  1. OP should at least put QBs name in thread title or post so those who cannot open links/videos know who everyone is referring to...for those who would fall under the above, the thread is about Phillip Walker, Temple QB
  2. Stop posting and brew some beer. Listenbee COULD maybe become that "take the top off" guy, but we rightfully shouldnt hope for that. Any guy we draft that could be a good number 2, Williams/Davis/Jones/Godwin, arent those blow the top off guys either. So what is the solution? If we draft another 5th/6th round speedster, he goes into the same boat as Listenbee as far as COULD become that guy. How do we address that need?
  3. anyone hating on Shady not attending voluntary OTA's needs to get a life He's a professional, he's in shape, he's our best player, he's been in contact with McDermott already during the offeseason...nothing to see here, move along
  4. Amen to that....Benny with a bomb and big catch, great twitter photo of his extension to catch the ball superimposed against the MJ "jump man" silhouette, its beautiful. Agreed on the shift bunt...Cole looked into the dugout PISSED after that. Great game 1 for the Sox (Porcello ran out of gas, otherwise he was perfect, and thats expected trying to go 7 innings and 100 pitches on day 1)
  5. Lets go Red Sox!!!! Could be a special year, or we could finish next to last in the East...depends on pitching health and if guys from last year can replicate what they did at the plate (Sans Papi of course)...
  6. Thinks you based on Shanny's offense... I think Shanny sees Mahomes and says "yea he can run my offense...and THEN some" Gobble Gobble at 2
  7. if you want him you better trade to #1 because the 9ers are taking him at 2 brah
  8. Right, and all head coaches do this...so why are you so butt hurt over it?
  9. Why is training and guiding a blind runner such a great feet (see the pun there?)? Why does this mean he does an excellent job strengthening and conditioning NFL football players? Most likely, McD just wants to bring in his own people who fit what he wants to do, nothing wrong with that...good on him
  10. 9ers should scare you too I agree 100% about being more mad at watching us pass on Mahomes than him getting drafted before us...hopefully thats the case because it will be hard to stomach watching us pass on him for another cornerback or god forbid, positionless (and really, not very good) Peppers
  11. and so the "Mahomes creeping up draft board" speculation by the media will begin...when really, NFL Scouts and GMs have known for some time that this is the best QB in the draft... Cardinals had Mahomes in for private workout with their staff and FO, and all came away beyond impressed... Now the media will and mock drafters will start mocking him to them at 13...or trade up for him... Give it a week or so and other teams will be linked to him and we will see him going in the top 5, as he should....hes the GOAT
  12. yea, those teams have QBs or coaches who know how to coach (which we havent had in Whaleys tenure, and not to his fault, he didn't hire those guys) Love the depth pick up...Whaley does seem to constantly pick up other teams trash and work them into serviceable or better roles here, color me optimistic
  13. God, I am going to absolutely HATE IT when we pass on this kid...I might need counseling How do people not think he should be the number 1 overall pick? If your team needs a QB, your silly to pass on his potential
  14. best first post EVER long live towlie
  15. ya'll sound like a bunch of poors I will gladly pay for my PSL and can pay for increased parking (or ride the train down to the downtown stadium) I'm a libertarian so I don't want the gov't to dictate that I must give them ANY money, but thats not reality of todays world, so if they are going to take my money I would rather they spend it on part of a new Bills stadium than on A) paying for Grand Islands Bridge repairs B) putting and keeping drug addicts behind bars C) any downstate action, just to name a few
  16. His sources tell him the ownership is mad at Whaley - not really sure how or why considering they were the cause of the whole Rex disaster and the reason Doug couldn't answer any questions... What would the owners expect if they ignore the advice of their GM, hire their own guy, constantly interfere with the running of the organization and undermine the GM at every turn?
  17. "You know, I've really just been enjoying life after college football and my surgery. I've mostly just eaten unhealthy, went to a few frat parties - crrrazzzyyyy frat parties, I'm talking like butt chuggin off hot college tail crazy! - and haven't really been working out too much. So I would assume I am a little behind schedule, but ya know, YOLO!"
  18. speaking of Arthur Jones, Id like for us to give a nice cheap deal to Art as defensive line depth. My reasons are mostly personal as I played high school football with him and still keep in touch. If the Bills sign him then maybe I can start feeding us all inside info on the reg.
  19. Im not asking JW to answer for his media hack buddies...I am hoping he can shed some light on his feelings for the poor state of his profession. If someone asked me about teachers today I would be more than happy to give my feelings on the state of teaching today.
  20. It would be great if you answered the question in his post...why do others in your profession just tweet/write rumors instead of developing sources and posting when they are confident in something (like you usually do)...isnt that what being a reporter/writer actually is?
  21. Oh sure I'll bite. Patrick Mahomes, QB Texas Tech, at #10. We all know QB is the most important position in sports, and we have Tyrod Taylor as the place holder for this year and possibly next and then we can cut bait. This is NOT a place to debate whether TT is or isn't the guy. Even if he magically turns into Drew Brees overnight, wouldn't hurt to have a capable backup or some trade bait. Now is the time to address the most critical position in sports, with a guy who has the most electric arm I have seen since probably Favre. He has big stats, he has highlight reel after highlight reel. And he has issues. He played in a "gimmick offense", he saw almost exclusively zone coverage so his reading of defense is lacking. He DID go through progressions, he has great pocket presence and is a leader on the field. His arm is a cannon. He can make every NFL throw (and off his back foot none the less, while falling away from the throw). He has the intangibles to match the arm. He has also played baseball at Tech, and now can focus solely on his football throwing motion. Sure he has flaws, almost every prospect does. Draft him for his upside, and it's huge upside, it's franchise upside. Could he flop? Sure he could, what prospect that we would draft at 10 doesn't have that possibility? Drafting Mahomes and letting him sit and learn for a year or two, and fix his weaknesses (reading defenses, mechanics) behind TT will give him the best chance at success. If you have the chance to draft someone who could stabilize and thrive at the most important position on your team, why would you pass that up? For a #2 WR (that may also flop)? For a LB (that may also flop)? For yet another defensive back (that may also flop)? All of those positions are luxuries in comparison to the QB spot. Draft Mahomes at #10 for a true chance at sustained success, and maybe even a chance at building our own dynasty.
  22. Preach brother - agree 100% The purpose of the media is to report facts to the public. The Buffalo sports media tries to make mountains of not even mole hills, flat ground.
  23. currently, on our team whats hard to understand about a restricted free agent status? We put a contract out to him, he is forced to play under that contract, if another team offers him a contract instead, the Bills have the right to match it and keep him - which I would fully expect us to do... Use a tissue and sop up your tears and fear not
