Are you embarrassed to wear Bills gear?

Absolutely proud. Anytime I travel I be sure to rock my Bills hats/shirts, and always find fellow fans along the way. -

I didn't say it was necessary, I said I wouldn't be totally shocked if they do draft one high. Beane/McD LOVE their CBs and definitely fall in the category of "you can never have too many great DB's". -

I would almost guarantee we draft a CB, and wouldn't be totally shocked if they draft one high. -
anyone saying trade Hughes needs to STFU, not even for a first. He is still a premier DE in the league, and not just a rusher. Stout against the run as well. If anything the Bills need to be extending him for a couple seasons. Can never have too many quality pass rushers, and as far as Hughes, he is the total package.

I think Morse will be a huge difference maker on the oline (provided he stays healthy, but that can be said of all NFL players). I'm talking HUGE difference. Generally I agree with your post. We upgraded talent and depth, probably no difference makers outside of Morse (Brown could be a game changer in the deep ball game I guess). I am super pleased with free agency, about as good as I could have wished for. There werent any real difference makers out there available, those are found in the draft almost exclusively. The "spend a lot" in free agency model is not sustainable, that is true. I know that is not the model Beane is going for, but we had a lot of holes this year and a lot of money, so he locked up some short term contracts of talent/depth while we had the money and at the same time not hurting ourselves going forward cap wise. As has been mentioned countless times, Beane wants to build through the draft and retain our own talent, nothing done in the past 48 hours has changed that. In future years (when we HAVE the talent and depth) I would look for us to be much less active in FA.

What is the exact time negotiations can begin?
PaattMaann replied to TheBeaneBandit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hes a fan like you and I, he does some media work for UB sports I think. He doesn't know any more than us. I think to give the tweet context he was just saying thats what he feels based on our connections to a bunch of different trade talks. I would say its more of his wish or thought than anything actually known. -

do you know how important sleep is to men over the age of 50? Tons of medical journals write about it constantly, these west coast GMs know this and don't want to die dude -

what his stats tell me is that he can run a fly route and get behind defenses...cool. Hasn't ever caught even 40 balls in a season? Always injured? No short burst agility? Passssssssssssssss

If The Bills Stay @ #9, Who Is Your Guy?

ask this again in a month, or more likely, on draft night we we know who is off the board already. As of now, BPA. -
Imagine this team with an elite te
PaattMaann replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Daboll wants to utilize TEs ala NE/Philly he just doesn't have the guys for it. All of his pedigree indicates he wants to use the TE. If we invest in the TE position via FA / draft I think we will see an offense here that DOES utilize the TE. I agree though I want a killer o-line, that opens up and improves the run and pass obviously. -
How does his LACK of production check the box for production? He literally has done nothing in his college career. I don't care if its because it was a bad offense, or his injuries, or him only running three different routes. Local beat reporters in Buffalo have done more in college than him. Hard pass on Metcalf, workout warrior, cool. Show me on the field, he has not.

if you believe the deal fell through because AB said he wouldnt play for the Bills no one knows why the deal didnt go through. We have Beane only saying publicly the deal didnt make sense for either side. There are lots of other rumors out there, including Brown refused to come to Buffalo, including the Bills couldnt get Brown to commit to coming to Buffalo (that could mean he wouldnt say one way or another). There are a lot of players who want to / have come to Buffalo. There are lots of players who come here and LOVE IT and are very public about it. Im not worried about this one bit. When FA starts, money talks and we will hopefully land our offensive linemen, THATS what really matters on this team.

then we can agree to disagree a top 5 defense and even an average offense has carried many a teams to the playoffs (our TT bills) and even super bowls. Signing two starters, and potentially real good ones at that, on the o-line, getting a superstar WR and having draft capital to upgrade pass rush/TE/WR/oline/RB and you think we arent a playoff team?? You either think you need superstars at every position to get into the playoffs or are smoking some real good stuff. All of it is moot anyway, I still think with a the above mentioned - minus superstar WR - we can be a playoff contending team next year. Having a real o-line fixes A LOT of offensive problems.
