in" for Baltimore this year either.
