so wait, we slow down in the 4th quarter of tight games due to conditioning? u mean the players dont get pumped with adrenaline and all hyped up with the game on the line? Against a team that runs runs runs on us all day, and have big time of posession advatages, okay, it is a factor late in games that the bills tire. But ultimately, its not THAT big a factor. we didnt tire prefusely in all our losses, causing us to lose. I mean, the other teams wern't tired? cmon We lost games bc we were out coached, and when we got behind and had to throw, our line couldnt block. And we wernt as talented. After that, u can start nitpicking.

I agree. Since we dont have a true #2 WR, spread sets will help find mismatches. And any type of running is good for our offense

DJ GOOD Jauron Always had players playing hard for him, and backing him up, a players coach. Jauron Did put together a quality secondary The team was never terrible, even with tons of injuries, always competed Did find some servicable players with late draft picks DJ BAD Jauron tried to instill a no huddle offense Jauron cut his starting/experienced LT right before the season Jauron fired offensive coordinator right before the season Jauron had 3 offensive coordinators in three years Jauron put his faith, as we did, in a 3rd round QB, who wasnt highly regarded by most experts Jauron ran a too conservative offense Jauron ran a simple defense based around speed Jauron drafted a RB with character issues, which came back to bite him Jauron had way too many team injuries. Hey, they happen a lot in the NFL. But not this much. Something was obviously being done wrong. Ultimately, he calls the shots, these were all the things he did wrong and right. The TO signing was not a bad gamble, but wasnt good either. But this list is history. He was the man who had to go, he made the decisions. But day by day, the Gailey list fluxuates... Gailey GOOD instill 3-4 defense Gailey BAD a running back with the #9 pick is questionable, for now

Nobody Talks About Fitz in this race, why not?
JustMaxx replied to JustMaxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz had better control of the team. TO responded better to him. The team as a whole faired better because Fitz was respected, tough, and smart. Does he win in the natural born talent evaluation? No. But does he make the right reads and lead the team? Yes He may give us our best chance to win next year. Does anyone out there think starting trent or brohm give us a better chance to win? Trent gets hurt, doesnt throw downfield, and lost his job last year. Brohm has less experience at QB then my dog. -
Nobody Talks About Fitz in this race, why not?
JustMaxx replied to JustMaxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everybody keeps saying Fitz is a career backup at best, when trent only got the job bc losman sucked, then lost the job bc he himself sucked and got hurt. Not to mention Brohm has only been above a practice squad player due to injury. So how is Fitz any different from those three? Do I agree Brohm and Trent have more upside bc of their skills? yes. Does that mean they are the right guy for the job? No, they have proven nothing. This race is a total toss up, i just want to make sure that fans realize Fitz has as good a shot as anyone. -
Fitz may be the least gifted QB in this pecking order physically, and his throws are not very accurate, but we played more competitive with him at the helm last year. He seems to be most respected among the group by his teammates, and may be the best leader. TO favored him much more than Trent, calling him a "veteran who has been around the league". TO may be washed up and egotistical, but he knows what winning takes, and he favored Fitz. Watching games, it looked like Fitz knew where to go with the football and read defenses better than Trent. His throws wern't on the money too often, but he went downfield and took chances, not to mention hes not injury prone. They may have said brohm had a good OTA, and trent looks like "the most talented", but fitz is smart and tough, and Fewell went down the stretch with him last year when he was trying to win games, not Trent, and it wasn't even a discussion. At this point, unless Gailey really sees potential in Brohm as a good QB and wants to develop him, I think its 40-40-20 in the Trent/Fitz/Brohm race.

why is CJ any better than reggie bush?
JustMaxx replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this season its gonna seem like hes just a reggie bush, because he wont get the carries with fredddy and marshawn still here. But a heavy workoad could prove him to be a chris johnson. All we know is we have a home run hitter now. (lee is one too, but the line has to hold the rush for 5 seconds and our QB has to make the right read, so, hes a questionable one at best) -
per Tim Graham article on ESPN. However, Graham got the info from Bills Daily http://www.buffalosportsdaily.com/2010/05/...hard-park-home/ didnt see it posted. If this is indeed true, our defense just got weaker. Even if your a schobel hater. This hurts

