  1. thats todays world bro too many people view the world as black vs white, when in reality the world is 5 percent one way, 5 percent the other and 90 percent in the middle....there is a wholeeeeeee lot of gray areas in all aspects of life. We would be better served as a society if we focused on and stayed in the gray area
  2. came in to say this Barnett is like "listen you old curmudgeons, toe the new line or GTFO" or, there is finally a regime in place in both franchises that value accountability and have a solid plan in place (regardless of how the rest of this season goes)
  3. that's not exactly what their intention was, I hope you know that. The intention was to line up and see if we got a look we liked, then you run the play you had called, if not, try and draw offsides for another crack at it. Worst case scenario was the delay and take the points. Personally I would have probably tried to punch it in the end zone and step on their throat. But making the staff out to be bumbling idiots for the decision is flat out wrong.
  4. realistically I would love to nab Tavon Austin for his speed/deep ball...even though he hasn't really shown much ability in the NFL....and now McVay is using him as a RB mostly, and hes kind of good at it. I dont see them parting with him. I think the WRs on our roster or PS are what we roll with all year. Sign FA/draft WR next year. I just dont think McBeane value WR that much honestly (although some resources went to WR in Carolina - Benjamin, Funchess)
  5. exxxxxactlyyyyyyyy people...jesus sometimes people here are beyond dumb bring up Reilly now and he does well, what do you do with him when Matthews comes back? He wont be able to be snuck back onto the practice squad (all teams have an opp. to claim him) so we waste his developmental year....which I trust he needs
  6. we arent asking him to win games by himself he throws the ball less than 25 times a game the QBs who are putting up 40 throws a game are the ones that throw for 300 yards a game TT is doing what hes being asked to do, manage games and win
  7. it worked, but next time lets make sure we put 11 guys on the field instead of the 10 that we decided on
  8. worst halftime show would be ANY classic rock band. They are old and stodgy. Yawn. Dont want to see broken hips and what not
  9. didnt we run a lot of zone blocking schemes the past two years under Lynn? I know this is an outside zone, but wouldn't the concepts be very similar?
  10. THIS. The Falcons will move the ball up and down the field basically at will through the air, and we can survive that. Stout in the red zone, hold to FGs and stay in the game.
  11. no I think he is being serious...at least regarding the Newton tackle. That was embarrassing to watch. HOWEVER, the rest of his season thus far he has been awesome.
  12. this guy knows whats up... Big Ditch should be on your list Toutant has great food right by there (big ditch also has pretty good pub grub) RiverWorks is def. worth checking out. I would walk into 716 just to see it, but dont get any food there, and even if you CAN order a drink (usually busy and bartenders suck, even when they are slow) you probably dont want too That is a full friday/Saturday right there....if time, checking out Lockhouse Distillery is worth while, might be a good concert at Iron Works too
  13. hahahahahahah, excellllllentttttttt
  14. like some people choosing EITHER labatts or molson
  15. yessir I believe you stumbled into Tavern on the Tracks (and you should do so again this weekend!)
  16. "and you know, get two birds stoned at once" - Ricky
  17. Yes your pass pro approach makes sense, but with Wood what I am referring to would be: Miller steps right at snap to prevent outside rush by Short, Wood steps right to eliminate a quick charge from Short across Miller's face, in the time it would take Short to come across Miller's face, Wood should be able to get to Miller's inside shoulder and help fend off that inside rush I also suspect we see a lot of Toldozier in pass pro
  18. for sure on all accounts. Shady said after the game that they didnt throw one designed pass play to him, we will see that this week. Moving one of those LBs in man coverage out on shady, or even forcing them to honor him in their zone coverage will DEF. open things up in the middle, abbbbsoooolutely What can we do in those situations where short is lined up over millers outside shoulder - particularly in pass pro? Shift pass pro to the right so wood can help with an inside move by Short? Blast our FB/RB up the gut to help an inside rush move by Short? This does worry me
  19. great breakdown of their defense....looks to me like a lot of pass rush was generated because San Frans LG played like booty cheeks. Hopefully this is not the case with Richie Also looks like their zone defense gives up a lot of boundary passes, something TT can do well
  20. Jets game = preseason game for all three units, playing a full game together...was a great warm up and our coaches wisely played it VERY vanilla We will see a lot more of the playbook this week - designed passes to Shady, utilizing the WRs on the boundaries, and A LOT of play action. We will see some wrinkles defensively too that will help get pressure. Cam will not be taking just 2-3 step drops and throwing the ball like the Jets did, so our pressure will have time to get home. Personally I think our DTs are going to collapse the pocket all day long and will be a real problem for Cam. This should be a game where the more disciplined team, and the team with less turnovers wins. I think McD has the right recipe to win this type of game. Will be real close....hopefully the pro-Bills crowd will leave happy and party all over Charlotte
  21. Boyst can better answer this, or other locals (Im from buffalo), but from what I understand, there really arent tailgating lots like in Buffalo...a lot of tailgating happens at bars
  22. I heard Poyer talking on the radio today, he said that was not actually a blitz call. They were in man coverage and he read his key on the TE, TE blocked so Poyer was free to do as he saw fit....wisely, he chose to rush the passer! Love it. Exactly what happened almost all day...quick hitting pass attempts usually do not lead to much pressure from the D, expect that all year from the Jets This D line will generate pressure, just tough to do on 2-3 step drops
  23. me and my crew will be there, section 500 something, paid 150 per ticket and that was enough, wasnt going to even sniff the crazy asking price for anywhere lower than the 500s we will be tailgating at Tavern on the Tracks (Bar) about half a mile from the stadium. They open at 10 and they are the official bills backers bar, have a buffalo themed party going on all weekend. See ya'll there, ill be in my Kilt and Kelly jersey as usual
  24. yes refer to the thread https://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/194225-pre-tailgate-party-night-before-we-play-panthers-in-carolina/
