The Sport that is Sweeping the Nation - Pickleball.
PaattMaann replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I played pickelball in gym class in high school - it was always our favorite sport for gym I was dominant every year, until the final game when I would play this kid named Oxley who had a vicious serve that had backspin like I've never seen before...would get destroyed by him and always had to settle for 2nd place -
yes you can disagree if thats your belief, but if you look up the past records, his predictions/player analysis have been more accurate than the rest of the field

Mayocks guesses are better than industry standard though - like you said, it's a guessing game so of course he's going to miss on some and his views should not be held as gospel But his views > basically every other talking head currently out there

Where will you be on draft night?
PaattMaann replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thursday: smoke a pre draft cigar with some scotch or whiskey....there's options....order up a nice large pizza (currently leaning towards pepperoni, onion and green olives but might change to sausage over pepperoni by draft day), crack some cold craft beers and enjoy the entire evening - might even take a half day Friday so I can sleep in a bit Friday: have a lacrosse game until 7, race home and continue my activities from Thursday night with leftover pizza and more craft beer - although I wouldn't mind grilling a little bit on Friday night....hmmmm decisions decisions Saturday: watch until 3:30 then going out for a round of golf and dinner with my wife, will keep up with rounds 6 and 7 via phone but hopefully we trade all those picks to get an extra fifth or 4th somehow I LOVE the draft....not just for the bills, but for the team, NFL and players....I'm a football junkie and this is like nirvana weekend -

because only tools use e-cigs, and the bills are trying to limit the amount of tools coming to and fro the stadium -

Yea I hear you I think there would be interest - even from non UB alum/fans - but even 30,000 (or 40,000 if we wanna go hog wild) would seem like a lot of dead space at the Ralph....it is a good suggestion though -

Seems like a waste of stadium space though doesn't it? Ub stadium can easily accommodate the "thanksgiving crowd", where as 20,000 in the Ralph would make it seem verrrrrryyyyy empty Maybe in a few years if UB gets good and consistently draws large crowds this would be a very worthwhile option - but for now, I just don't know how it makes sense The sabres/bills planned weekends is veryyyyy smart (from a planning standpoint for out of towners - but do the bills or sabres care from a ticket standpoint? Neither team had problems selling out games really - unless it's December and bills are irrelevant, but those days are hopefully over haha) -

Breaking down Preston Brown's rookie yr/fit in Rex D
PaattMaann replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
great article, read it yesterday....some posters on this board will have their eyes opened in regards to Browns coverage ability - which ive been praising since midway through last season. He had a rough game against San Diego in coverage and that seemed to be all that people would remember. Hes an all around SOLID linebacker who COULD be a pro bowler for years in the middle of this defense We do need depth across the board at LB though in case someone gets Kiko'd -

Best road trip this season to see Bills?
PaattMaann replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we were also planning on doing the Washington game this year, but im not going to risk december travel or sit outside in december for an away game... would love to do the Tennessee game as Nashville is one of my fave places...but I dont think its going to work for us....but I would recommend that game/city for people who can (that weekend is also Oktoberfest in Nashville) - and if you go to Nashville be sure to go to Yazoo Brewery -

You could pretty much wipe out year 1 impact - might have him healthy and ready to play by November, but he would need to get in "game shape"....but that said, I just might!! Haha There is a difference between "dropping out of the first" and dropping all the way down to 50 though....and I'm not interested in a trade up -
Bills "right on the verge", rated 5th best roster in AFC

Then we would still be above them..... -
which player do you hope slides to us at 50 realisitcally?
PaattMaann replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This! For the first year in a while, rookies will have a hard time making this team let alone being an immediate contributor. With that said, a guy like shaq could contribute in a big way right away. A guard/OT would be a nice fit but realistically could they crack the starting five? Not that our five is all world, but we have seen rookie linemen struggle not just here but around the league (there are certainly exceptions). I hope for an impact player at 50 - but anyway you slice it we are in the best position roster wise than we have been in a longgggggggg time -
Whaley not happy Bills haven't done more to address OL
PaattMaann replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is Henderson a better fit for LT instead of RT? Either way, if he's lined up at one of the spots, I can imagine there will be LOTS of chips to the edge rushers outside shoulder to allow for Henderson to better get his hands on the defender, something that he struggled with towards the end of last year (guys were giving double moves, and getting around him to the outside) The whole o-line is still a work in progress (the whole point of what Whaley was saying) - and we won't know what the five is until the start of camp That said, I'm expecting a better performance out of the group based on the new coaching staff compared to the old staff alone And lastly: enough of everyone speculating we could see Mario restructure this offseason to make way to a Mathis/Evans trade....we reeaaallllyyyyy need that restructure to happen next year so we can avoid cap nightmare/signing all of our FAs -

Charles Clay REPORT: Dolphins won't match offer sheet
PaattMaann replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
and only about 5-7 of them worth signing will take money....one of which, Dareus, is already coutning 8 million against the cap this year, so his contract will probably require about 5 million more in salary for the next season....its not unfathomable... Glenn, if he has a great year, will command top dollar...same goes for Gilmore...we have the room for both (especially with Mario restructure next offseason)... And the icing on the cake is, the cap continues to rise....we have the money, we will keep our players
