  1. as long as they arent the stupid overly sweet milkshake IPAs full of lactose I would be ok....oh wait, we are trading these FOR gronk But really, No....huge injury question marks, recent questioning of his own commitment to football, huge !@#$....no thanks
  2. woahhhh, that took a negative turn.... disengaging
  3. wasnt in the title but was in the OP
  4. I do agree about fixing/building the o-line over a RB....that is why this thread is dedicated to discussing late round RB options...are you THAT polish? : )
  5. again, he has been GREAT at every other position but has SUCKED when evaluating QBs
  6. and then what is your plan for IF shady gets injured / hits the year 30 RB wall / in another year or two when Shady is done? Your solution just seems to be kick the can down the road or do what we did last year and bet all in on Shady....I think many of us here and hopefully the FO realize we need to address the RB position for now and the future... Above in the post I did mention addressing the RB spot in FA (possibly resigning Cadet) but we also need to add play makers on offense/ST and the RB position is certainly a way to do that via this draft
  7. my D 2 school comment was in jest....I know SD St is in the Mountain West...but the mountain west sucks at footballing Big question with Penny is: can his talent play in the NFL or is his production based on the poor level of Comp in college?
  8. exactly the info I was looking for, thanks! if you saw my earlier post regarding Penny, you would see that I really do want to like him and love the idea of being able to nab a potential future RB1 in the 3rd/4th round....but who he played against worries me. Highlights/game tape is full of him running around untouched And personally i think the MAC is better football than the Mountain West
  9. he did look really good playing D 2 schools
  10. yea his lack of college production is what I was referring to when I asked "what is the deal" and "Why didnt he ever really produce"? I can see lack of use, and am wondering why....lack of hands eh? Seems like it would have to be more than that...Daboll should know best though
  11. his are different from the majority BECAUSE he scouts/watches film and knows football. The majority just parrots each other / group thinks / sells for their station/network/news outlet.
  12. What is Bo Scarborough's deal? 5 star recruit out of high school, big size and speed, huge land for Nick Saban, run oriented offense...why didn't he ever really produce/why isn't he a top notch NFL prospect? (time share? injury?)
  13. I want to really like Rashaad Penny as a 3rd round pick...BUT, who the hell has he played against? Toughest competition this season was Stanford and its not even close. Watch any game film/highlight reel and its mostly him running around untouched or breaking one arm tackle. This is loads different than what he will see in the NFL....but, I guess thats why he might be available in the 3rd/4th round and not a 1st/2nd rounder... I want to draft a RB, but I also want us to be active in FA to have at least two other legitimate backs in case Shady gets hurt and/or to spell him more frequently. The FA back doesnt need to be a world beater, but competency is required. Some FA: Rex Burkhead (probably resigned by NE) Dion Lewis (can NE afford both of these guys?) Damien Williams Orleans Darkwa Carlos Hyde Travaris Cadet (bring him back maybe) *I would guess whatever rookie RB we draft will have to contribute on special teams as well....Penny certainly does that with returning punts/kicks
  14. That is not at all how he compiles his rankings, he actually does the leg work, which makes him a better talent evaluator then other media pundits. My point was this: he is the best media talent evaluator out there, not necessarily a mocker, but talent evaluator so I tend to trust his thoughts on prospects more than others. BUT, he has a bad track record at the QB position
  15. why would not having an agent prevent teams from drafting him? This makes zero sense To those who point to Jackson not having great stats against "elite defenses" can look no further than the terrible offensive talent around Jackson the past two years....there was like 1 player from Louisvilles offense that was even drafted over the past two years. I dont see accuracy problems, not any more than any other college QB (or TT) coming out. If we dont go all in to trade up for Rosen/Mayfield/Darnold then I would be thrilled if we took Jackson at 21/22
  16. under your scenario, why not keep Glenn and move him to RT, thus solidifying your line without bringing in other iffy/questionable FAs? our best current o-line with our roster: Dawkins-Incognito-Groy/Draft/FA-Miller-Glenn
  17. good, they should, he sucks....but why do we, as Bills fans, care?
  18. It doesnt matter who the QB is that they take...but they need to take a QB this year (either pay for best FA or spend the draft capital to get your guy) because the QBs in next years draft look like warm vomit. Identify your guy and grab him this year, we cannot afford to wait... I dont know if it means trading up, standing pat and taking who is there or what...but it starts with identifying the RIGHT guy and doing what you think is necessary to get him.
  19. hopefully with a better offense we wont be always in the position of trying not to score....unless that truly is McD's way, which I am hoping is not. Yes I get he is a defensive coach, but there are plenty of defensive coaches who let their offenses rip. The issue is, you have to have a QB/offense that can actually move the ball and score without worry of losing the game...hopefully we get that in the next year or two
  20. This makes a lot of sense. HOWEVER, I don't want them wasting all of this years draft capital on drafting a QB IF THEY ARENT sold that he is the guy. And that may be the case in this draft, it also might not be. Only our FO will know if there is a guy worth selling the farm for, if there is, then by all means go get him. If they arent sold on a guy having IT, then keep building the roster through the draft. I know many want a QB at all costs in this draft, but there has to be a guy there worth taking (and having the opportunity to take him...someone has to want what we offer in trade to move out of a QB taking spot). It isnt just as easy as wanting it...you have to identify a guy (there isnt one in every draft), not just "the best guy of this bunch", but truly be sold on a guy having IT, and then be able to find a trade partner.
  21. it was more of an in jest comment...glad your on the up and up
