Zay Jones just impacted our draft
PaattMaann replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well I definitely would turn her down, I don't get the attraction, shes chubby with a weird face. Like ok, shes chesty...cool?? -
a bad trip can CERTAINLY make you think you can fly/"go fight with Jesus" bro, sorry you've never had bad good drugs
-
Either a bad trip (PCP, laced weed, synthetic weed, acid/mushrooms) or mental health issue...either way, no need to be cutting this young man from our football team LOL...crazy takes out there in the wake of this video. Disturbing, sad...but from all indications he is a class act kid. Wait until facts come out and move forward from there to help him/ensure it doesn't happen again (I am VERY confident that is what the Bills organization will do - you don't preach culture culture culture and then ditch a kid at the first sign of trouble).
-
what did he resign from? political office? sorry, couldn't resist Also saw on twitter and heard on the radio that he re-signed for vet minimum
-
at least were not alone lol

It will truly be a QB competition, between the rookie and AJ. AJ will get every opportunity to start, and depending on who the rookie is, so will he. If its a pro-ready guy, it'll be close. If its Josh Allen, likely we get a full season of AJ. AJ Chose the Bills because he saw it as his best opportunity to "just play ball". He doesn't want to sit, and he knows he will get a chance here if he plays well. As long as we get the rookie, this is a great upward looking QB situation (finally!)

ahhhh gotcha gotcha. And I agree with the absurdity of that statement. I disagree that we overpaid though. Pretty much the going rate for DTs. I understand people say "where are his stats, why is he worth that?" But then if you watch the games you see his impact. There is a real reason carolinas linebackers have been able to FEAST the past few seasons, and his name is Star. There are reasons they have been able to pressure the QB with rushing four, and his name is Star. I look forward to our linebackers (even if they are Lorenzo, Tanner and Milano lol) being able to do that as well. I look forward to our DEs being able to get sacks because our DT isnt being pushed around but holds his ground at the LOS so there isnt anywhere for the QB to step up to avoid the rush. As far as cap space goes, you can always find money to pay guys you want, alwaaayssss. Look at the Chiefs who were in cap hell, made a couple moves and then paid Sammy a billion dollars a season. Cap space is over rated. Star's contract wont prevent us from signing anyone we want to.

Yea I don't see that 3rd rounder coming back to the Bills, other than that....I truly think that deal gets it done. unless the Broncos or Jets are willing to give up several picks in this draft AND next years 1st rounder, they simply don't have the ammo we have, and we can overpay and STILL have a full draft this year and next. Good position to be in.

then why is he talking about lynch? And if he truly was referring to Dareus smoking pot vs. Murphy taking PEDs....well, I got nothing. Both are widely used by professional athletes, and they try not to get caught using them. One smokes pot because they like to feel stoned, one takes PEDs to try to gain a professional advantage? I still don't see any correlation he was trying to make, whatsoever.

you may want to check who is actually still available to sign lol And how do you know the Bills werent in on some of those players before they decided to sign elsewhere? And I am not necessarily saying some guys left arent better than what we have currently, but I AM saying they arent better than what we might have after the draft / cuts from other teams. Roster building is bigger than the first few days of free agency. And again, signing Star doesn't eliminate us from ANYTHING we want to do.

Who is your favorite free agent signing so far?
PaattMaann replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Davis. The cheap signing right out of the gate on a player that should be an impact starter across from White (if healthy all year) at a position that usually pays a premium, allowed us to budget a little more for Star/Murphy. -
Bills still have 7 major holes.

are you high? -
who the hell is lynch? are you talking about Marshawn Lynch? If so, what does he have to do with Trent Murphy at alllll?? Personally I loved Marshawn. He was notorious for being a douche when out downtown, just doing hood rat things with his friends. He was also a 23 year old kid who came from nothing and never knew how to act. He is a fun loving dude who gave his all on the field, I was sad to see him go but it made sense at the time given our RB situation. I don't recall him being "run out of town" lol (I do recall him running OVER a drunk canadian woman in his porsche though haha). Again, no clue why you are bringing him up. As far as Murphy, yea he is coming off an injury...its a physical game it happens. I am sure he medically checked out. Not to worry. As far as PED's, it is concerning because if he chooses to continue to use them and gets popped its a big suspension, I am hoping he is smarter than that, but you are right it is concerning. As far as calling him a "cheat", I personally wouldn't. A far larger portion of professional athletes than the general public knows regularly look for an edge using supplements. PED's don't mean the guy is bent over a table with a personal trainer sticking steroids in his a$$. They take things that are borderline banned substances to improve workout performance, sometimes they don't know what they are taking but trust their trainers to know what is on the banned list and which of these substances will get caught or not. Hate it all you want but it's reality.

I think you are underselling the amount of sacks Hughes lost because of this, honestly. You are 100% correct. Who cares about paying a guy a couple million more than "he's worth" (according to some posters here lol) because he doesn't put up stats. He immediately improves the play of everyone around him, that's his job. Trust The Process. While I wasn't the one who said "you gotta spend the money somewhere", I will address what you said after. Have you seen the FA pool for linebackers and OT's right now (or to start FA for the matter)? I think I would rather not pay ANY of them, anything, because they aren't better than what we currently have or can have in the draft. The only tackle worth taking a shot at was Hubbard, and Cleveland paid that man. Some immediate contributors will come from our draft this year and fill some of those holes. I do think we sign a C/G combo guy still, and likely a speed WR. We have plenty of money, after the Star deal, to sign whatever we so desire. There just isn't, and wasn't much out there in the FA market at some key positions of need for us.

more than 10 million after rookie allocation, especially after Richie Cog's just re-did his deal to lower the cap hit this year There's always money in the banana stand... To the OP's point - yea there are holes. We are coming from a talent devoid team of the past into the current FO vision, and Rome wasn't built in a day. Every team in the NFL has holes, and you have to live with not having great players at every spot. Trust The Process! -
any number of teams might trade up ahead of us if we wait, or take him at theirs (Jets, Broncos - they had 7 scouts/FO people at his pro day, Dolphins, Cardinals, Steelers)...basically anyone who needs a QB

Lost in QB buzz... No help at WR or TE

Exactly...best you can do is...what you can do. Beane has done a good job filling holes, and will continue to do so the best he can. "Rome wasn't built in a day" -
Additions you like to see from here on out?
PaattMaann replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
comp formula doesnt matter, we already signed more than we could have to get a comp pick...even if all the rest of our FA's sign big deals elsewhere -

could re-sign Matthews if the price is right A RT Maybe re-sign Preston Brown but I am not in love with him in this defense. Not re-signing him though makes drafting a starting LB a priority, which I don't love the idea of A speed WR C/G combo either in draft or FA -

I dont want our RG or RT from last year starting, personally. At least upgrade one of the two spots...and Groy is no lock, so maybe drafting or signing someone who is combo C/G will give us a little cover
