  1. Our nickel D has held up against the run for most of the season, don't know why it would magically stop holding up now... Top 5 in total rushing yards allowed 15th in YPC Top 10 in TDs allowed via the rush DVOA run defense top 10 I dunno man, seems to be working. Our issues haven't been because of the nickel, its been missed tackles.
  2. Regarding the Dolphins running all over us...pretty easy explanation, extremely poor tackling and the LBs were a full 2 yards dropped off the LOS from their normal setup. This was done intentionally to flood the middle of the field and get into passing lanes, which means sacrificing against the run. Couple the alignment with the very poor tackling as usual and its easy to see why they ran all over us. Fine, would rather have that than wide open lanes for Hill/Waddle.
  3. Yea I remember him saying that. Im just thinking if he was still feeling pain last week while throwing, he would have been limited in practice because why put him through unnecessary pain? But I guess they could also be weighing the need to get him all the practice reps possible with his receivers since the offense needed to get back on track....which seemed to have worked for the most part against the Dolphins. Had been a while before last week of having a full week of practice with all the guys on offense going full.
  4. I was concerned about those comments but then saw he wasn't limited at all last week in practice. I feel like if he was truly dealing with pain in that elbow when throwing they would still keep him limited in practice, no? That gave me hope that he's on the other end of this injury. He would still be listed on the injury report because he is receiving treatment on it, but as far as it limiting his effectiveness in games I was hopeful we were past that point. Then of course, that strip sack probably was a set back.
  5. oh, so you are just being a douche and butt hurt about having a to move a game that was impossible to play in Orchard Park? Got it...moving along...
  6. where do you see this?
  7. McD is walking around practice in a "I wish it were windier" t-shirt oh wait no hes not, because hes not a douche
  8. I think we definitely see Phillips return this week considering Bryant was released to make room for Ike
  9. The game is on Saturday though, you said sunday
  10. you know something we dont?
  11. Tackling is one of the major problems with our defense, but its been a problem for four years now. Its not the scheme, and I don't even think its the coaching. By the time you get to the NFL you are either a sure tackler or you aren't. Yes of course there are things you can have a player work on, technique/angle/level but you don't go from being a poor tackler to a good one once your in the NFL. This seasons worst tacklers for us: Hamlin, Dane, Milano, and our entire d-line except for Ed. So really, the only good tacklers are Edmunds, Oliver, Taron and a healthy Poyer (his tackling numbers aren't great but hes had that fugged elbow for 2 months now and its obviously effecting him). I think the only solution to the tackling issue is replacing poor tacklers with better ones. We aren't replacing Milano or most people on our d-line, so in a way we are going to have to live with poo tackling by swarming to the football and get more hats to the ball. Thats my only possible suggestion to a solution. This defense is a top 5 defense in the NFL and McD/Fraziers scheme has had success for 20 years (longer going back to McD learning under Jim Johnson). This isn't a scheme thing. Its an execution thing, and that's mostly on the horses not the jockey.
  12. obligatory post of "the acutal wind isnt why Chicago is nicknamed the windy city"
  13. a foot of snow isnt going to fall during the game though lol.
  14. I'd imagine they will be plowing all day lol, its what they do when it snows how do you know this? I mean, there is a CHANCE it could snow, there is also a chance the accumulation DURING the game will be minimal. It's lake effect. And I haven't seen anyone predicting a foot during the game lol.
  15. my god no, there isn't any talk of that. Stop.
  16. missed tackles might be the easiest stat (other than drops) to calculate...the man touched the ball carrier and didnt bring him down. Easy.
  17. if you check the numbers of our run game over the past 5 weeks and subtract Josh we are a top 10 rushing offense in totals and efficiencies.
  18. You asked a question and I answered it. He is our leading rusher. If you cannot examine the run game in context of the season, I don't know what to tell you. If you watched the first 8 weeks and then compare it to the run game since, its a world of difference.
  19. Devin Singletary. And Josh is one of the best short yardage runners in the league. The past several weeks have really shown us we have the ability to run the football. We changed some schemes and found go-to concepts to "fix" the run game. I have no concerns about being able to run the football this week, or any other week when we decide thats what is best to win. Milano actually has an atrocious tackle rate this season for the record, he's above 15% missed tackles. But yes, we do need him to play for all the he brings, and there is no doubt that he will play. Joe Marino on Locked on Bills today broke down our missed tackles numbers..the only guys who had good numbers in the tackling department are Tremaine, Ed and Shaq. (Poyer he gives a pass to for playing with 1 arm).
  20. Kansas City for the playoffs last year...greatest football trip of my life, until the last 13 seconds (and even then, what an absolutely awesome weekend experience).
  21. there are A LOT of crying B****** in that twitter thread lol. Who cares??? Both teams play in it! Any advantage whatsoever is obviously slanted towards the Bills. We actually HAVE a run game, the dolphins literally do not. We can stop the run, the dolphins can not. We have a QB who is built for the elements, theirs is NOT. Our offense is adaptable and can win many ways, theirs is reliant on timing and speed which will not be helped by this weather. We have one of the best special teams units in the league, they have one of the worst. This has Bills ROLL all over it if it comes down to the elements.
  22. right but...his results are great lol, so we should praise
  23. also, the venom in this thread, and in this fanbase in general, for a coordinator whose unit has finished top 10 or better in every season he's been here is WILD
  24. I will believe it when I see it. He will be used, unfortunately, to satisfy the rooney rule. Sad.
