  1. I'd entertain swapping 2nd rd picks... Not first rd picks... 9 to 24 is way too steep, especially with our needs. I'd almost like to see Nix trade out of 9 and get extra picks on day 1... I think this is a deep draft.
  2. I believe with a solid 10-15 lbs added, Kelsay could be an ideal 3-4 end... I always thought that of him. Denny might be there too, again with a little added beef. I am not worried about the end sports w the 3-4, we need to worry about OLB and NOSE.... Maybin, as we all know, is the most likely candidate, but we still need one on the other side and another LB in the Middle...
  3. I just don't think we should be he team that goes after under achieving, aging vets.... I'd rather go young and rebuild the right way, even if it means going 3-13 next season... The transition to the 3-4 will pose a lot of challenges for the FO to find the right talent... Having said that, I've always liked Pierce... He might be a decent stop-gap option inside next to Poz.. neither one of them are game changers by any means though....
  4. Not saying I want him, but I am surprised CUlpepper's name hasn't surfaced...I'd prefer him over Vick at least. I like Pennington as a short term stop gap.. Maybe start the first 4-5 games until they are ready to bring in Claussen.
  5. I'd assume Maybin becomes an OLB and so does Poz.. I'd love to see McClain drafted as an ILB and either Mitchell or a FA to play the other ILB... I too am more concerned about the D Line... Williams is a little stout to be an end and Stroud might not be as elusive as he was a few years ago to play end... I don't see Schoebel playing in Buff next season.... Either via trade or retirement. Its kinda funny that we need a better pass rush and perhaps the best one we have may not fit our new system... Let's hope the Maybin "project" turns out to be worth the wait...
  6. I think you have to trust in a guy that has the kind of talent hardy has.. I really like Steve Johnson too... Hopefully Nelson continues to develop.. There are some talented young guys on the roster already... If they pick up another vet, I would not be opposed to Syallworth, but I'd rather have a big, physical guy... If Hardy has been training like HD shoujxbe, he'll be a lot stronger.
  7. No offense, but if you don't understand what the spread offense is, you probably should not be posting mock drafts...
  8. I don't see Stroud as a true two gapping NT... He could be serviceable at best.. He's more of a penetrating guy... maybe even better suited for the end spot, which are essentially very athletic tackles.. Williams and SPencer Johnson might even be able to convert in to an end rotation as well... but, I see us needing a new DLine altogether. This will clearly take more than one year to put together.. I don't think it will be as tough as most think though..
  9. This is more like it.... I like poz outside..... Donno if Wilfork is realistic, but, never know
  10. both SB teams use dirivatives of the Tampa two that most of the guys on this site dislike... Personally, I think systems come and go.. Get the right players and any system can work... If we move to a 3-4 it's going to be a long year next year.. We'd need to reconstruct our front 7...
  11. There is never a good time for this to happen, but this also gives Nix and Gailey a pass in year one IMO.. Be prepared for a step back before we can go forward.. this won't be well received, but its probably going to be the case. Its the right way to do it...
  12. I like your list, only Eric Moulds should be on this...... Bruce is number 1 bro...
  13. Bruce Smith.. without question, OJ second, Jimbo third, Thurman fourth and then Cookie....
  14. He's my number one choice... I've always liked him and I think he got screwed in NY (new decision makers and coaches)..
  15. Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuce,OJ, Jimbo,Thurman,cookie
  16. The man speaks the truth... The running game is usually limited to end around, draw, or QB choice reads.... So, the QB's that are in shotgun never develop footwork for drops or even the run game... All the more reason why I hate it in HS, even more than college.. To add... Any run out of shotgun is designed to look like a pass anyways, unless you are in Gailey's pistol...
  17. I read it on PFT and came right here to post that I thought he'd be here by the weekend... He could run either a 3-4 or 4-3... Might be interesting to be one of those hybrid teams that uses both formations.. I am extremely surprised we don't see more of that... This guy is creative though.. I'd support it.
  18. Didn't be play outside at Penn st? I thought he was a 4-3 wil....
  19. I think Kyle Williams could be a two gapper, but I don't see him being a GOOD two gapper... He's strong and physical, but he's not very large, and has relatively short arms for an NFL DT... Ideally, you'd like a monster that is quick, strong, and has long arms. I just don't think that this player is on our roster.. Stroud sounds like it, but he's a pennetrating guy.. not a two gap guy... I'd like to see Spencer Johnson, and Stroud or Kelsay as the ends... Find a NT and move Poz outside with Maybin.. draft AND bring in an ILB... I love McClain, If they chose a 3-4 I don't know how he gets passed up unless one of those stud DTs is in play...
  20. Well my feelings on this are mixed... I respect McNabb, but it's still only a stopgap.. Since we'll be altering the defensive philosophy, perhaps this prospective trade ends up being roster players.. Maybe Lynch, Kyle Williams, pozlusny, players that might fit what they do and aren't in the Bills plans...
  21. Dude, if we knew the answer to that question, we would be making hundreds of thousands working for NFL teams or for ESPN doing mock drafts that are dead on each year...
  22. Wow, that came up here fast.. I just logged on to post it.. nice work! So, does this mean they have a DC? it seems odd to piece together a staff without the coordinator...
  23. The problems arise when you change scemes or don't have coaches to bring young player along... We drafted players for Gregg Williams.. by the time they were getting better, we was gone.. Like right now, Kyle Williams has really matured as a young player.. if Jim Bates is the DC, he'd never fit the system... We'd have vertually no DLine with a 3-4 and our backers would be a mess (one would argue thats the case for any sceme with this LB talent) That's why this 4 coaches in 10 years f'd us us so bad.. we can't draft talent to fit what we want to do... basically because we don't stay with anything.. we don't stay with anything because we make bad choices and the coach looks bad... I truly believe McNally made Peters what he was.. Once McNally left, Peters was never quite the same. Every time I saw him this year, he was getting blown up or hurt... that reminds me a lot of his last year here...
