My dad took me to the Rockpile in 1970 to my first game. I was 8. A couple years later moved to Hamburg, Ed Rutkowski lived on the next street and Al Bemiller was my position coach in little league. Joe Delamielleure walked his dog to one of our practices. Dad took us to watch the construction of Rich Stadium. My mom was County Executive Ned Regan’s executive secretary and she brought me some trinkets from the ribbon cutting for the new stadium. My sister graduated college and Jack Kemp hired her and moved her to DC. I never met him. Still live and die with them.

The first Cowboys SB. My ex sold a boat to a Vikings lineman. We live in Az and he played at ASU. All players back then got 2 tickets. He didn’t care to go so he only asked face value for them. $150. We fly to LA without tickets. His agent puts his secretary on a plane and she gets to our meeting spot at will call 5 minutes before kickoff. We got to see the famous folks get their tickets at will call. Bo Jackson, Jim Harbaugh and Dennis Rodman among them. I killed myself by halftime.

True. I was there. SoFi could be the 8th wonder of the world, with a AAA baseball team experience. Very few Charger fans, horrendous PA announcer. If only they showed replays on the $40,000,000 Jumbotron. They didn’t. I’ve been to two Bills games in San Diego. Crap stadium, excellent experience. San Diego deserves them back.

Was at SoFi Saturday night. Absolutely gorgeous. The Chargers production was not great. Very few replays on the 360 video screen. PA announcer sucked. Never mentioned a Bills player by name. I hope the Rams do a much better job.

We are driving in from Phoenix on Friday. Glad the Chargers don’t have any fans. 3rd level tickets $61 each. Anybody going to the Bills bash at Baja Sharkeez in Hermosa Beach Friday night? Are there other Bills parties on Friday night?

This does work. We were driving from SLC to Vegas. Once we got out of the Virgin River canyon in Az. cell service was great and my wife was able to place her MLB bets on Draft Kings without stopping. 29 miles of the Interstate is in Az.

I was in the stadium. They put big cards under our seats to hold up during Michael Jackson’s set. My section had all white cards. I had one of the three black ones to indicate an eye pupil. I was so p*ssed off I didn’t hold up my card. I’m sorry I messed up the entire show. I’ve been needing to get that off my chest.

She comes back and tells me there’s nothing she can do. To save face, I cancelled Sunday Ticket. She made no attempt to keep me. I had planned on crawling back next week. I began researching Sunday Ticket streaming for students. My daughter is in college here in Phoenix and has an .edu email. I went to sign up as a student with only her name, college name and birthdate. Didn’t ask for actual email address. I guess there’s a student clearinghouse which verifies students. Success! The only thing is you need a different email than your previous ST account. $79.99 for the YEAR includes Red Zone. Use coupon code BACKTOSCHOOL. I installed the ST app on Apple TV (you can watch on any device). As a bonus I got last nights game free as they use the final preseason game to work out bugs. You can only watch on one device at a time so the college kid that lets you use their info must not like football. An added bonus is the streaming picture is much better than my satellite picture ever was.

August 17, 1973. First ever game at Rich. I'm ten and a HUGE fan. My dad got two season tickets. My dad took my frickin little sister because it was her birthday. Then Herb Mul-Key returns the opening kick for a TD. My dad is still alive and I remind him at least once a year how he f'd up my childhood with that fateful decision.
