Look...maybe its not so bad. Maybe the bills weren't so bad, but we were the unlucky team to be on the other side of the line of scrimmage when Sage Rosenfels came into his own. Watch him play pro-bowl caliber ball the rest of the season. Years from now when he gives his Hall of fame speech we can say..."Gosh I watched that game against Buffalo when he showed he was one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the game."

Is this what the Dem's mean when they say..

Just because a position (getting out of Iraq) is popular doesn't necessarily mean it isn't right. -
Interesting. I would dump williams and all of the folks you mentioned except perhaps Aiken. I would rely on free agency for two or possibly three quality linemen. I would be surprised if we could get three quality offensive linemen, but if not I would opt for a quality tight end or defensive tackle. What I couldn't fill in free agency I'd try to get in the draft in my first second and third picks. I agree that defensive backs are going to be necessary, but I think we have to go with what we have next year in the defensive backfield. Maybe a corner with the fourth or fifth pick.

And who, pray tell, hired the coach?

i suspect TD and Mularkey will go together, so I expect the announcement to be made after the last game. Another possibility is that they will both go during the season, which might happen if the simmering resentment on the part of the team escalates. In any event I'd sell my TD/MM stock.

I notice no one has disputed the underlying assertion...that we can't win in Iraq. Given that no one has defined "winning" yet, I think Dean has a point. The fact is there will be a civil war when we leave. If we leave tomorrow there will be a civil war. If we leave after the election, there will be a civil war. If we leave in two years with another 2500 dead GI's, there will be a civil war. Dean is right. Murtha is right. We should have never gone there and the "right" decision was not to go there in the first place (see my quote BEFORE we went in there about Augustine's criteria for a just war and how we didn't meet those standards.) Well...I guess its more fun to shoot the messenger than deal with an unpleasant message. -
Actually tennyboy and goatman were banned. I participated recently as pope zimli, never denying who I was, and in fact was pm'd by a moderator. No ethical problem that I can see. Now if you want to bring up that thing with erynthered, Ghost of BIB, me and the sheep.....

Happily yes...taught a law school course of my design on the rights of people with disabilities. I'd love to see it added permanently to the curriculum.

Somehow I can't see Belichek worrying very much when he looks at the film this week.

Given the way MM is coaching I somehow wonder if he will ever be in the position to run up the score against anybody. Some of us are the ones with our feet on someone's throat...and some of us are the one's whose throat are under somebody's foot. we pretty much know the kind that MM is. -
The women were a great consolation in the cold russian winter. Tough job but somebody had to do it.

just a hello to all you folks after a period on the gulag! Bills haven't been doing too well in my absence. Come to think of Bush has had some problems as well.

(OT) So, how was your week sports fans?
tennesseeboy replied to kasper13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well..University of Tennessee beat Alabama (huge rivalry here) and keep lead in SEC, ranked 11 today. Fulmer is a coach and a half (not only physically...he's an ex offensive lineman who has Krispy Kreme on speed dial). He did it with a rebuilding team...two pure freshmen quarterbacks, freshman at a number of skill positions, pretty much a whole new defensive backfield. No excuses...just wins. What a difference from my very favorite team which is great on excuses, poor on performance. Not much into baseball, but the Sox did look pretty good. Overall, a very good sports week, with the exception of another pisspoor performance by Mularkey and Donohue. -
How bout a brown jersey, given that we are playing like crap?

These are the times that try us bills fans' souls. The slogan is the losers mantra that is said over and over in every sport: "Wait til next year!"

What's the worst problem on this team?
tennesseeboy replied to KurtGodel77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we are talking about this many problems (and you are right..we HAVE this many problems) then TD and MM should probably go. And the sooner the better. -
Ejamacated Guess-Losman Starts 11/21 vs. Rams
tennesseeboy replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. If Losman were healthy they should start him next week. I think it might not be a bad idea to get ready for next year. Frankly I think it might not be a bad idea to fire TD now and get moving on finding a new GM. MM should probably finish out the season. -

I think Hull deserves it the most, with Tasker a close second. I have a feeling that Tasker as a special teamer and the only pure special teamer to be MVP in a Pro Bowl will make him the one this year. Just a feeling. -
AD has a point. The law of the state is a critical thing, as to whether it is employment at will, and even if it is employment at will (such as Tennessee or New York, for instance) there is a different state law that applies. Now she may have a cause of action for something called promissory estoppel. I make a representation to her upon which she relies to quit her job and move. The courts may enforce it against her. Anyway it is worth her while to consult with an attorney.

A favorite group of mine. I remember when they did a concert at Brockport in 1997 that was really outstanding. They arranged an afternoon basketball game with the women's varsity team and made a point of giving them a hard time during the concert. Really terrific show. -
Congrats to my Brother Steve in Roch

Congrats...I turned a new grandpa two weeks ago and just got the kid a little bills jersey. Maybe the two of them could be the defensive ends we really need. I just visited the fella last weekend. Brilliant child with a sense of what is important. He sleeps...he cries...he eats...he sleeps...he poops...he cries...he eats. -
The Bills definitely can win this game. If we minimize the mistakes and control the clock we'll be just fine. I'm not going beyond this week ...but us being 2-4 is a nice short term goal.