So cowher, shanny, and every big name guy turned it down. U want leslie frazier, an unkown, or a guy whose 18-14 in two head coaching seasons with two playoff appearances, with multiple winning seasons at the college level. So who do u want at GM? Polian? a big name guy? He can't coming here. We made lemonade from lemons with this staff. lets just see if they can get it done

Wang has a chance to see more time than any of our rookies. There, i said it. 5th round pick or not, his competition is Demetrious Bell Spillers has Freddy/Marshawn to compete with Troup wont be any every down guy Carrington is depth/future Easley has a good shot too, considering his top competition is Johnson Lets face it, Spiller will be exciting, Troup and Carrington will be solid...but Wang right now can have the biggest impact if he wins the job.

Bills - Ravens agree on deal for Gaither?
JustMaxx replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Umm, Gaither, by all measurables, is BETTER than Peters. And to be quite honest, if u want to find the perfect player, with no bad attitude, not wanting a huge deal, not wanting to be traded...your following the wrong sport, bc the chances are highly unlikely to find that perfect player at each spot. Gaither for a 2nd rounder makes a lot of sense, proven top end talent and solidifies our Oline. its our biggest need, and if the QB's dont work out this yr, u draft one in the first round next yr cuz the pool is deep. -
Excellent ESPN Article on Ed Wang
JustMaxx replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hes gonna be our starting LT, im almost willing to bet it. 1)Scouts think hes perfect for zone blocking 2) Vtech is no slouch school, prob more polished than bell 3) great pass protector Plus, his competition is bell and meredith, need a say more? -
More news on left tackles
JustMaxx replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally, I think Wang will win the job. They said he fits the zone blocking scheme perfectly, and came from a higher level school then bell so he may need much less work. Plus hes chans guy. -
On one hand, the line was bad/injured, hard to go downfield On the other hand, you had Evans and TO On one hand, edwards has more INT's than TD's, been injured 5 times, and has been benched. On the other hand, he was coached by jauron, and hes done better than many prominent QB's as compared to their early years. On one hand, weve seen enough of him, give brohm a shot. On the other hand, hes our most talented/experienced QB at this point. IM GONNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GO CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Brohm being a rookie minicap gives him the slightest of slightest edges. its not like their going to be going over anything monumental. Just simply the basics. Its not like at manditory camp he will get most of the reps because he was at rookie camp. he will still be third in line. Smart move by brohm, or by chan if he asked him to be there, but its not really a big deal.

I believe in the COACHING. -Chan Gailey as a Head Coach at Dallas and at GTech has been incredibly successful. Two playoff teams in the pro's and many winning seasons at Gtech. I have to believe our coaching has been UPGRADED! Jauron had one winning season in what, 8 years? and he also disrupted the offense every year in Buffalo by firing OC's, and making bad personell moves with the O-line. The personel moves may not directly be his fault, but it leads me to... I believe in the FRONT OFFICE -we have a pecking order now in the front office. Our GM has been a scout for a long time, and has been apart of building a winner at San Diego. Marv Levy was a great coach, but great coaches don't make great GM's all the time, as we now know. I believe in our STARTING QB -Trent is in his 4th yr, and unfortunately his 4th OC. This will be the best coaching he's ever had. He has the ability, he has the smarts, hes our most talented QB, this is his chance. If trent proves he is not capable, we have a guy who can hold the fort down (Fitz), and if our new coach believes Brohm or Brown are ready and hands them the job over Trent or Fitz, then I will believe to, Gailey deserves the benefit of the doubt with his winning track record. I believe in our GROWING TALENT -Maybin, Spiller, Byrd, Levitre, Wood, Poz, Troup, Mckelvin, Nelson, add in proven guys like Jackson, Lynch, Evans, Wilson, McGee, Davis, Edwards, Whitner, Florence, Scott, Mitchell, & Green, these are players you can WIN with!!! We do have places that need some attention, like LT, and the Dline, and if our QB's cant do it, throw in QB, but theres talent here. Jauron got 7 wins a season, and he was a terrible coach!!! i believe in the DESTRUCTION OF OUR RIVALS -The Pats, its only a matter of time before they slide. Year by year they keep getting closer to the end of their run. The Jets have gotten better, but how far really can dirty sanchez take them? and the fins had a terrible draft, and have some major holes on their team (secondary, Dline, young unproven QB). Who knows with them. We have the talent and the coaching to succeed in this division. I dont know when the winning will start, if trent and our Oline hold up & play capable, i can see 10-6 or 9-7 this year. If they don't, it may be 2-3 years to find the right guys. You gotta remember Chan will hit teams with things they havent seen this year, we have the element of suprise on our side, just like the fins had when they hired Sparano and went 11-5. This year depends on how our Qb's play. If trent or someone else plays well, we'll be playoff bound or in the hunt. If not, again, may take some time. But whatever happens, u gotta... Believe baby, Believeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
Um, they drafted the most dynamic offensive player in the draft
-
I hope Wang is our LT for years to come. he has the "feet" as hes a converted tight end, and it was noted he is great against speed rushers. Thats big for LT's, they dont all have that. But can he run block and be nasty? idk, but I sure hope he can develop it. idk if this link was posted already

