Sometimes people in their rush to blame other factors fail to realize that sometimes depression is a real illness. It manifests in different ways for different reasons. Jr Seau seemed like a man who had no idea how to live without playing football. It's why he held on so long when he should've just retired. He didn't know how to live in the "real world". I know this is a really short sighted version of what may have gone through his head, but yeah sometimes feeling sad, lonely, miserable and uncertain leads people to wanting out.

Personally I think Aaron Williams should be playing safety not corner. One of the knocks on him as a corner coming out of Texas was that he wasn't all that fluid with his hip movement but when he can keep the play in front of him he can cover a good area of the field.

I say Kelsay gets 2.5 sacks right around his career average per season.

Curtis Martin is a hall of fame player. 8th all time in yards from scrimmage. 4th in rushing yards. 11th in rushing yards per game. 19th in rush/rec td.s 12th all time in career rushing tds. Was he the flashiest guy of course not, but the guy was a workhorse and as good of an all around back that's come into the game.

as a backup if hes healthy sure I still don't understand the love affair with the guy though. He was awful when he was here. Consistenly behind in coverage and slow to react, and the only reason he ever started with the ravens is cause Dawan Landry was hurt. He wasn't all that good with the Jets either. Not bad for a depth player. As a special teams player for the Bills he's kind of useless. He's not gonna be a punt returner here. He's a ok tackler in the run game when he keeps the play infront of him. In coverage a liability.

Simple Brad Smith with the Jets (pre kickoff rule changes) was one of the best kick returners in the league. A dynamic special teams player. Some of that was probably jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff, some of it was Brad Smith. Smith was also a huge part of the Jets rushing offense accounting for key yardage at crucial times in games. They did lose a big weapon. They also happened to replace him in house with Joe McKnight.

Disagree fully with this. I think ideally Alex Carrington brings a lot of the same attributes to the Bills that Chris Canty brings to the Giants. Can be a swing dt/De. Now mind you I say ideally. Would say right now Dwan Edwards would fit the useless role (at least in the 4-3 defense)

Joe McKnight is the name you can't remember. Looks like he could be a good 3rd down back moving forward. Very good special teams player as well. I'm gonna disagree. The Jets running game under Rex Ryan has sucked since they let Thomas Jones walk. Jones is at the end of his career now as well, but on Chicago and on the Jets and for a short time in KC was a monster

Well considering Michael Bush is no longer with the Raiders.... I'd take them out. Jacobs is very hit or miss. He's good when his head is in the game. Horrible short yardage back. Jackson is better, and Spiller has a much higher ceiling. The Eagles?!? Uhh I guess you're counting Mike Vick, cause Ronnie Brown hasn't been a good rb for years lol. New Orleans Def has a case. As far as the chiefs go Thomas Jones is done as a productive rb, a few years ago he was awesome his better days are def behind him. The Cowboys remain to be seem the potential is there. The only legit argument out of these listed seems to be New Orleans. As far as Stewart/Williams go neither one of them have hit 1000 yards in over 3 years. They're living off their 09 performance, and while Williams is a big play threat, neither one of them are all that capable as every down backs

Yes because white people don't and have never lived in the "hood" what makes me cringe is defining hood as a "Race culture" when the hood or otherwise known as the ghetto has less to do with race, and much more to do financial constraints. It doesn't bother me if said white people grew up in or around ghetto's it bothers me when they're from suburbia/upper middle class that's when it's "cringe worthy"

How to beat Miami 1- Hope that Andy Levitre is not playing center ever again in his NFL career. Horrible would be an understatement. It was bad enough at points last season he was playing LT. At the very least he managed to be adequate. Playing Center he was overmatched and could not snap the ball if his life depended on it. 2. Get a running game. I believe this first miami bills game Fred Jackson was already kinda hurting. It's not even a debate. The Bills offense is at it's best when Fred Jackson is healthy. He's the catalyst. The Bills will go only as far as their run game allows them too. With a productive run game whether it's from Jackson or Spiller or both. It opens up the offense. and doesn't put all the pressure on fitz when other teams know we have to pass. 3. Stop their run game. Granted in the first game Miami didnt need a run game to beat us. Their defense + Buffalos offensive mistakes, and inadequacies where the reason we lost, but the 2nd game the defense got owned by Reggie Bush. Containment. All teams are gonna get some type of yards, just dont let them routinely break off the big play. Also never Let Andy Levitre play center...EVER!! How to beat the Jets 1. short passing game. A healthy dose of SJ13. Don't be afraid to test Revis Island. SJ has his number, so keep him involved in the offense, it will soften things up to allow the run game to be productive 2. The Jets don't have a great pass rush, but they're creative in their blitz schemes. It makes qb's nervous and it forces mistakes. Keep things simple, throw in a few slants and crossing patterns to confuse them. 3. Spread out their d. The jets play that 3-4. Best way to beat em keep their lb's off the field. It'll open up the running lanes. 4. Get FJ and Spiller involved as receivers out of the backfield. We probably won't get much in the way of a traditional run game vs the jets, but screens and getting them out in space can be effective. 5. Make sure Rian Lindell is healthy. I'm pretty sure a healthy Rian Lindell wouldn't shank a kickoff after we score a td, even if we do get a 15 yard penalty for "Excessive celebrating" 6. Mark Sanchez is going to make mistakes. I'm not gonna even say "pressure him" Simply make Sanchez work for everything. Make him make quick decisions, and have to drive the length of the field. He'll turn it over his fair share of times. 7. The Jets run game at this point is just an afterthought. It might be better under Sparano, but Shonne Green is not a good rb. They'll put in their attempts, but it's still not scary good, like it was when they had Thomas Jones.

ehh actually Schobel consistently owned him. I believe no pass rusher had more sacks against Brady than Schobel. Other than that we really haven't had a pass rush for a decade.

1. Joe Burns 2. JP Losman 3. Jim Leonhard (Yeah I know everyone loves little Jimmy. Sorry I saw a guy who was consistently overmatched, horrible in run support, and not much better in coverage. During his time in Buffalo was our worst safety by a mile. Yet the Legend of Jim Leonhard died hard amongst fans touting him to be something more than what he was. I'll never forget Rich Gannon commentating during a Bills/Jags game. The Jags had just scored on a long pass play and Gannon said "Leonhard has no place on a football field this was the worst attempt at coverage I may have ever seen." I'm gonna take Joe Burns off this list since he wasnt a starter. I just never understood how he kept making the roster. I'll replace him with Jeff Posey

I'm not saying the league shouldn't do what it can to protect injuries, but it's a risk you take when you play the game. It takes away a big part of the game, that fan's enjoy, also can swing game momentum. To make that aspect almost negligible hurts the game itself Again it's a good thing players are protected, and it might not seem like much to average joe, but too much more of these rule changes in the interest of "player safety" will run the risk of reducing fans by 50% or more. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I watch football to see big hits. I'm not saying "bounty" like dirty intent to injure hits, but I watch football because of the physical aspect of the game. The kickoff rule, changes some of that. As does the "defenseless receiver" and the rules about protecting quarterbacks and such.

I wouldn't put Joe Flacco among "the best qb's" in the NFL, but I'd also say he isn't nearly as bad as a lot of people make him out to be. He's been to the afcc twice in the last 4 years. Only not making the sb this year because of a Lee Evans drop. Best qb in the NFL? Obv not...Pretty good? Yeah
