God, that's a lot of stuff that has to go right. Teams that are truly close usually need one or two, not upwards of a dozen. The only thing I will say is if this team is bad, it won't be for too long given Chan's track record. In many respects he's the anti-Jauron when it comes to winning and losing.

Exactly. JP's arm was never the issue. What's between his ears is. You can't teach guys how to make faster decisions. Some guys need a split second longer to process a defense and that's a huge difference on the field. That indecision is the difference between getting the ball out and taking an inopportune sack with a fumble going the other way...Which is what we came to love JP for

History and statistics say he won't be a Tom Brady. HOF-bound franchise QB's picked late in the draft come around once in a generation. We'll be extremely lucky if Levi turns into a Gus Frerotte-type guy (also a fellow 7th round pick).

Most of these guys won't make the team...they are there to probably round out what goes on at rookie mini camp and/or voluntary OTAs to make sure they have enough guys.

That's just Nix's way of saying the previous regime couldn't game plan themselves out of a paper bag on offense. not a shock to us. If he's willing to give these guys another shot because of the Pop-Gun era then I guess I'm open to it too. And if this fails and we end up with a shot at Locker, etc...then I guess it's a pretty low-risk win/win?

this obviously is a weak QB class. Only two going in 1st round and Tebow is a complete project. Wait until next year...as hard as that may be to swallow for some.

while it may be against popular belief, I'm saying no QB in the 2nd round. Here's why: We've probably all seen the logs of the recent Super Bowl-winning QB's, they are most ALL high first round picks. Brees was one pick out of the first round and Brady is by far the exception. This team isn't going to be Super Bowl bound in one year. I think they need to wait until next year and target a QB in round 1 then. in the meantime stock up on everything else. Spiller a great pick, IMO. A potential superstar which this team has none of. Continue to get BPA, Nix. Guys that can individually chance the complexion of a game.
