AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

I don't think his wish for a couple deep strikes to Cooper is as far off base is as your wish (although Id love to see Jones get buried and quit lol)...we took a couple deep shots on Cooper when he had a freakin huge cast on his hand in the first matchup. I think we take some downfield shots, and Cooper just might be the target. -

The d-line NEEDS to be nasty and difficult to block all game long, in both the run and the pass. If they are a problem for the Chiefs then we win this game going away. They have stepped up in big games, and in the playoffs, we need that to continue. -

Lane invented the early jump, not lining up 5 yards back off the LOS like Taylor does (taylor just happens to do them both lol)..is that what you meant? -

Rasul has CLEARLY lost a step this season, so he isnt able to react as quick and get those INT's...BUT, he is freaking due man and it would be great to see Sunday. I still think Elam will be part of the equation next season at CB2, along with a rookie and cheap vet. -

check Bills social media accounts, they posted a pic. I think it looks sick...as to if we have ever worn the blue socks with all white, I cannot recall. Edit: found the answer, they have worn all white with blue socks 3 times...2023 we beat the chargers, 2021 we lost to the Bucs in OT, 2020 we beat the Jets -

week to week league. You don't improve on what you show from one week to another because every matchup is completely different. Game plans, how the game unfolds, execution... Also why you can't draw conclusions based on past results, none of that matters. You have other teams tendencies and tape, build a game plan around that and make adjustments as the game unfolds. Talent, scheme, execution and a little bit of luck determine outcomes. -

I have no doubt that Josh would have led a scoring drive. I was simply commenting on the could have been costly decision at having ***** pass rushers out there when we needed our best. Tired or not, in a game tying or game ending drive, I want our best players out there. I find it hard to believe Von could have been tired though, having only played like 25% of the snaps. -

it certainly could be, I also have no idea. He legit seemed caught off guard by the question enough to make me think "does he really not know Milano was not in the game at the end?" Could have been a conscious decision, just like it was a conscious decision to have Solomon, Jefferson and Epenesa in as your pass rushers in the most critical minute of the game...a decision that thankfully did not cost us a trip the AFC championship. -
Part 2- Another disaster by McDs defense in the playoffs
PaattMaann replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
The defense was really solid even without the turnovers. Holding Henry to under 90 yards rushing and Jackson to under 40. And yes turnovers are a great equalizer, and thats why we work so hard to cause them. Turnovers and negative plays, havoc, thats what this defense looks for. -

A reporter noted that Milano missed every play after the 2 minute warning, asked if it was injury related or scheme. McD honestly looked like he had no idea that one of is best defensive players missed the last bit of the game. He said he had not heard from his training staff because they get in later in the day. It was awkward and weird response. Was reported on twitter that he banged knees with Lamar on his last play in the game, and was seen standing on the sidelines the rest of the time (no medical tent, no trainers giving him attention). -

we blitzed the hell out of Jackson, he was 6/12 for 99 yards and an INT. He also fumbled when we pressured him. When we didn't get pressure on him he carved us up...but we got pressure and it cost them the game my dude. Also, rushing Pat Mahomes is a little different than the rush plan against Lamar. We got two sacks and a bunch of pressures against Mahomes earlier this year. If you are just referring to past playoff performances and the d-line not getting pressure on him, ok sure that is accurate. But this is a different defense, with a different coordinator who isnt afraid to send pressure, with different defenders. -
Joe Brady, Josh Allen, and the playcalling
PaattMaann replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
not a good choice by Knox. He had blocks set up to the outside of the field and he took it inside. -
not to be disrespectful, but no, it isnt.

EPA is what your looking for We will get a shirtless Fitz as he says "WHERE WOULD YOU RATHER BE..." right in the beginning of the game. Bank on that.

he has forgotten more about football than you could ever learn in 10 lifetimes, thats all you need to know.

loved how the defense played that game. 35-14 before any breakdowns happened the last quarter of that game. The 3rd and 17 play that resulted in the 60 yard TD pass to Amon Ra that started their "comeback" was millimeters away from being tipped/picked by Bernard and then that game finishes a complete blowout. If you think the defense didn't play good football for 3 quarters of that game and were impressed by how we shut down the best offense in football then I don't know what to tell ya

ding ding ding, this is correct. The "adjustments" or "different packages" we will see are 3 LBs (Taron off) when Ravens go 2 back sets, and the 3-2-6 dime mirror on 3rd and long...there's no magic bullet, its just about execution. Those things CAN work. We wont see crazy, never tried before things...doing that in crunch time with the season on the line is moronic. We will NOT see them rotating Hamlin and Bishop lol, that's literally asinine to think.

I agree Baltimore is damn good, 2nd best AFC team behind us...and their D has turned it around... BUT, some context for who their D has turned it around against... (taken from YardsPerPass on twitter) Russel Wilson (2 times - 1 loss) Herbert Hurts (loss) Tim Boyle/Tommy Devito CJ Stroud (no dell or diggs) Bailey Zappe / DTR not exactly a murderers row, or Josh Allen and the Bills offense, that they have used to get to the best passing D in the league.... I aint scared of that defense.

in 4 of 6 matchups we kept him under 80 yards, a couple of those he didnt rush for more than 40... The problem isn't just Henry, if he had an average QB (or even a non mobile QB) then we could be just fine. Add in the play making ability of Lamar with his feet and its why its a tough matchup to solve. However, there are always answers to puzzles.

and I am sure that was by design. No need to empty a bag when your far superior. This weekend will be different. This is all hands on deck.
