  1. Ted Thompson isn't leaving Green Bay for that "promotion" - sorry, just not happening...he's got a solid organization in place that he's the head of and has great success with, is very well paid and respected and answers to no one but himself....unless your making him one of the 32 owners in the league, I don't see ANY job as a promotion, especially to this perpetual **** show
  2. Do you mean "EJs in the pocket skill set is no better than an average backup"? It seems you are trying to say that where EJ can be successful is by moving around and getting outside the pocket....
  3. Mark Ingram might also fit well, and he's a free agent, old frank gore is a free agent as well - I would assume we won't go into the season with the three backs we currently have (or who knows maybe we will....fred can run in any system, boobie has experience, and well...brown is a wild card)
  4. I don't think there's any question he's on this squad moving forward
  5. Happy belated Gug - hope you had good food and few light beers : )
  6. I think you can never have too much good coaching/experience/ideas - IF they are all willing to be open and learn and work together....if it happens let's hope they are all professionals and can add their own wrinkles to the overall defense
  7. I'm not concerned about Her commitment to the bills/buffalo area....she's a "local" (from Rochester) so I have faith that the team will remain in buffalo for a longggggg time My comment was simply, "woah...she is a LOT more involved in these two sporting orgs than I previously imagined...don't know I feel about her possibly makkng decisions, or at least be given information and have to read/react/evaluate..." It's surprising to me that's all...if I spent over A billion dollars on something like Terry did (let's not pretend any of this money is Kim's) I would want to be the one who people were reporting to....is Terry THAT busy??? With what??
  8. Well jack, for all of our sake I hope Kim/Terry shares your thoughts on not ripping apart the engine...have the correct people in place and let them make the decisions and run the organization
  9. I am not a huge fan of that news either, but im just passing alog what this gentlemen told me Did you notice I used "whilst" though? Her roll concerns me because what does she know about football and or hockey!? She was a freaking waitress!!! As far as exact people who report to her, I honestly do not recall but I remmeber thinking "wow those are some big names that are forced to report to Kim and not Terry or someone who knows what the hell they are doing"
  10. Some "insider info" and just general cool info about Fred, as well as the coaching search that Iearned about last night whilst having drinks with a friend "in the know"...nothing earth shattering but thought I would share... Fred recently stated that he planned on playing for at least three more years...side note, and this should be no surprise to anyone, Fred is described by this person as the most competitive person alive who wills himself to do what he has done and will do...his agent basically said "Fred, your old and no ones going to give you any type of contract after this one runs out"...Fred said "what do I need to do to get another contract"? His agent replies off the cuff, "oh I don't know, score 12 TDs next year"...Fred said, "ok...I'll score 12 touchdowns then", in complete seriousness and WILL talk to his agent after every game updating him on his TD total and telling him to get him that contract Terrence Mcgee is in awful shape physically, needs knee replacement, gets continuous treatment on his back and neck....poor fella, and a microcosm of what most NFL players go through on a daily basis when they retire The coaching search: the pegulas are in the room with Doug and Russ for every interview. Doug is running the show completely asking all of the questions throughout the interview, except Terry throws in "random, off the wall" questions to each candidate as he sees fit, which i understand is equally hilarious and baffling Kim has a very active roll in both the sabres and the bills, several people high up in each organization report directly to her and NOT Terry (this concerns me) For what it's worth, this person thinks Kyle Shanahan will be the next head coach of the Bills
  11. Brown a player and will most likely be the "feature back" (with Fred and boobie obviously getting work - depending on what offense we are running) next season....and was also a major factor in Whaley trading for him....knowing Fred is old and always dinged up, CJ walking....made total sense brown has great size and speed combo to be the lead dog, until fumbles continue to be a problem in the offseason/preseason/season next year...I don't see how he's not the bills feature back (unless we use an early pick on a RB which I don't believe we will)
  12. Shhhhhhh the Whaley haters will burn you at the stake you heretic!!! Live in the shadows!
  13. his running back is Boom Herron
  14. Offer him a fair contract at 3 years....3 years 24 million, with a big signing bonus...if he declines, ok see ya Insert another DE who will play just as good, if not better against the run and who can win his share of 1 on 1s that Hughes has been getting and get sacks as well This defense has great, great players no doubt (Hughes isn't one of them) - but their play is a sum of the parts equation, Hughes can be replaced Yes we have cap space, and we NEED that cap space to re-sign our stars next year and the year after - not to mention sign some competent OG/TE - no need to go to cap hell over jerry Hughes
  15. Sure i wouldn't blame you for being in a celebratory mood - but THATS how you choose to celebrate?? I tend to go out and get drunk, go to a nice dinner, enjoy a stogie and a scotch - but I guess, to each his own?
  16. Where/when/why would Bradham be going anywhere?
  17. the high octane is just too....malty/heavy for me...tastes too much like malt liquor for my tastes.... seriously get your hands on the LITE if you can, its worth every penny....id be interested on your take considering our very similar beer tastes/palates
  18. OK HOP LOVERS just had Evil Twin Brewing Molotov Cocktail LITE (8.5%) at Moor Pat in Williamsville (great, little new pub that has awesome selections on tap and in cans/bottles - check it out) - awesome, awesome, awesome....had it on tap and then in can this is currently my new favorite beer Also, I went out trying to find this at local craft beer store, they only had the Molotov Cocktail (13%) and it was no where near as good Check it out and let me know what you think!!!!
  19. he was not even talking to you/about your post haha - do you know how to use the board? and there are many posters on this board who understand the NFL and the "intricacies of the NFL offenses and defenses" (and many who are just talking out of their ass)
  20. The wire had a great ending season / episode (it also helps that it's the best show ever) One thing I totally don't get is that ratty chick with the blanket - she shows up at the truck stop with Gemma - and then gives jax the blanket - what's her deal??? Did I miss something? Ok never mind - I did some googling and yes I did miss something, for those that were in the same boat as me, see link below http://www.technologytell.com/entertainment/31414/sons-of-anarchy-finally-explains-that-homeless-woman/
  21. GREAT POINT I know nothing about his offense at D3 - anyone explain or have resources about it?
  22. Canisius is sick, this is true (wish I could be proud of a high school like that)...Wheatley isnt a Canisius kid though haha, that was a freak situation, but he will be recruited from WNY Canisius is an outlier though, could Canisius compete on a national level? They would be NYs best hope at it....Jamestown vs real football schools across the country? Would be like the Packers playing a d-2 school Agree with what your saying though, gobble up all that local talent sure....but his success will rest on if he can pull big time talent to this school from real football hot beds
  23. great post, couldnt agree more build the team, build the team the right way, build the team that a COMPETENT QB can step into and guide to the playoffs....thats how you sustain success, thats how you win and thats how you change the loser ass culture we have had for 15 years It all boils down to the QB, but if you do it right, you dont need a Luck/Brady/Manning/Rodgers to win, you can get it done with a Dilfer/Flacco type QB....just someone competent....its easier to find a competent QB than a truly franchise guy love what Whaleys done here and hope Pegula is smart enough to keep him here for the long haul
