  1. A) we have no idea what the weather will be like either Saturday or Sunday B) we have no idea what the weather will be like either Saturday or Sunday
  2. Wait so your saying the Colts were NOT perfect and finished every drive with TD's? What a shock!!!! They missed crucial conversions like ALL TEAMS do? What a shock!!! Yea it was definitely all the colts mistakes, not the bills having any influence. LOL. no team plays perfect all game long and thats part of football. Defense did a really good job executing the gameplan for 3 quarters. You can disagree, but I know what I saw. Classic bend but dont break. I do have a problem with our 3rd down defense against the Colts, but we've been pretty good on 3rd down all year, so it doesnt concern me. I'm not saying we have the 85 Bears defense here, but I do think our defense had a turnaround this season is playing some really good football, and we are really good at doing exactly what we gameplan for - taking away opponents strengths. That is obviously the run game with the Ravens so I expect a solid gameplan and day from the defense. That is literally impossible to tell on an online message board without using any crucial "joke" or "sarcasm" comment. Sorry for taking it exactly like I read it.
  3. what a dumb comment I dont need to defend them, because I am sure if your anywhere near informed (which I assume you are because you are on this message board), but I will anyway. they have literally been dancing ALL YEAR LONG. There is zero correlation between them dancing during practice and their focus preparing for a game, unless that correlation is that they are dialed in and loving practice. They danced all week before the dolphins in week 17, how did that turn out? They danced all week for the previous 16 games before that, how did those turn out? Seriously a dumb comment, im sure you are better than that.
  4. Gave up 10 points through 3 quarters. Held a guy who runs all over teams the last half of the season to like 3.5 ypc on over 20 attempts. Indy got a bunch of yards after we went into a prevent D (soft cover 2 zone) when we went up 24-10, and they ripped off a few big runs because we gave it to them. We had a two possession lead until 6 minutes left - and a huge communication breakdown led to their get close TD by their TE. Im sorry but I dont think our defense had a bad game. Even for all of our 3rd down trouble. I would say we should have never went into that soft zone when we went up two scores, but that was a coaching call and not on our players. They played a really good team, really tough for 3 quarters. Some of ya'll are a trip.
  5. IF they go man, I could see them using Leonard as a spy/late blitzer. Im not arguing that is in their best interest, but I could see that being a plan.
  6. Oh no doubt I agree about the quantity, but I expect 1 or 2 in the first 2 drives so the D has to account for it. About the blockers in the Houston game, This year aint last year.
  7. Leonard is fast, i agree, but thats also why you got these guys in front of allen called blockers. Their job is to use their body to stop leonard from tackling Josh. You think we havent ran Josh this season against guys just as talented as Leonard? We have, and I will guarantee we do on Saturday. Its part of the offense.
  8. I agree he can do way more damage via the air than with his feet, but its something you do to keep defenses looking for it/planning for it.
  9. keepin it 100 luckily we wont see that type of offense until the AFC Championship game.
  10. And we didnt lose to Tenn because they gashed us on the ground (turnovers and we were down ALL OF OUR CBs)
  11. I really really want to see a couple "easy" plays to start off our first offensive series. Shovel pass to McKenzie off a motion, student body right run play QB keeper, WR screen to get Josh going and comfortable. Slightly worried about Sugar Rush Josh in front of the Mafia for the first time this season. It's not like I think his early play could lose us the game, but I just wanna see Dab's settle him in with a couple easy makers, and especially give Josh a run to let him get hit and settle down (by his own admission this helps him get into the flow).
  12. I mean this is SO TRUE. I remember literally all of those moments. Who doesnt remember Bellycheat throwing the phone, but the Saleh look on the sidelines is one of my top moments of the season. The hot "it" coordinator with this great D just getting picked apart by Josh's offense lol. Awesome. Yea I know the Colts will drop guys into coverage with their soft zone - I think they run more cover 3 than traditional cover 2, no?? - but I don't think that will change anything for us offensively. We won't start seeing tons of Moss/Singletary, if anything, Josh will take what the D gives him passing and with his legs and march us up the field like we have seen time and time again. What do you do? Stunts and blitz one, send 5, and have to get home. Good luck though, our pass pro has been on point.
