  1. I think the season will turn on Fitz's play, and how the offensive line performs. I would think and expect (again) a 9 or 10 win season. We were crippled with a slew of injuries last year and lacked depth in a number of areas. I think we will be very competitive in AFC East, but New England is (as always in recent history) the 800 pound gorilla in the room.
  2. okay okay..."on the cusp" is a nice phrase that means you still had only 6 wins last season. Lets shut up and get on to those "special things". I'm impressed by this draft and the personnel moves to date...let's make it show in the win-loss record.
  3. could have been worse. She might have been a urologist.
  4. Looks like a great draft right now..but remember the Bills won only six games last year. In the final analysis its about wining football games. Its time to put up significant wins or get out. Everybody has a great draft now...tell me about it in December.
  5. McGeeand Mckelvin are in a put up or shut up situation. I don't like their chances. If pressed I'd bet on Florence and Gilmore rising to the top pushed by Williams. Showcasing McKelvin might not be a bad idea.
  6. The lines look to be in good shape at least eight or nine deep. I would think the cuts on the lines will come pretty quick. If I were advising the second tier linemen, I'd say its time to put on your game face and come nasty....or you'll be looking at your next career sooner rather than later.
  7. two kickers? I can't imagine that happening. The guy had better be practicing field goal kicking as well. Wonder if Lindell's age and wear and tear (wear and tear?...a field goal kicker?) is catching up to him.
  8. Actually when my daughter in law insisted on having a gun in the house, that was my advice to her. The shotgun is the best weapon to have in that situation. She might actually hit someone if push comes to shove. Using a pistol is hit or miss proposition with heavy odds on the miss...including the "range wonders" doing the posting here.
  9. calling this guy Roscoe is a huge stretch. I'm not seeing much here.
  10. Hilarious. If we ever have a TBD hall of fame, I'm nominating ieatcrayonz for the inaugaural membership.
  11. I'm not a huge fan of Glenn, but he is almost certainly a tackle given his size, experience and our need. He was definitely a steal.
  12. I thought we would get Reiff in Round one..but the selections were excellent. Gilmore was the BPA and we do need a corner. Glenn, I'm still not sure about him but on paper the third best tackle out there. I keep thinking Mike Williams, but we shall see. I think Bill from NYC hit the nail on the head calling him high risk but high reward, or something like that. The other picks look excellent. In the final analysis you better not plan to stay around after a six win season without turning the tables on the win-loss record-good draft or bad draft.
  13. Well if you subscribe to the "best player available" as opposed to the "best player who can help your team actually win more than 6 games" Barron is a good choice. If you want to fix the arterial bleeding you'll go with Reiff. If you can't get either of them Keuchly and Gilmore are good compromising candidates to both schools of thought.
  14. How many wins last season? 6 I'm waiting to see something show up on the field.
  15. For those who think they are going to defend their home. 1. Getting the weapon in the dark, when you've just been woken up and are terrified may be a lot harder than you think it is. 2. Identifying the perp, aiming and pulling the trigger on a human being at 3am is fundamentally different from the hours you spent on the range. You'll not be able to pull the trigger, or will be horribly inaccurate. 3. The price of poker goes up enormously when you fire that weapon. The perp may have one as well and be a lot calmer and less hesitant to put one into your forehead. Just sayin...
  16. I thought you had found a way to trade up and get Kalil AND Blackmon. Would that that were possible!
  17. ahoops...my bad. I think I'd go with Reiff over Martin and I suspect Reiff will be there at 10.
  18. Surprise if the player is still on the board? No one would be surprised at an OT, WR, or Defensive lineman or linebacker. Luck/RG/Kalil/Richardson/Blackmon/are for sure to be picked before 10. I think that leaves Barron or Tannehill as the "surprise".
  19. Kalil is the tackle from Stanford, and a wonderful choice for Buffalo, but I don't see that happening. We can always hope though.
  20. I hunted wild boar in Turkey many many years ago. I remember the guy I was hunting with saying that they were vicious bad natured animals with sharp tusks that would castrate you if they got the chance. Actually...now I can see how a guy could mistake one for his wife!
  21. If Billick knew how to draft great quarterbacks..he'd still be coaching.
  22. She ain't getting any younger. You might want to be hunting something a little fresher.
  23. Titans pick in order available.

    C Phillip Blake, Baylor

    G Lucas Nix, Pittsburgh

    C David Molk, Michigan

    G Brandon Washington, Miami

  24. Tannehill is a boy wonder coming up from mid second round to maybe a third pick AFTER he finished his playing career. Look at the tape and think very very hard before you take him at ten. After Maybin and Spiller, this crew may get a quarterback who will be good in a couple of years, but he will be working under a new GM and Coach.
