So what do people think of Alex Smith?
Stealth replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the 49er's finally have the coaching to maximize the talent of their highly drafted roster, and finally got them to play near their athletic talent level. -
If true that is a bargain for a 25 year old wr, who will probably post back 2 back 1000 yard seasons and 16 tds in that span.

Brandon Jacobs: my favorite non-Bill
Stealth replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most Giants fans would be happy to give you Jacobs. He's maddeningly inconsistent. due to his size is a very poor short yardage back, he can't get the low pad level needed to be good in that area. When he gets a head of steam yeah is scary tough to bring down, and is a better receiving back than you would think, but Bradshaw is a much better all around back -
wouldn't shock me in the slightest. The Bills don't need to draft a wr or rb. They probably won't re-sign Steve Johnson and draft a wr. Next year when we don't extend Fred Jackson we'll draft a rb. Than sit around and still wonder why our pass rush sucks

One day we may have an organization top to bottom that commits to putting together a consistently competitive team yearly. That isn't today....and next year ain't looking so good either. The "small market" excuse is beat. The Steelers/Packers have no problem doing this, because they have a commitment to winning. The Bills don't. It's not cause "the weather is bad, the economy sucks" or whatever tired excuse people wanna use. The Bills as an organization just do not seem overly concerned about putting together a team that can win. Just the bare minimum that "if healthy" can go 8-8 9-7 ish. As fans we're forced to accept it, cause there's really nothing we can do to change this philosophy. We've had more than a handful of above average players who've we let walk right out the door onto other teams. Players that were good enough to win with. Just "not good enough for Buffalo" smh Hope for the best but realistically expect the worst. It should be great next year when we avoid real issues draft a wr in the 1st rd to replace Steve Johnson and go "well in 2-3 years he'll be elite" as other pieces of the team continue to fall apart. The Bills conduct player personnel like they're nothing more than a minor league market for other teams. It's irritating to say the least

Only 1 good wr, a backup rb no te worth a damn. Can't stop the run, can't defend the pass, can't rush the passer. Can't do anything on defense -
heh all this tells me is it goes to show that people should just stfu and be patient and not expect "immediate results"

Yeah like tackling

2011-12 Tennessee 11 83.1 225 371 60.6 2517 228.8 6.8 15 10 - Matt Hasselbeck 2011-12 Philadelphia 5 60.8 66 114 57.9 866 173.2 7.6 4 9 - Vince Young Titans fans are morons even in Vince Young's best year as a Titan he never threw for 15 tds in a season let alone in 11 games. Infact Vince Young has never even played 16 games in a season. The guy sucks

Yeah no worries Donald Jones can be one of our top wr's again next year lol.

Not to keep beating the Tight End drum, but Jimmy Graham just the next in line that shows how important a fast te who can split the seems really is to having a consistently productive offense -
Sometimes it just really seems people would be ok going into a season with Donald Jones Kamaar Aiken and naaman roosevelt as our top 3 wrs

Good Thing out of the loss

mckelvin did on the fumble recovery when the jets player fell into his ribs that drew no flag -
Just the pulse of the fans who post on these boards. Every time we have a good player "fans" look to cut him down. Than latch onto some nobody scrub because they "hit a 40 year old quarterback" or were "really good in preseason". Like Heels said let Johnson go and watch 29 other teams try to sign the guy. I'm sure it'll be a blast watching Donald Jones run really fast down the field and never catch anything. There are a lot of reasons we lost this game. Was Johnson's mocking of Burress low brow? Yeah it was, but it showed a dislike for a division rival. Raynor's botched kickoff was far more damaging. As was searcy's lapse in coverage. Letting the Jets go 82 yards to even take the lead.... I mean christ hold them to a fg get it to ot. Not with this defense and george edwards as the dc. Instead we leave santonio holmes wide open in the back of the endzone. Again there are plenty of reason's we lost....not just 1

steve johnson is a good player only makes sense bills fans would want to run him out of town. We've gotten used to seeing not so good players

actually what cost us 7 was dave rayner's retarded kick. than searcy being a rookie and not going with burress on the post route -
the most important position that needs an upgrade

But Arhur Moats hit Favre last year....you mean he's not a good player? Chris Kelsay has averaged 2 sacks a year (when not playing with a above avaerage pass rusher opposite him) currently on pace...for yup you guessed it 2 sacks. Danny Batten...diet Chris Kelsay. Andra Davis- Old and slow Shep- a rookie. Mcgee- Old and injury prone...Williams= rookie Mckelvin- Bust Florence- decent at times but slow. Reggie Corner= Awful. Our safeties are alright. Our dline has 2 corner stones for the future in Williams and Dareus the rest of the dline leaves a lot to be desired. Offensively. We have practice squad fodder at wr and Steve Johnson. Now half of them are hurt... and people are surprised our offense isn't producing? ha. A good redzone threat at te but a guy who can't really work the rest of the field. Good starting rb, about to find out about Spiller. It's really no surprise why this team has nosedived.