Trent is more talented than Fitz, u can see that just by watching, but when Fitz was given the starting job when Jauron was fired, it told me that Fitz had the lockeroom support for whatever reasons (veteran, better leader, makes the right reads) Its gailey & nix' team now, its whoever has the support from them, not the team. Just like trent started because he had Jaurons support. I think Brohm will go. he got beat out by a 7th rounder in green bay. same scenario here. And i hope trent starts bc honestly, he gives us the best chance to win talent wise. I hope gailey can help him stay healthy and make better reads through his scheme. Plus he loves to throw short, we have freddy and spiller!! Not to mention trents first three years in the league, compared to drew brees first three, stat wise, are very much the same. Lets not give up on him bc of poor coaching.
-
My personal view is that nix/gailey took Spiller bc hes the safest pick at the time. The best player at his position, and a player to can spark our very dull, lifeless offense. I love the pick and heres why (To see the future, you must look to the past). Top runningbacks of each draft in the last ten years, aka first rb taken each year. 2009 - Knowshon Moreno (solid rookie season, looks to be a good starter) 2008 - Darren McFadden (the raiders have been so screwed up offensively i dont know what to say, but he has not lived up to potential) 2007 - Adrian Peterson (enough said) 2006 - Reggie Bush (been okay, better of late, but hasnt lived up to hype) 2005 - Ronnie Brown (very, very good player) 2004 - Steven Jackson (very, very good player) 2003 - Willis McGahee (okay to good. nothing special though) 2002 - William Green (swing and a miss) 2001 - Ladian Tomlinson (enough said) 2000 - Jamal Lewis (had some amazing seasons before he slowed down) So of this group, the last 10 top running backs drafted at the head of their position/class, only two, McFadden and Green, have not panned out to some degree of success, with Mcfaddens story still in the works. McGahee and bush have not lived up to the hype, but they have been adequate starters. How many positions can you say that 80-90% of the time, you get a least a solid starter? Thats why i LOVE this pick. He has an 80-90 % chance of making our offense better. And he looks like he could be special, just watch this guy hit the hole and run. Marshawn couldnt catch this guys shadow. And lets face it, marshawn is a car accident away from being done, and freddy had one good yr as a running back and is getting old. But for all you arguers, who wanted Ot/Qb, and are all doomsday & think im drinking the kool aide, its time for me to school you. last ten drafts, #3 OT off the board, #2 Qb off board, referring to us taking davis, bulaga, or claussen/tebow at that spot for our offense. 2009: Eugene Monroe, Mark Sanchez, 2008: Chris williams, Joe Flacco, 2007: Joe Staley, Brady Quinn, 2006: Marcus McNeil, Brady Quinn, 2005: Michael Roos, matt Leinhart, 2004: Veron Carey, Aaron rodgers, 2003: kwame Harris, Philip Rivers, 2002: Levi Jones, joey Harrington, 2001: Maurice Williams, Drew brees 2000: Chris Mackintosh, Giovanni Carmazzi, Carmazzi? j Harrington, matt leinhart, b quin?? HAAA Qb is no comparison. and idk much about Maurice williams, kwame harris, & chris williams, but im not seeing 80-90% success rate their, either. Bottom line, the Bills made the safest pick to cure our offense, with the most explosive playmaker in the draft. Thumbs up baby, go bills!

um, tebow has the strongest arm in the draft, per every scout in the nfl.
