  1. yeah the jags are shutting down our running game
  2. Did Spiller sleep with a female relative of Chan Gailey or something? Why does he hate him so much?
  3. I was gonna say Id like him as a dc to replace stache. Then I realized during the 2nd half of USC's schedule this year against some spread heavy teams they gave up over 35 points per game. We're in a division with NE no thanks
  4. We'll miss his return skills when he leaves in free agency
  5. 1. Get rid of the hit on defenseless receiver rule- The NFL is becoming to much like arena football. A lot of these calls are so borderline anyway. 2. Move the kickoff back to the 30 3. Allow tackles on qbs below the knees. Defensive linemen lbs and bltizing players are very limited as to where they can tackle a quarterback. I enjoy defense. Linemen on occasion are going to be low coming in on a qb. Let it slide.
  6. It's not like Smith was completing only 70% of his passes at 8 yards a clip with 13 tds and only 5 picks or anything like that.... Oh wait. The one thing Smith was pretty bad is he has a high sack rate once every 9 passes. For comparison Sake Ryan Fitzpatrick gets sacked once every 18 pass attempts. From that perspective I understand Harbaugh wanting to find someone whos going to be a bit more of a game changer than a game manager. The only thing thats questionable is the timing
  7. Other then Buffalo with JP Losman and Miami with Joey Harrington he hasn't really failed "everywhere" He was pretty good in Pitt, Good in Atlanta and now that Gabbert is riding the bench where he should be has Chad Henne playing well. The verdict is still out on jacksonville
  8. That awkward moment when someone still defends JP Losman. I'm not saying Mularkey was some amazing coach but he's the best coach we've had this decade and because of the incompetence of the Bills ownership and front office we went backwards instead of progressing
  9. Mularkey wasn't terrible. He got saddled with JP Losman who was a coach killer. Had we kept Bledsoe for another year we wouldn't have gone 5-11 in 2005, and maybe we got a real qb along the way. His defense fell apart. Sam Adams regressed dramatically, Takeo Spikes tore his achillies which affected. Fletcher and Crowell started receiving more attention. Eric Moulds had issues with Losman. Teams just basically keyed on Mcgahee. We'd probably be a better team today if Ralph didn't intervene and bring in his buddy Marv and Mularkey had more time and better resources to right the ship. Short of his kids being harassed which if that's the case I don't blame him for walking away, but professionally he had every right
  10. Ahead of Jackson yes easily. As for Spiller. Only 2 players have more yards from scrimmage then Spiller since week 11 of last year. Ray Rice and Calvin Johnson. Personally I would take Peterson/Foster/Rice over Spiller. Mccoy is a tossup. I'd take Spiller over the rest.
  11. Why am I not surprised most that list consists of baseball teams? Why am I not surprised all the teams listed consist of teams who have not won anything in a decade with the exception of the Pistons? Why am I not surprised a list of declining sports teams come from sports where only the same 3-5 teams are good yearly? It has nothing to do with the economy or ticket prices. It has to do with with if you live in certain areas and your pro baseball/basketball team can't compete on an even playing field with the big boys the new era of fans will simply realize this and get tired of attending games as they get older. As far as the Dolphins go. A fair weather markets drastic decline in fans coincides with when Dan Marino retired having 6 new head coaches in 10 years. Makes sense there's other things to do in Miami
  12. Well if I had a kid and I was paying hundreds of dollars per individual visit or thousands for a sheet over a 16 week period of which I only got to see my son/daughter 8 times at home and if I didn't approve of what they did I'd probably yelll at them too. Really this is the analogy we're using? lol
  13. Mularkey was almost forced out cause Ralph got rid of Donahoe and brought in his old buddy Marv for an epic fail as a gm which set us back even further. Mularkey was by no means perfect, but we where headed in the right direction till he walked away from this mess, and really who could blame him?
  14. I don't see what's so wrong about that. You pay for tickets if your team that you support day to day week after week year after year upon years sucks and I go to a game where the suck continues. I'll voice my opinion. That's my right as a consumer of the product
  15. This. Landry Jones= Matt Schaub. Similar skill set, physical abilities. A bit more polished than Schaub was coming out of college though
  16. man stache is really insistent on strictly relying on his front 4
  17. Donald Jones would be a very good wr if he could stay healthy and catch the football
  18. Happy bday Ryan Fitzpatrick. Let's get the damn thing done today and really get in the race
  19. I fully get what OP was saying. It just came off like "why are we talking about football" so whether predictable post comments or not it doesn't leave much room for anything else other than that. I don't disagree with the stance we should wait before seriously considering The Bills playoff possibilities. However our schedule is favorable and if we beat Indy we're a half game back. Imho leaves plenty of room for legit conversation. As far as getting to .500 though I do think that is what will have to happen before being taken seriously overall though.
  20. So basically cease and desist all football conversations and come back in 2 weeks? got ya
  21. The term superfan used to describe that tool is insulting to real fans of any team. Ed is a dolphins fan turned Jets fan who became a gimmick. Screw him
  22. Is it impossible...considering who we play the rest of the season- not at all. Is it likely?- considering the problems we've had all season probably not. I'm taking this one game at a time. If we beat the Colts our schedule gets easier week by week. Just get to .500 and the ball is in our court. I'm not saying I "Billieve" but there's still hope
  23. Eliminate hits on quarterbacks. Make them wear red jerseys and have defenders count to 5 mississipi before they can blitz. Infact make NFL defenseman tie their hands behind their back eliminating tackling. Eliminate punts, kickoffs, 3rd and shorts...I mean just give teams 1st downs. Eliminate fumbles people get hurt in those pile ups. Did I miss anything? The NFL is turning into a very boring game due to some ridiculous rule changes as is.
  24. Until we're officially out of the race have to hope the teams infront of us lose. With that said Down with the Jets
  25. If only they where the focal point of the offense instead of mediocre qb throwing to a mediocre group of receivers
