  1. i kind of agree that an attacking, tough 4-3 can be just as good as a 3-4, but we are miles away from being an attacking, tough 4-3 (just as we are miles away from being a good 3-4 D)....Williams and stroud can be fine as DE's in a 3-4 or one of them could try to tackle the NT spot (probably Williams, with S. Johnson as the other DE)....poz could finally move to his REAL LB spot- outside...draft McClain no matter what D becasue we need a REAL (ray lewis type) Mid linebacker, regardless of scheme
  2. yes the bills are certainly one of the 8-12 teams who draw from that revenue sharing...this is GREAT news for the bills, for the time being
  3. our d is a strength of this team, in fact we have so many of them that two are regularly scratched...we need a goal scorer. period. We need St Louie and i thought he was going to be available via trade, both him and vinny lecavlier, i would part with stafford and gerbe and another prospect for st louie...thats goals that we need
  4. stroud has been bad here? hmm, we must be watching different football games then
  5. AMEN TO THAT! thank you on all points....and a smart FOOTBALL post that you were correct in posting BEFORE this does turn into another morality battle (vick killed puppies!)...all that nonsense, he is a vast improvement over our current QBs and would cost us very little to do...makes sense to me
  6. of course ticket sales would increase ya dope! like the other poster said, it is a genious marketing move, will sucker fans into buying season tickets again (possibly me included) just like TO did last year...for those out there that think his dog killing actions will push fans away are crazy, look at philly, even they increased their ticket sales and actually GAINED sponsors...bring him onnnnnnnnn....that way we might actually win more than 5 games
  7. dont forget "The Quiet Killer" Marvin Harrison all vick did was drown some pooches...bring him in....BIG UPGRADE and we dont have to waste a draft pick this year on a mediocre QB
  8. you mean im dreaming all this? ****, that means im going to wake up soon and have to go to work and start my day all over again? bummmmerr.....
  9. hahahahaha, this is classic....im actually making a word document so that I can look back on this in a few months and get another good laugh out of it...keep it comin man, please hahahaha internet tough guys=better than pants on the ground?
  10. why would ANY of those coaches leave their respected, high ranking schools where they are treating like kings (and payed like kings as well) leave those DC jobs for the same title and job with a poor NFL team? People are here treat college like its a grooming ground for NFL...yes that is true, but for the PLAYERS, not the coaches... Both Bradley and Smart turned down NFL interviews last year for HEAD COACHING positions...this tells me they are quite comfortable in the college ranks and where they are at Any of those men would be downgrading their positions by taking the bills DC job....and im not even necessarily bad mouthing the bills...just that they are in superior positions and would even have to take a pay cut to come coach the bills...not happening
  11. then you obviously dont watch too many texans games eh? Andre Johnson is without a shadow of a doubt the single best YAC WR in football, and has been for three years now but yes I concur aboot dansby
  12. Well, I think Stroud could handle the nose duties, hes a mammoth and yes he is used to penetrating offensive lines rather than plug space, I think it would be fine for him to switch his style with no ill effects and 3-4 defenses dont have "burners" at DE that force offenses to keep extra blockers in, ends in the 3-4 are usually just big bodies that push around the o-line and let edge rushers ie. linebackers, safeties and corners, to rush the passer...see richard seymour in NE in the past
  13. Butler has started WAYYYYYYYYY more than 3 games at RT haha
  14. definately, down with ellison, I want him off of this team more than any other "player" on this bum squad...no more safety/linebackers PLEASE
  15. then you and I were watching a different center play football this year...Hangman was better than decent at center, especially after Wood went down, he was left on an island a lot more in the middle with some tough nose and d-tackles and he more than held his own....Hang and Levitre were the only bright spots after wood went down bro
  16. I couldnt agree more...I think last years draft solidified our inside line for years to come, providing that wood does come back 100 percent-and all indications are that he will, and if hangartner plays for another 4 years...I can live with a mediocre RT if we can somehow land a franchise left tackle....and that is a huge IF though you are correct....if we could somehow get McNeil from the chargers, that allows our draft to be BPA for sure....frees us up to take McClain (i pray every night for him to fall to us) or any other DT that is still around....main point, gives us flexibility and options...but we may hav eto use that number 9 pick on a LT, which isnt the worst thing in the world
  17. you mean Meatloaf?
