  1. to you, and to make believe reporters I think there was dysfunction when the Pegulas took over, because they didnt know how to run an NFL org. They had too many cooks in the kitchen, and then over ruled them all with their own ideas...this offseason, post rex firing, has seemed very fluid and professional. I dont see any signs of dysfunction now that the Pegulas realized to give their GM the power all other GMs in the league have and stop butting in.
  2. again, EJ was def. Nix pick (im sure with input from Whaley yes) and I dont mind the Cardale pick, why not take potential and see if it can be developed when your struggling at the most important position in sports?? And theres 21 other starting spots on the team aside from QB that Whaley has also addressed...so I dont see how that being a bad GM
  3. Buddy put himself out to pasture after the draft, in which he stated many times publicly that he would leave after "getting his guy" at QB (EJ Manuel)
  4. is this the epic greatness we get now that BBMB has been shut down? sweet jesus
  5. I agree hes a good talent evaluator, and do not want to see him gone. I also like McD as the one voice/face of the franchise. For me, Whaley basically was not in control ever here...2013 and before you had buddy nix...2014 you had Brandon heavily involved...Whaley didnt hire Marrone or Rex Ryan. I think after the firing of Rex and the promotion of Brandon, Whaley finally has the reigns completely as far as making football decisions (with heavy consult from the HC, as it should be), so im willing to see how these next two seasons go before I would consider being on board with giving Whaley the axe
  6. oh my bad Yolo, I thought I read earlier in this thread thats what you were implying, and then I saw you post about the hiring of Boyko and thought you were furthering that line of thought...my sincerest of apologies
  7. yea im familiar with that article...where does it say Whaley is being fired/phased out/replaced? Who cares if the GM doesnt speak to the media and instead its the HC, great, more time for the GM to do his actual job and not try and placate the media hacks
  8. Under whaley there has always been the "one voice" policy, and when fat mouth Rex was here, during the season that was him...Boyko being brought in doesnt lessen Whaleys role, we had a PR guy before Boyko was brought in...so that dudes role was replaced, not Whaleys
  9. I dont see that at all...so I guess not "anyone can see" that... Keep feeding into made up stories though
  10. that has been the company line at OBD since Whaley came in...during the season the head coach is the ONE VOICE and as far as someone saying Whaley has been out of sight....what? hes been at pro days, the combine, with potential FAs....dont know where you have been this thread has too much legs already for an absolute not story
  11. DING DING DING laconforma is the hackiest hack of all hacks...stirs **** up out of thin air instead of actually developing any sources and getting real information
  12. what are you ranting about? We didnt dismantle our run unit...we have the same exact EVERYTHING except we changed to a more versatile and athletic FB (who is an equally as good blocker)... soooo, whats your point here?
  13. I think it will be a year of growing pains for sure, but I dont think that means we wont be "in the hunt"...we improved on D just by jettisoning the fat ass and his old defensive ideas. Offense should remain elite at running the ball, and the passing game can go nowhere but up (or stay terrible, in which case it still got the job done last year)
  14. Thats the problem with constant scheme switches McD isnt going to plug every hole on defense in the first year of transition...we have to do the best with what we have. Sometimes that means players playing positions in a D they arent ideally fit for (but they COULD blossom into it given time and coaching - if they have the acumen for it). LB right now seems to be an area that fits this bill...maybe we wont find what we need in the draft and will have to "make do" for this season and hope to fill those spots in FA or draft next year. You cannot always fill all your needs, even in the best of situations. We changed schemes (yet again) so its going to take more than one offseason to build that D...
  15. why wont it end up well for whoever gets him? Because he is exploring options in what is likely his last chance to get paid well as an NFL football player? I dont blame the guy at all...hes doing due diligence. Why would that affect his play on the field? Why cant he shop around, find his value and best fit, sign a contract and play really well? I love how we, as fans, throw stones at guys who have their lives/careers/family well being on the line.
  16. any production at all from Listenbee is icing on the cake (except we have nothing at WR after Sammy so, is there even really a cake?)...good thing we run the ball
  17. No rules to my knowledge about those caps. 25k barrels would be a crazy amount for them to produce, especially early on, nothing for them to worry about. Side note: what a stupid law! Isn't this America and capitalism? If a brewery could self distribute that amount why the hell shouldn't they be allowed to? As far as someone else commenting about them competing with themselves in that location. Not really. Has anyone ever tried getting into 716 and had to wait? Exactly, another space for people to pre game, post game, watch games, visit year round and make that area viable. And yes they can then have some of their own brew on tap at 716. Again I'm just speculating based on my knowledge that they are touring breweries, so when I saw their purchase of this building (at a very steep mark up) it just made sense to me that they might make a brewery out of that spot.
  18. yea I wasnt criticizing I was just curious if there was actual info for this or just speculation... the exec's and managers from 716 rest. and Pegula sports have been touring breweries in the area so I thought they might want to open their own brewery, this building might fit the bill
  19. Don't know if they bought business and building or just building but I think that doesn't matter - I have strong beliefs they are going to build a brewery there
  20. If we draft a WR in round 1 or 2 (or maybe even 3) - they COULD come in and immediately replace Woods "production". Yes Woods was an excellent run blocker, but thats not to say the new WR cannot also be. And this would be at a fraction of his contract. Gilmore's quality wont be replaced, but it doesn't need to be as dictated by the defensive scheme. Why pay 50 dollars for a pair of shoes that do the same job as a 5 dollar pair? And you are right...we had a lot of free agents and holes that we needed to use our available funds to fill...I just don't agree that we really lost much we can't / haven't replaced.
  21. THIS GUY gets it.. Semi cap strapped and we got some guys who will make a difference on sundays (hyde, dimarco, good depth and probably some surprise performers) Gilmore and Woods = luxuries
  22. why would he really want to stick it to the Bills? What have the Bills ever done to threaten him? This is just silly This is "Buffalo mentality". We hate the Patriots and Brady and Bill because they have been dominant....so then we take it personal and make up things when they dont exist lol. They took Hogan from us because he fits their offense/philosophy, and now have paid Gilmore because Bill likes him as a shut down corner (that we dont need here in our new defense BTW)....has nothing to do with personal beef between Bill and the Bills - but I guess you can keep being delusional
  23. I dont think "Billacheat" cares one way or another where a guy is coming from, and therefore shoving it in the face of their former team...you really think Bill loses ANY sleep over the Buffalo Bills and their players/former players? We are so far beneath them its not even conceivable. I do think he is very great at finding other teams castoffs (no matter what team), or players he covets for their fit in his system, and brings them in. They have success because everyone has success on the Patriots, and therefore it may seem to fans of those players former teams that their face is being shoved in it when those players do experience success with the Pats.
  24. fun Want - Mahomes Dont Want - Any CB Dark Horse - Cunningham Think - If there, Davis, if not Peppers