  13. Absolutely GREAT scheme by Daboll here, and just as good of a recognition and audible based on the coverage by Josh here to call McKenzie in to block....awesome. Glad he took the shot to Brown, also noted though, diggs on the bottom comes wide open as an outlet too....so good.
  14. Yea honestly im kind of surprised to see posters here that I know to be knowledgeable and reasonable guys who are essentially arguing "travel doesn't matter". Its not just the time that goes into travel or "jet lag". Its break of your environment. Travel time being minimal, there is still a loss of structure or routine. Your in a hotel, not in your house with your family and your things. You aren't in your bed, you might not sleep as well. This year you are sitting in your room and watching TV, snoozing. You get up and eat hotel breakfast in the ballroom, separated from your teammates by tables or glass dividers. You either go back to your room and nap depending on game time, or you hop on the bus to go the stadium at a different time than you personally might if it was at home (guys show up to stadiums at home at different times, usually on the road you get two offerings). Nothing here is guaranteeing you play bad or lose, but its all added "differences" from your normal daily routine, and in a game of inches, ANY coach in the world would choose to play at home and minimize the "differences".
  15. Read this and literally got chills the entire time. Wow. Wow. Wow. Has there ever been a more deserving team to win a super bowl? Like honestly? The universe HAS to reward this season with a super bowl win. Love his take on Diggs and Josh.
  16. good thing he isnt suiting up then.
  17. Last years wildcard round games were all close. Overall there were several blow outs last year, two 17 point games, a 16 point game, a 20 point game....so half the games in last year alone were blow outs. I do agree I guess that there is a higher chance at a close game than a blow out.
  18. They love running a power run look to the right but then pitching to Taylor going left/weakside...their backup LT did a good job run blocking yesterday. Costanzo out and Veldheer in is a big loss for the Colts. When Costanzo first got hurt a few weeks ago, I Read an article that had some kind of incredible stat in it, that since he was drafted, in games Costanzo didnt play due to injury, the offensive numbers for the colts dropped DRASTICALLY, as well as wins. Man I'm gonna see if I can find the stat. I do remember that in the game he got injured in, I think it was the Titans game, The colts went 0-8 on successful drives the rest of the game. He was hugely important to their offensive success.
  19. oh ok, I just wasn't sure which way you were going with that. Yea playoff games do tend to be close, because well obviously its usually hard to get into the playoffs and the level of parity rises. That kind of goes with the territory.
  20. I am not sure if you are suggesting this or not, but I am taking this like "the bills have been great on offense but dont be surprised if they go kind of conservative because thats what happens in the playoffs"...which, if that is what you are expecting, you are INSANE! This offense will be pedal to the metal, full throttle, unleashed. This is our teams identity, that is Josh's identity now. I fully expect them to throw the ball all around the yard and put up points, like they have all year. This better be what we see them attempt to do, its what we do!
  21. I will be in the house. Ive had seasons for 15 years, but name switched 7 years ago to my wifes account....reasons are not remembered but often cried about My wifes company is a corporate sponsor of the Bills and Sabres and they came through and got us tickets, section 133. I am beyond thrilled, will be the loudest MF'er in that building. It is going to be insane.
  22. from Banged Up Bills on Twitter: (full disclosure I didnt read this thread at all, just sharing knowledge, if someone already posted this earlier just disregard) 1 of 2 possible scenarios: 1- contusion, will be fine for first playoff game 2- meniscus, can be played through with pain tolerance (Kelvin Benjamin a couple years ago) and thats worst case scenario
  23. it was, but no fair since it was reported half hour ago that it was their strength coach. you get no points because you could have cheated.
