I'll Take 1-15 (Winning The Home Opener)

am i the only one that has any confidence in Chan's ability to make the offense work with a bad qb? i bet one of the ones listed turns out to be good enough for Gailey's offensive system. they passed on Clausen twice, McCoy thrice, and LeFevour i lost count. obviously the front office is confident with the current QBs. shouldnt we? and by jones do you mean brown? i know it doesnt matter either way because no one knows who he is but i thought id throw it out there -
yeah the hall of fame is full of laughing stocks. jerry rice... what a joke!

to be completely honest, i am a diehard bills fan that has always lived in Michigan, so i dont hear too much about the bills. and ive only been on the TBD walls since August. i was brought up in a family that loved Wilson, so i always assumed thats how all bills fans are, so it surprised me when i joined the forums that so many are anti-ralph.
-
i was going to say something similar, but you put it better than anyone else could have. some might be able to make the argument that Ralph is too involved in the team or not committed enough to winning, but these facts right here show how ridiculous it is to say Ralph is only about the money.

the past few months theres been a lot of ralphy junior bashing going on the TBD walls. Im just wondering why? why does every say he's mr. moneybags? If its about the fact that we havent signed a big free agent in the past few years (with the exception of T.O. but i would rather forget he ever existed), there's a strong ideology in football that you dont build your team around nomad free agents, you build through the draft. I think we can all agree that this is true and that the draft is what is important for building a team. and if Ralph Wilson was all about the money, he would definitely draft differently. ways to save money in the draft: draft low income positions (safety, Guard, Center, DL, TE), avoid high income players (QB, cornerback, RB, WR, LT), and trade down. In the bills' last 15 1st rounders, 10 of them have been either a QB, cornerback, RB, WR, or LT, including a QB and WR in the same first round in 2004. and they have only traded up in that time period. never down. one more thing, tagliabue and goodell have been dying for a team to play in Los Angeles. its hard to imagine they didnt put the pressure on Ralph to pack his bags and head for So Cal. but Wilson stuck with the city despite the crappy economy. lets be honest, its a horrible business move. but Ralph is still here doing his best. so why all the negative garbage being thrown at him the last few months?

it is very exciting. but we must realize we ain't talking about a quarterback or runningback. Wangs an offensive lineman: an extremely unglamorous position. even more unglamorous to a foreigner who doesnt know what a holding penalty is. i bet no chinese person is going to be glued to their tv to watch Wang make a pulling block, because they have no idea whether its he did good or bad.

i just find the story interesting that bill is still being an a-hole: letting players go after free agency and after the draft so they have a less likely chance to be picked up. its just common courtesy to let players go before free agency begins. the guy has no soul
-
just heard buddy nix say hes either gonna draft a qb or get a rookie free agent. i bet gailey has someone already in mind that fits his style of offense. and the pick will surprise us. it wont be lefevour or pike or anyone we will expect.

Last time Ralph W was seen..?
rjg1993 replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why does this matter? im not being sarcastic, i really want to know what your point is -
im extremely anti-trade lynch. but ronnie brown wouldnt be a bad pickup if we do go through with a trade. id be OK with it
-
why not? he's supposed to be the 3rd best OT in the draft and we pick 9th. why are we drafting a guy in the top ten that doesnt even look impressive compared to his fellow position players. thats why i dont want an OT. I believe that LTs will go early more because of an abundance of teams that need them than an abundance of talent. and its much better to draft the best guy on the board, especially when your coach keeps on repeating we can improve at each position. by the way, Kiper's exact quote was "i think the major reach is a guy who goes in the top 10, maybe where you thought 5 to Kansas City Todd [McShay], i thought 9 to buffalo, and thats Brian Bulaga from Iowa. Medical issue early on, came back rusty, struggled in pass protection as a left tackle until late in the year, may end up being a right tackle. so he's not elite at left tackle. i think he's over drafted if he goes in the top ten." this was during NFL Live's Draft Duel between Mel Kiper and Todd McShay. by the way McShays pick was if Bruce Campbell is picked in the late first round (which some say we will draft in the 2nd round. McShay said he was slow and not athletic enough to play Left takle

i just saw kiper on nfl live on ESPN. when asked the question "what potential first rounder would be a reach?" kiper's pick was bulaga. he said that he thinks the bills will take him but it will prove to be a mistake

Bills looking for second rounder for Lynch
rjg1993 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agreed. he shows more heart on the field than almost anyone I've ever seen in a bills uniform. off the field is a different story because of him not. showing up to early OTAs but still I've never seen beastmode fall down backwards in a run -

+1 why trade a proven pro-bowler who had one less than spectacular year for an unproven rookie. thats not filling a hole, thats buying a lottery ticket. and for those of you who claim we have an abundance of talent at RB, Jackson is 29 and thats past most RBs' primes. its most likely downhill from here. uticaclub had a good point too. we live a pretty sheltered life if we consider smoking a few joints gangster. maybe we're too quick to jump to conclusions about a kid from oakland -
The ONLY reason we only won 6 games is....

is eric studsville the rb coach? sorry im too lazy to look it up i think lynch has the talent to be the 2nd best back in the league behind AP. lynch just needs to get rid of that random studder step he had all last year. hopefully a new rb coach will correct that -
im a big fan of harris. he may be small but you cant tell it on tv. HE PLAYS BIG. and you cant say the same for poz whose the ideal weight but you never really see him deliver a hit or pop a running back in the hole. if youve seen harris play, you know he's a hell of football player and no number on a roster can change that.
-
I looked at the vids. looked like he had the best line in the FCS. he might be a decent NFL qb. but not a chance in Buffalo
-
Bulaga? when was the last time the bills took they guy they were supposed to? i think theyll end up taking someone like weatherspoon and have everyone scratching their heads.
-
maybe the best saying ive ever heard on the forum. well done
-
this team looks pretty bad as it is. and then you have to add in the inevitable injuries. im not loosing hope for next year. its just talent alone will not get us there. playcalling and the 3-4 has to work some wonders and someone has to become a beast in the offense. thats the only shot at climbing out of this hole
-
haha i got to admit that took me a while to get but thats a good one

call up every friend that made fun of me for rooting for a "hopeless team." oh by the way, only 355 more days until all of these things happen! gotta billieve
