  1. All the more reason for a stultifying clock killing running game. Brady can't complete any passes while on the bench. Yeah, its boring...but it is the only way to beat Brady. When Brady is on the field the only way to even slow him down is a killer pass rush. We need todraft to get a killer pass rush.
  2. Jags fan? I'm not sure you want to deal with that. Now if she were a patriot or fish fan, I'd say dump her. Does she actually know you are a bills fan?
  3. Push back or not...who cares? They have work to do and ought to get it done, Christmas or no Christmas.
  4. apparently he was a guy you could count on in the games he played in a difficult situation for the bills. That's better than I can say for most of the offensive line roster spots this year. I could care less what he was like in the locker room, in the restaurant or in church.
  5. I think Belichick has something to do with these plans. What a combination...AQ and the Patriots...
  6. where's the link? When did he say he didn't want to stay in Buffalo? Why would he think he wouldn't get a chance to be a starter when Wood was a question mark after a serious injury? I'm not buying it unless someone has a link quoting the guy making such a statement.
  7. AHHH...the republicans don't want to work between now and Christmas? Wow..nearly 10% of the friggin workforce is unemployed, we are scheduled for a huge tax increase in a few days if you don't get your "rich get richer" tax bill doesn't pass, American soldiers are being killed daily and you basxtards are mad you don't get home to bake your freakin cookies? Get to freakin work.
  8. I kind of see this as gamesmanship. Whitner would like a deal but the Bills don't see him as one of those "must have" guys although they are ready to bargain. I suspect Whitner will test the free agent market and would not be surprised if he gets a good deal. It is a business after all.
  9. What is the basis for the assertion that Incognito did not want to stay in Buffalo? Was an offer made? What if any discussions took place?
  10. a slow plodding running game means the dolphins are off the field. If they are on the field they would probably employ a slow plodding running game to keep us off the field. Scoring early and often is a great idea, though.
  11. http://online.wsj.com/article/AP1475ca20e3c2461f9026c5b6c11f246d.html Kind of hard to believe a "strength snd conditioning" coach would organize this kind of thing. Why don't they come clean and say their team strategy was to have everyone stand close to the line (not forbidden and actually makes sense) and leave it at that. What Alosi did was enough to warrant his being fired if not banned from the NFL altogether. Another case of an organization taking a bad situation and making it worse.
  12. he is what he is. He is a low round first draft choice. One expects and is entitled to expect more (except in Buffalo recently.) Is he going to be good? I tend to think so. Is he good now? I don't see it. Will he not be a bust next year? Maybe...I hope so. But..for a number 9 pick this year...he's a bust so far.
  13. Ok..he is one quarterback it would be very hard to say no to. Discipline in in decision making is going to mean looking to the person who can best help this team get to the playoffs, and that discipline has us going for the best defensive lineman or linebacker and a great offensive lineman. But even I have to admit I'd swallow very hard before passing on CN.
  14. Spiller has in fact been a disappointment and a bust. He might become something better, and I hope he does. Until he's shown he's a good choice, he's not a good choice.
  15. That is a sick and pathetic stereotype. I ususually stop puking well before the fourth quarter. Actually I'm usually unconscious by the fourth quarter...so there!
  16. I was against Shanahan as Bills head coach, but then I was against Gailey as head coach. Gailey has earned my respect in the second half of this season and I'm quite comfortable with him as coach, although I would have preferred Fewell. Actually I'm with the Senator in wanting Mike Leach, but I think we might be a small group at that.
  17. The Stratton hit is still discussed, even on this board and is as big a part of Bills lore as any of our Superbowl teams. Perhaps the 2000 yard plus season of OJ overshadows it. We were wracking our minds as to who knocked out Joe Montana in a playoff game a few years ago, so I can't see the Moats hit meaning very much in the big picture.
  18. The pats are first in the league with nearly 32 points pwer game. Hence the key to beating them is probably to keep them off the field (much like Parcells did with the Bills in our first superbowl. That means a time killing stultifying running game. The second part is to keep Brady in check with a front seven that gives him no time to do anything. Sounds like a draft and personnel plan to give strength to run blocking and pass rushing. I don't think New England is invincible.
  19. Call me old fashioned but I'm the kind of guy who probably wouldn't pick up an offensive lineman who couldn't pass block or run block. Maybe he is going to take Cornell Green's place? He had better work on holding penalties then.
  20. sure...in his undies...on a rail...with tar and feathers...
  21. Since Warner and Romo are free agents I would say they were the luckiest picks of all time before Brady in the 6th round. Not taking anything away from Brady who may be (I hate to say it) one of the two or three best qb's of all time.
  22. looks like a good haul. Certainly would put quality people in areas of need. I'm gonna wait until the camps to see who looks good as we approach the draft, but your strategy sounds like the best...Defensive front seven and O-line. I even like the tight end (I'm liking the guy from Tennessee though).
  23. I stended that game. That was truly one hell of hit. I had seats way way up at the top of the stadium and I felt it myself. Its a wonder Boomer ever got up. I remember one in a playoff game against Kansas City where Joe Montana got the living hell knocked out of him. I want to say Darryl Talley, but I just don't remember who hit him.
  24. Stratton's hit is four or five levels above any other hit ever made by any buffalo bill in the team's history. It is the hit that gave us an AFL championship.
