Is the Bills window smaller than thought?
PaattMaann replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure if someone wins 2.8 million in a lottery, its life changing money, but 2.8 million spread over a lifetime of earning is NOT a lot of money, regardless of how rich and out of touch with reality I am. Thats the point. We tend to think, "boy, Id play in the NFL for league minimum and be FINE!" Sure. If you got to play for 20 years. These guys dont. They need to make as much money as possible -

700,000 a year for 4 years (average NFL career) isnt life changing money. These guys want to set up their families for generations, not just live in a nice medium sized house in a quaint neighborhood. There wont be any team friendly deals (maybe SLIGHTLY, but Josh will be getting paid money that really hampers the team building ability). QBs get PAID. Period. -

I know itll never happen with a young QB getting his first "pay me"/life changing money, but it would be great to see Josh do an ole' Tom Brady and take less so the team can be built around him. Not hating on guys getting paid at all, short window to make all you can while you can. Just commenting it would be nice lol -
Week 9 Around the League
PaattMaann replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
picked the patriots in my survivor pool, so really rooting for the Pats tonight -
would be great to see Hyde return this week. Still in protocol and limited today...cant tell if thats a good or bad sign. I highly doubt we get Mitch back so im happy to see Ford at least back limited today.

I was pretty livid during the game and directly after the game, because we almost let a very bad team beat us. Then I calmed down after the game when I realized all of your above points.
-
yea we will agree to disagree about your first statement. As far as the second, you have valid concerns about the amount of TD passes the last 4 weeks. I would say there are a lot of factors that have went into that (weather, game plan, three TD passes being dropped, defenses adjusting for sure) aside from just "Allens regression". I dont think it was the coaching staff not having a clue how to change their gameplan though. But we will certainly find out over the next few games.

NFL Trade Deadline Primer update on page 15

for everyone -
I am just wondering what kind of sad life one leads that forces them to come onto anonymous football team message boards to talk this kinda crap lol. Like, how pathetic do you have to be to get your jollies from doing this? lol I just feel bad for this guy. I know life can get really stale in moms basement, but like....try video games?

boy this post makes it obvious you have no clue what you are watching on Sundays
-
yes, but I said nothing about the wind. I was referring to the rain. Wind is overrated when it comes to effecting the passing game, especially with Josh's arm.
-
im quite convinced we WILL throw the football (unless its a downpour, which its not supposed to be - and even then I think we throw). We are a passing offense. Period.
-
No Gilmore, No Harry and No Davis....not that we need them to be down guys since we are vastly more talented. But thats some good news.

I cant parlay, in a year long bet against the spread (can choose up to 3 games a week) league. Either bet the spread or pick the over/under. So should I bet heavy on the Rams?
-
baltimore is no slouch, and had the bye week to prepare, and its baltimore. I am leaning towards betting on Pitt but those are my concerns. Talk to me about your thoughts on Rams -3.5 vs dolphins....
-
that doesn't fit his narrative though brah.

The wife and I were on team no kids for the first 8 years of our marriage. We went out all the time. We traveled. We lived the good life. We agreed kids likely weren't for us, but if one of us wanted kids they should bring it up to the other. She came to me a year ago and said she wanted to have kids. I said OK. Our son was born at the beginning of April. Coming from not wanting kids (not a hater of kids, knew I would be a good dad if I became one, just really enjoyed our free time and lives as they were) to having one - it is incredible and there is NOTHING that anyone can say to you that will prepare you for how your feeling about everything change literally the second you meet your child. Be prepared for lack of sleep - our son has always been a great sleeper but there is still lack of sleep, (for example, sometimes I just wake up in the night and cant fall asleep for not reason, that never used to happen.) Be prepared to be very emotional about things, its not just women. Enjoy every second of the ride. Enjoy these next 6 months because everything will be very different. Congratulations. Being a dad is the most satisfying and stressful experience one can have.

I do like that we at least have to practice in the rain today if were gonna be playing in it sunday. Maybe McD can bring out a sprinkler (or practice in the field house and turn on the fire sprinklers) for tomorrows practice.
-
Buffalo Rumblings tweeted that Hyde would need two consecutive days of practice in order to clear protocol, and hes not practicing today so he is OUT for sunday.
-
Zimmer, Phillips and thats it Which is why im hopeful Butler/Jefferson will play, otherwise id guess we would have made a move?
-
lots of no practicing still - Cody Ford, Jefferson and Butler, Norman...hyde on the bike. Dont love it
