  1. my man pat hammer said showers would taper off in the afternoon, and were days away from sunday. Im betting the showers get here earlier saturday evening than expected and we only see some rain during tailgate. I gots my positive thinking shoes on.
  2. first bad weather game of the season. And hopefully it is done and over by kick off. So just us tailgaters will have to suffer through some wet drinking conditions. Oh well.
  3. people mentioning Ertz left and right, but BOTH tight ends can be a real problem for us. Goedert is a really good TE and would likely be TE 1 for most of the NFL (including us). Their TEs have me worried more than anything in this game. They run a lot of 2 TE sets. Hoping Leslie has something in store to solve this problem, even IF Milano plays (gonna be wet, will they risk him like they havent others this year in these conditions?) we will have our hands full containing their TEs.
  4. yea all those individual drills Milano is doing are fulllll speed and impactful. I can't imagine he wont be ready to rock and roll Sunday based on what hes doing, and how he looks doing it today. Maybe I am just overly hopeful. I know we have been SUPER cautious all year with guys injuries but I'd say have him give it a go and if he rehurts himself then sit him until Thanksgiving.
  5. its like a ghetto way to say Lets Go, you say it real fast
  6. I would think its not a negative?
  7. Darby playing is a good thing lol, he has been trash
  8. yea thats what I thought...thanks Key to the game could likely be how the front four of each team does (and the other teams offensive line)
  9. schwartz doesnt usually blitz though with his 9 wide D does he?
  10. definitely thread worthy sentence
  11. from my untrained eye, Maurice sucked and id prefer to never see him play anywhere near that amount of snaps again
  12. Great points. Fitz is good inside the pocket and consistently avoided the outside pressure by stepping up and around. It was frustrating to see for sure, hopefully we start seeing our pressure get home on sunday. Might be the day we see some more blitzing (were not ever going to be a blitz heavy team). Might also depend on if Milano is healthy and playing or not. I like some safety blitzes here and there to try and rattle Wentz. As far as Josh goes, as mentioned before, he hasnt needed to air it out for us to win. That might not be needed Sunday either, depending on if our D keeps the Eagles in check. If its low scoring, itll be a "dont lose the game" performance from Josh, expect that all season. If the Eagles start scoring TDs and were playing from behind, I would expect to see Josh take chances, for better or worse. Thats the offensive strategy. Keep the game close and find a way to win. The team seems to be comfortable playing in those situations.
  13. that could be, ill wait to look at the all 22 though so we can see for sure
  14. Miami has been in almost every game until after halftime, havent they?
  15. yea Ford likely played his best game yesterday at RT, competition level likely helped contribute to that
  16. interesting take, Morse has been pretty damn solid all season. He missed a couple guys yesterday on blitz pickups, but its unclear if it was truly him or the guard, we will have to wait for the all 22 break downs likely. There was a play early on, I think first drive, where he drove his guy 8 yards downfield on a run and finished it off by pancaking him onto his back. You arent watching if you dont think hes been a difference maker.
  17. we might be catching the eagles at a good time. I know they just lost two big games and SHOULD come out angry and hungry. But they are bickering among themselves, are a disaster in their back 7 on D, and can be had. We need some pressure to get home against Wentz and lock up their TEs, bracket coverage, slam them at the line, etc....A little adversity early on and they might just fold it up or actually fight each other on the sidelines. Lots of reports of the WRs being not happy with Wentz, the offense hates the defense, players are late or missing meetings with no punishment. Bad times in Philly, hopefully we come out strong out of the gate.
  18. hmmm....I will have to disagree. At least about having a problem with Josh all the sudden after yesterday. He missed two deep balls, but had a slew of other great throws (the touch pass to duke, the TD to Brown, the brown throw across the field, the throw to knox that was dropped as examples). Josh did not appear to be the problem with the offense. Dropped passes, missed assignments and untimely penalties have continued to stall our offensive drives inside enemy territory and THAT is very concerning. We need to figure out a way to continue to execute, which to be fair we did on the drive that started in 3rd quarter and ended in the 4th. I have very little problems with the way Josh played today, aside from missing those deep throws. WHY CANT HE HIT THOSE????? Is it a total shook confidence thing now?
  19. disagree, thats the PERFECT situation to use that play. Not two safeties deep, catches the D off guard and the play was WIDE OPEN, Josh just missed it (yet again on the deep throws). No problem with THAT play call, players have to execute. I didn't like Dabolls first half play calling by and large, but it does come down to players not executing. Knox doesnt drop that ball and the entire outcome of the game is different. Our offense keeps shooting ourselves in the foot, and not much of it has been on Josh.
  20. maybe, but Sal Cap said this morning on WGR that Brown was just tight two days ago, and he was limited yesterday due to field conditions...
  21. Kroft with a K is practicing but thats all we know
  22. yes I would bet my life savings on 49ers over Redskins this week, thats the slam dunk pick of the week for me, thats the win im choosing for survivor UNLESS I take the Jags over the Bengals in a super risky move. thats the game im looking for the info on, will the Jags for sure handle the Bengals? i have zero doubts the 49ers will dominate the Redskins, dont care about Jimmy G one bit, their D is playing phenomenal and they run the ball at will (missing both starting tackles and both might play this week) against a very bad Skins team so...will the Jags beat the Bengals?
  23. ok..........but this doesnt help me in my quest to choose between the 49ers over Skins or Jags over Bengals lol
  24. You nail it right here! There will def. still be parking lot tailgating and LOTS OF IT, there will be entreprenuers our there like Hammer who already own or will own parking lots and make money off tailgaters. And then there will be a vibrant bar tailgate scene, thats how it is in Green Bay (I tailgated in lot there last year AND did a buffet/open bar at a distillery out there, super fun). Dont forget Pressure Drop bro, worth a tailgate stop! Maybe even ballyhoo if they are serving up that mac n cheese pre game!
  25. in another survivor pool...the slam dunk pick this week is the 49ers over the Redskins, BUT, If I take the Jags over the Bengals it gives me flexibility with the 49ers down the road....someone talk to me about the Jags over the Bengals please...
