  1. i have to STRONGLY dissagree about Geno Smith probably being drafted before Cam Newton, lol...what on EARTH would make you think that? Smith is MAYBE a more accurate passer (he also has two pretty amazing and exciting weapons at WV that did a LOT of YAC'ing for him in Bailey and Austin - cam never had that)
  2. wait wait wait....Te'o number 1 overall??????????????????? dont get me wrong, I reallllyyy like the guy....but number 1 overall????????????? and here I thought you fancied yourself a draft guru....
  3. boom, you just got SERVED
  4. do you think the customer still had to pay for his lap dance? and if so...do you think he tipped well?
  5. taking pictures is an art form....lol
  6. why on earth would you come on here and admit to liking sea breezes with fruity ass lemons in them? : )
  7. i like the guy but I think this year he greatly benefited from awesome rookie QB play and chuck pagano sickness
  8. yea we opted to NOT rent a car, but we do have a friend who lives in the city who has said we may use her car if shes not using it - but we are trying to avoid borrowing her car, but thanks for the suggestion!
  9. cool, cool, cool....good **** guys, thanks! NoSaint - are you a bloody mary fan?
  10. anyone care to summarize for those of us who cant listen at work? (or those who dont want to take the time to listen but would rather read a recap?)
  11. thanks No Saint, your input is GREATLY appreciated couple more items if I may: - whats standard cab fare in the area? Im wondering mostly how much you think a cab would be from the bourbon st. area to Lakewood Country Club - which is a 9 mile (18 min) drive according to google maps.... - is the zoo worth checking out? dont know how familiar you with other zoos and how comparable the New Orleans one is.... - whats the best PO-BOY spot in town? love me some fried shrimp - thanks for the music suggestions, will def. be checking out dba one of the nights...are any places down there known for new rock acts off the top of your head? and lastly - is a swamp tour worth it? and do you know of any good ones?
  12. bringing back up an old topic because our trip is in three weeks...so anyone with advice please drop in....(especially NoSaint haha) planning on: - a nice meal at either Bayonna, Domenica or Cochon (anyone have any experiences here?) - planning on catching some awesome live music every night we are there (saturday, sunday and monday nights) - will def. be doing Pat O's piano bar one of those night just because we have to...but probably looking to do Frenchman st. bars the other nights - any suggestions on best ones? - def doing Cafe Du Monde one morning/afternoon - thinking about brunch uptown at Patois but could be swayed to somewhere else (if we go uptown for brunch is there anything else to do in that area or what?) - what kind of activities should we do during the day other than just walk around french quarter/bourbon st. area - MIGHT bring the clubs and golf at Lakewood country club, MIGHT.... any other suggestions would be great! Thanks!!
  13. no im saying he interviewed for that job, not saying it was offered to him, just that he was a "finalist" and as Buddy just said in the press conference when asked, "why are you confident Whaley will stick around if hes offered a GM job", Buddy said "well im confident because he has turned them down before" ya know the saying, where there is smoke, there is fire? seems like lots of people talk about and like Whaley, and im guessing its not because he has a firm hand shake and a nice hair cut...
  14. because every refutable source boasts how he is "widely respected around the league", because he was sought after for GM positions by Colts and Chiefs, because he was with Pittsburgh and learned from the best, because the plan all along has been for Buddy to be the GM bridge to Whaley, because I dont think that this "regime" (including Nix and Whaley) has been terrible what so ever....we havent had any Mike Williams or JP Losmans, we have more talent on this roster than when Nix/Whaley arrived - especially via the FA side of things that Whaley was supposedly in charge of Not every GM/regime is going to hit on 100 percent of their draft picks, there is NO ONE (not even the legendary Bill Polian for some of you) who has ever, or will ever do that...the idea is, you do your due diligence, and pick the best player at the time when your name comes up....I firmly believe we have done that - the worst draft by Nix/Whaley was when we drafted to try and fill 3-4 switch needs...and even then it looks like they may have "hit" on Carrington....yes we have not drafted our QB but that has more to do with Chan's love for Fitz and Buddys love for Chan...all of which are gone.... Im more than excited to have "more of the same" from the personnel people at OBD....
  15. of course he was at the game, he had to stop in to sign the ownership papes
  16. just came in to 2nd, faith hills legs!!!! mmmmmmm
  17. sam adams is in the "upper tier"??? ew
  18. hahahahaha, excellent...
  19. correct, and thats what buff news has been reporting since 820 this morning....and its a ONE TIME get outta jail free card at the 7 year mark, if they dont leave then, they have to fulfill final years on lease....
  20. why arent you people referring to the BUFFALO NEWS article rather than some hack AM station??
  21. thats the way I read it as well, at the 7 year mark, they can opt out, or fulfull the remaining 3 years... any way ya slice it...im happy (but I guess that means Im stuck with the Bills for a while haha) lol, shut up
  22. of course bills fans would be crying about this 7 year clause....so think of it like a 7 year lease instead of a 10 year lease, any way you slice it, gauranteed (unless some rich owner wants to give NYS 400 mill) Bills in buffalo for 7 more seasons - and way more than likely, for the long term....nice job bills and NYS - not to mention NY taxpayers only foot 95 million of the total bill....im liking it
  23. no it isnt....unless I am totally clueless, I thought - starting this upcoming offseason/season - teams HAD to spend their cap money to at least a certain point (that would obviously be over what we normally allow ourselves to spend) ? And we have spent money the past two off seasons....im not worried about us spending money to keep Byrd and Levitre, i think it comes down to if THEY want to stay here (and honestly, I think Byrd will be gone - in two years since we will franchise him, and Levitre will long-term deal it up with us, he LOVES buffalo)
  24. eric woods fragileness is a joke (is fragileness a word?) reallly, I love eric wood, think he is an AWESOME lineman, just wish he had Levitre's body/stamina/whateveritisthatmakeshimnotgethurt im sure the toronto series does suck for the players....but it makes the team money and helps keep them in Buffalo...so we just live with it....
