  1. no brainer. Reiff. There are some interesting tackle possibilities that might make it to the third round as well, but we have to address the left tackle position.
  2. Let's see...that is two misdemeanor charges at a minimum and I suspect the first charge of underage drinking is a misdemeanor as well. I said the guy had issues. I think this number of charges, convictions, and pleas would kind of bear that out. He might be the next Donte Stallworth.
  3. I could certainly have picked better and more valuable football players than they did, which is the issue of this post. The bar for being a better coach is pretty low considering that we are doing so much worse than we were the year Jauron (not the greatest coach) left.
  4. Check it out. Oher has played left tackle as much as right tackle and was moved to right after McKinnie was signed. He'll be going back to left tackle. reif will play left tackle, right tackle or guard but he's the second best offensive lineman on the board, and we need offensive linemen.
  5. hey, he has three arrests and two convictions, his most recent episode (DUI) he was twice over the legal limit. I'm not seeing taking a guy people are talking about drafting at 20 to 22 with a 10 pick. Reif is by most accounts the second best tackle in the draft, with Martin close behind (or in the opinion of some on this board a little ahead of Reif). I say go with either tackle before going for a reach pick in Floyd.
  6. I go back to Gino Cappelletti and Babe Parilli and those rockpile days when the rivalry was intense. I know the fish made a few hard decades for us, and I hate them too, but I gotta go with the Pats as my most hated team. The jets? I can't really rile up a lot of hate on them, although they aren't a favorite team of mine.

  8. Actually, no..he plays left tackle and is projected as of now as a left tackle prospect. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1111621-nfl-draft-2012-profiling-former-iowa-ol-riley-reiff This right tackle stuff is what I heard when we passed on Michael Oher.
  9. Given their won/loss record in buffalo I'm not at all concerned that they don't.
  10. I agree that Reif and Floyd are the only two likely to be there at 10. I'd go Reif. Floyd isn't a franchise guy and has issues.
  11. How about we have no left tackle, the right isn't all that magnificent and we have a chance to get the second or third best tackle in the draft at 10, Rief if he lasts that long? That pretty much takes Gilmore out of the picture for me in round one.
  12. Round one...Reif...best player available is position of worst need. No-brainer Round two...Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech Round three..Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska Round four A..Jamell Fleming, CB, Oklahoma Round four B.. Khaled Holmes, G, USC Rouns five..Jarius Wright, WR, Arkansas Round six..Keith Tandy, CB, West Virginia Round seven a... Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State Round seven b...T-Bob Hebert, C/G, LSU
  13. oh hell...after I win, the tailgate party will be on me.
  14. From your lips (or sirius's lips) to God's ear
  15. I'm not hot on wasting any high pick on a qb. There are two franchise guys and they are going 1 and 2. After that it's a lick and promise. In our case we could go to round 5 before we could justify a flier on a qb.
  16. Whwe did he have Riley Reiff going? I seem him in most drafts anywhere between 7 and 23. I think if Reiff is there at 10 that is where we are going.
  17. you should have "none of the above" as a choice if your are talking about 10. If you are talking about the second round, I don't think any of them will be there when we pick.
  18. Are you saying that Rief and Martin won't go on Day One? I gaurantee they will both go in the first round, and I'm not even sure Rief won't go before 10. You guys kill me. Chan and Buddy both know that the biggest need is OT, and if they don't address it in free agency they haven't got much choice but to go with one of these guys. I see both of them being successful in the NFL.
  19. The question is whether Rief is going to actually be there at 10, not whether he is worth a 10. If he's there he is worth a 10 in a spot we need. If he isn't Martin will be and some here argue that because his arm is one inch longer he is better than Reif. I don't see Martin getting past about 16 so I don't see him as a reach. If we could get Kalil? I would probably move up, but I don't see that happening for a reasonable price.
  20. Kalil is worth trading up for if we can get him. I disagree in that Rief may not even make it to 10 and I see Martin as a good choice at 10. We have to cure arterial bleeding (read OT) before we shore up other areas, and there are only three tackles who can fill our needs.
  21. I like Frency's as well. All suggestions are good but you might want to rent a kayak or take a ferry out to Caladesi Island for great beach experience.
  22. This draft is heavy inwide receivers and I see us getting a very exceptional receiver in the third round. BPA in the second of OT, CB, DE, OLB or WR.
  23. well well...FINALLY....there are three top tackles, Kalil, Rief and Martin. Any one would be an appropriate pick if they fall to 10. I think Kalil is long gone by 10 but Rief and or Martin should be available.
  24. Sounds like a good idea to me. Keeps the chance of a "coup" with an interim coach looking to keep the job when Payton returns, and Parcells will certainly give some stability to what looks like a very unstable situation. Not a big Parcells fan, but it sounds like a very good option.
