  1. Carrol was a terrible person. The Bills were a helpless bunch of crybabies who had already quit, led by a clueless coach who was wondering where the hell he was. What was the point in taking it to a bunch of guys who shouldn't even be in the NFL to begin with given the way they played? Now had the bills actually not given up already and might have mustered the strength to defend against a fake punt or even to go on down the field and score, it would have been a different story.... No...Carrol took out his ire on a pathetic and untalented bunch of losers when he didn't have to. Shame on him.
  2. chan is only a part of the problem. Time to clean house and start over.
  3. I'm not sure what the bottom is. We suck, but there is potential and given the present administration, the likelihood that we will be considerably worse next year. Those who are free agents and can go almost certainly will. Even if we fire Chan and Buddy today, we are still pretty much at square one.
  4. I know I was the first to protest chan's hiring, and have always had unrealistic goals such as expecting us to become competitive or at least as good as the last coach. I know I was being unrealistic before the season started when I posited that we should expect chan to get nine wins to keep his job. I know better now. It takes seven or eight years to see results. You have to tear down before you build up and and we are right on target in our tear down. A few more trades to get rid of players like Marshawn Lynch and drafts to avoid players like A J Green and Andy Dalton and Anthony Davis, and we'll be at the tear down point and ready to rebuild..... GO BILLS.....I'm hoping my grandchildren reap the awards of this process.
  5. Heart goes out to the families involved. What a horror.
  6. I'm a loser by the Beatles sounds about right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3rkLRJ0m0k or "Maybe this time...I'll win" from cabaret?
  7. the 2009 team won 6 games. I'm not at all confident this bunch will do better. It had better running back combo (Jackson and Lynch) judging by yards gained. The linebackers were better in my opinion. The pathetic nature of this discussion is we are arguing over which team sucked worse. The takeaway of all this is that we have not shown any significant progress in three years.
  8. Te'o lasting until the eleventh pick? I doubt it. If we lose out we might be in contention for him, I guess.
  9. Why would anyone think Gailey can or will find a quality OC to run that phase of the game? He has drafted poorly and hired poorly since day one. We have a very very second rate administration whose ASPIRATION is to be as good as the second rate administration that preceded it. And they can't even do that. Time to clean house in the administration ranks and let the new people decide how to handle the very substantial talent we still have and engage in wise free agency moves and be effective as a game day coach as well. Being a game day coach was Chan's strong point early on but this year he has been just unbelievable.
  10. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000084807/article/chip-kelly-perry-fewell-among-top-nfl-head-coach-candidates These are some hot candidates, and I suspect the guy we could get and who would do the best job is Perry Fewell. Fewell will also have some very serious demands about the administrative changes which would have to take place and as to his authority which other candidates might not make. I say if the Bills are going to be turned around he is the man to do it. Probably was the better choice when we hired Chan Gailey.
  11. HO HUM...finally finally people are realizing that Gailey isn't a very good coach. Took long enough.
  12. Well...I'm not the kind of guy who is going to say "I told you so." However if I were that kind of guy this would be a really good time to say it.
  13. Chan was nothing special the day he was hired. He has done nothing much to improve the team. The team we have now is not better than the team Jauron left us with, and Chan's record is worse than the Jauron record. He ain't even gonna get the nine wins that would justify his staying. Chan...this team would be better off without you.
  14. He is a probowl running back and pretty close to being the Seahawk franchise player. He couldn't be managed in Buffalo, but apparently he is being managed in Seattle. That would indicate that the fact he couldn't be managed in Buffalo might be the fault of the people charged with managing him. What we got in return was nothing... There is also the lost opportunity cost. We "wasted" a first round choice (offensive tackle, linebacker, defensive line?) that could have been a major improvement to the team on Spiller. Spiller may be a probowl back soon and I hope he is. So we took an existing probowler and traded him away for nothing and used the first round to get another someday probowl running back. Yet another reason for a new administration in the Bills.
  15. scandal at Penn State? Whoda thunk it?
  16. Some real ass-ets there....Girls seem to getting behind in their work....The contestants appear to have been nicely reared.
  17. Carter gets in over Reed. Tasker may get in. He is the only special teamer, I believe, to be named MVP in an All Star game, and he made huge contributions to special teams. I still think he will be a very long shot.
  18. Actually they have played a lot of team like them all year. Oklahoma,Stanford, Pittsburgh and USC to name four. Oregon would have been the one team that they haven't played anyone like all year. Notre Dame has a remarkable defensive front seven and I suspect neither Alabama nor Georgia have played one that strong all year. I would have to give Alabama a slight edge over Notre Dame and Notre Dame a slight edge over Georgia....but I'm rooting for Notre Dame all the way.
  19. Actually most everyone in the bar where I was watching the game were smiling and snickering at the Bills..
  20. I said it on day one and I will say it now. This is nine win team. Playoffs? I donT know...but teams have made the wild card with nine. The bills have to take care of the colts and move on from there
  21. Pretty good analysis, and this year so far has been less than expected. I'm not ready to give up though. From the get go I've said we should demand a nine win season and I still think we might have it in us.
  22. nah not relevant but an enjoyable factoid....and there is a long way to go before the decision about who plays in Miami is actually made. ND still has to be Southern Cal, and Alabama has to win the SEC....I don't understand why nobody is throwing Georgia out as a possible contender.