  18. ralph has never stated he is selling the team to the highest bidder upon his death
  19. I was pretty sure Roger Goodell said, might have even been at last years HOF ceremony, that it was in the NFLs best interest to keep the Bills in Buffalo, and that they will be in Buffalo...Im not to worried, its not like ralphie is gonna die and everyones gonna be like "Oh ****, what do we do with the bills now"?
  20. i dont know who would make that trade with us, but i would be fine with doing that as long as we could somehow get McClain at number 9...but i can assure you arthur jones wont be around in rounds 4 or 5, even thinking hes there in the third is wishful thinking
  21. I dont understand all of the people who think the bills WONT do this move because they are run (kind of) by a marketing "guru"....philadelphia proved that a team can sign vick and not lose its loyal fan base/endorsements/season ticket sales... In fact, I think its the other way around...if this orgnaization dosent take a shot at either a name, a proven talent or a hot QB season tickets will plummet....they signed a retread old coach instead of building excitement with a name, you know Brandon is aware of this and will be looking to make some type of move that puts butts in the seats.... Because I, like some of you are posting about if we DO sign Vick you wont support the team, will not be purchasing season tickets next season unless we DO sign vick-or a comparable QB along with some other talent to this team....So for Brandon, he knows he needs to do something to sell tickets, and hiring Chan Gailey was NOT the move to sell tickets
  22. finally someone actually respons with the negatives rather than just "he killed dogs" haha....great post on his negatives... and you are absolutely correct about having to adapt an offense to fit him....howver, to me, that is where the strength of this move lies...Gailey is remarkable at tailoring his offenses to fit his personnel, and he had great success with QBs with similar skills as Vick in Thigpen and Slash Stewert.... My reasons for wanting to add Vick is to give him a shot to win the QB job, keep fitzy or edwards or both, but bring in someone to compete and probably win that starting job....his problems and negatives are also both of their problems and negatives (not reading defenses and making poor throws) so why not bring in someone with playmaking ability? As far as getting McNabb, not happening, as much as liESPN wants to talka bout it, Reid aint givin up McNabb...and they arent going to get rid of Kolb either, he is their future....that makes Vick odd man out and thus, on the trading block...
  23. I really could not have said that better myself haha...so I just second that sentiment Why not take a "risk" on what some believe was one of the most dynamic players to play the QB position....and it is very unfortunate that we cant have civilized discussions about bringing in Vick because peeople just attack his character...character dosent win football games, talent does ( and an argument can probably be made that character guys lose you football games...just look at the bills and all the "character guys" we have been going after and bringing in the past 10 years and our lack of success....) WE NEED TALENT
  24. im not saying its ok to torture and kill animals, im saying of all crimes committed by NFL athletes, this is dam near petty....and he has served his federal mandated punishment...sorry if you guys all feel you are above the constitution, the courts, the law and the government, but they say his debt to society is paid and i more than agree again though, all of this useless babble detracts from the OP about why it is or isnt a good idea to bring in Vick to play QB for the bills, not whether killing animals is ok, its just that most posters on here are too blinded by the killing of dogs to actual post useful responses i know that when we trade for vick or sign him if hes cut, me and my kitten will be meeting him at the airport in our matching Vick buffalo number 7's
  25. hahaha, exactly...thats what im saying...its quite alrite to kill humans but dont you dare hurt my poodle! get over it peeps...happened, happens alot, he paid his price.... im worrying about a lack of talent on this team, a lack of a true signal caller since 1996, Vick fits a need that I see....and we will not have to pay him 5 mill a season at least for the first
