  2. this is mcdermotts MO...he does it every week with whatever uni's they are wearing
  3. I don't think they are going to have much of a choice since it looks like he's not ready.
  4. going to a local farm to get some apples, fresh doughnuts, some beer....looking at some open houses, then sunday dinner with the family as usual. Will tune in to a few games here and there.
  5. We can and should win above 10 games and make the playoffs...anything else is gravy. Remember, we have a QB who is without a doubt a PROJECT QB that is just now entering his "2nd year" when it comes to starts in the NFL. He is no where near a finished product, and played all of last year with the cupboards bare around him on offense. The fact that he wasnt completely RUINED by having to play at all with that bum squad last year is a miracle in itself, and a testament to his ability and character. This year he has a completely new offense around him, and the scheme and plays have altered as well to fit the new talent level. It is no surprise we aren't lighting up scoreboards. That might happen in a few games this year as he limits turnovers and the rest of the offense limits their drive killing mistakes. Our offense right now is better than the Ravens offense that won the superbowl in 2000. Different eras, different teams, different situations, but you can still win a superbowl with lights out defense and an OK offense (and vice versa). I think this offense will 100% improve throughout the season, we are still yet halfway through the season. The offense has so much potential, and it is going to be a collective effort to clean up the mistakes NO DOUBT, but Josh will be the determining factor in how far we go. I have faith in Josh. This team will make the playoffs and then anything can happen, home or away. (as far as the schedule in 2020, we get the Chiefs/Seahawks/Rams at home, so thats good...we travel out west but its to face the Raiders and Cardinals and Chargers...not really the hardest road trips out west. And the NFL is so up and down every year who knows. Its foolish to look ahead and say "this has to be our year because next years schedule is tough".)
  6. your hopes were not realized....but boy I was rooting for Brady to be knocked out, thought he was on the sack/fumble too. Would have been excellent...but alas, I survive in the pool Ravens this week? Yea I was going back and forth between Ravens or NE...went with the slam dunk, I hate going division games like Ravens Bengals this week (even when its slanted one side) because anything can happen in division games. Good luck. I wanted to save the Pats for next week, so I didn't have to use the 49ers. But now I will be surely picking the 49ers against the Skins next week.
  7. ahhh yea, gotta meet up and caravan in together, thats what we do. And I never have problems getting out quickly, but I also jog to my car post game and get out. Never wait or hit traffic, just gotta be committed.
  8. I was just giving you a hard time mostly...and yea I have, and always will park on the same side of the stadium you have. I just go into the official Bills lot, Lot 5 for life baby! Thats why I know about the Grass lot (mud lot to you)
  9. thats the grass lot brah (which yes, anytime theres rain or snow it turns into mud)
  10. seeing a building and eating a food are incredibly different experiences, and not even comparable
  11. def. go to Duffs over anchor bar 100 times out of 10
  12. Personally need the Patriots to win, picked them (finally) in my survivor pool...
  13. Jack had a really really good game last night. But he needs to stop getting mugged/giving the puck away. He got beat up at the blue line in our offensive side again last night and they skated right down and scored on us....its happened in almost every game. Love the offense, but take care of the puck Cap.
  14. except the football we have available to watch lol...sunday morning game is nice, after that, I think ill be tuning out
  15. McKenzie can burn, Foster is fast (but hurt), Beasley is quick....I wouldnt say we have a slow offense. And many many many successful offenses dont have a ton of speed, we have more than enough to be successful
  16. Good point....but maybe we saw how that worked out for us and he is changing his approach/philosophy. Growth mindset baby! We will see how the game approach changes after the bye when Devins back, but I do truly believe we have been going pass heavy due to the limited RB stable. McKenzie can be used in other ways in the pass and run game too...doesnt just have to be the motion hand off or toss, I believe thats what the poster was intimating
  17. We disagree on what smart football is...Josh Allen is more than good enough to be asked to do what even average QBs can do. We would ask him to do it if the game was on the line in the 4th quarter, he can be asked to do it with 40 seconds left in a half. Smart football is using extra possession to score points. The risk is MINIMAL with where we had the ball, how much time we had left and TOs, how many TOs the titans had left and with our stellar defense smothering the titans offense all first half. Its not just what I want, its what other teams regularly do. And spare me the "we arent there yet", yes we are.
  18. I do agree that it makes you question the decision to keep Yeldon over Shady ($$$$ probably) or some other RB like Murphy. My guess is they like his pass catching ability (when all three RBs are healthy and active) and special teams ability. You can never fully prepare for injuries at EVERY position, and I think Beane has done a pretty damn great job with roster construction. So if this is our area of weakness during injury then so be it... Gore doesnt need to be kept fresh just because hes old, he needs to be kept fresh because hes the only true RB with Devin out.
  19. Nope, hate that. We are good enough to move the ball 30-40 yards to get into FG range. Thats loser mentality. (not you, from coach McD) And for whats its worth I think they were prepared to push the ball down the field but McKenzie screwed up and got the penalty, and then the first play screen didnt go anywhere so they just licked their wounds and left the field. Call the TO, go for a downfield pass and see what happens.
  20. MOST IMPORTANTLY, it will allow us to establish a run game early since we wont be concerned with keeping Frank the Tank fresh for the fourth quarter...cannot wait for that.
  21. Unless its going into halftime, then we just sit on our thumbs... Seriously. 45 seconds, one of the strongest arms in the league, a good kicker and 3 TOs and we decide to just go into halftime??? I don't care that we took a penalty to start that drive, its 5 yards, that shouldnt dictate or change the desire to go get a FG right before half....
  22. Devin Singletary. Once he is back, we will run the ball more earlier in the game, which will open everything up throughout the game. We wont have to show some pass plays that we have had to show early. Coaches wanna keep Frank fresh for the 2nd half, so we are going pass heavy to begin. With Devin back, we can spread the rock around and pound early.
  23. A couple of things: I think we see a kind of pass heavy opening so far this season because we only have one RB that the team trusts to tote the rock, and they don't want him to be worn out in the 4th quarter (which worked out GREAT today because a fresh Gore rammed the ball down their throat to seal the deal)...once we get Singletary back I think we will be a bit more "balanced" with pass to run ratio. (39 called pass plays to 27 rushes, six of those runs coming in the last 4 minutes). Cody Ford needs to figure out his footwork on speed rushes....he is getting ROASTED and its gonna get Josh Killed (already has), and the solution CAN'T be to give him Lee Smith as help because he has struggled in pass pro so far this season too. Once we establish the run early (when we have Singletary back after the bye) I think everything in the passing game will open, and our 3rd quarter woes will be easier to overcome. That HAS been the biggest concern so far in the early part of the season. GO FREAKIN BILLS!!!! 4-1 about to be 5-1 with a huge showdown with the Eagles at home. LETS F'ING GO!
